Maybelline Volum' Express Mega Plush Review

My experience with this mascara was actually opposite as it was described to be. I found it very hard and clumpy, and taking it off was extremely irritating to my skin (and mentally). Not worth the money.

I found that it need what it said it would, gave my lashes volume and actually did thicken to make them appear to be false lashes. There was also no irritation, no smudging or flaking. Downfalls include drying out, it doesn't last very long once initially opened and also it took a few attempts to remove, even though it doesn't state that it is waterproof, needed some eye makeup remover and a couple of pads to remove successfully.

I found this so annoying to use, the part of the brush that gives is a pain. I felt like I could never get right into the root of the lashes or get a good swipe from root to tip. I'd get frustrated really fast and end up getting mascara in every direction. Not a fan.

I was so excited to try this mascara, I had heard quite a bit about it so I took the plunge and went out and purchased it. That was my first mistake. The brush is quite big, and the bristles on the brush actually veer off in different directions. And because of that, I find that after applying the mascara, the very tip of my lashes have product pointing in different directions, and it just looks messy. Another thing I don't like about this mascara is that it makes my lashes stick together, 2-3 lashes clumped together making them stick out, and not in a good way. I like my lashes separated, not clumped together. One thing that some people might class as a bonus is the bendable wand, though I personally didn't find that it made any difference to the application. Overall, I wasn't very happy with the mascara. Even though it added a generous amount of length to my lashes. I definitely wouldn't repurchase.

Love this mascara! its big huge brush is perfect for my crazy curly lashes! its easy to apply and am not left with a clumpy look. the brown black colour is great for a natural makeup look but still wanting your eyes to pop. the black is great for any occasion! this is a build-able mascara too Ive found and I still don't look clumpy even with 2 coats. Would recommend this and will definitely buy again

I tried this after finding it at a makeup clearance sale and after hearing great things about some of the other Maybelline mascaras, however I was very disapointed with it. I found that it coloured my lashes black but didn't really give much volume or length at all, which from a mascara that advertises 'mega volume' was a big let down.

I looooveeee this mascara! It is one of my favourites. Very easy to apply and makes your lashes look nice and thick. I prefer it over most of the other Maybelline mascaras!

I think this is a great mascara, because I love big lashes! It definitely adds a great dal of volume and length to the lashes, for a more dramatic night time effect. The brush is easy to use and the mascara itself is smooth and easy to apply. It leaves lashes looking defined and long, while remaining relatively soft to touch. The only thing I could fault is the thickness of the solution whcih has a tendecy to create clumpiness on the lashes.

I really like Maybelline products usually but this just didn't cut the mustard for me. It took ages to dry, clumped my lashes together & came off to easy aswell - had to wipe under my eyes constantly. Far too expensive for poor quality

I love this mascara as I have long lashes and it makes me longer but I am not a fan of the wand the bristles are to long and it bends to much when trying to apply. I have cleaned one of my define a lash wands and I use that to apply it and I get the same result and is much easier to apply using that wand instead.
