Maybelline Define-a-lash Mascara Review

I liked this because it didn't clump. It doesn't add much volume but it does what it says- it defines your lashes making them look more natural, rather than bold and elongated. However over time I found that the formula became thick and lumpy, and thus began to clump a bit.

I love Maybelline Mascara anyway, but this one was my deadset standby when I lived overseas and had a different range of choices. I still buy it in NZ too. It just WORKS. What more can I say?

The hot pink (or lime green, depending on if you want the waterproof one or not) tubes are funky, eyecatching and - importantly - easy to spot in your makeup bag.

The thinner tube and flexible, skinny brush are ideal for full application and ensuring that lashes are all found and painted.

The mascara goes on easily, doesn't clump or flake, and definitely defines lashes.

It also comes off the way it should (ie cleanly, with the help of makeup remover) without smearing and residual black marks.

Main drawcard - makes my lashes look hot!

A light beautiful no-clumpy-nonsense mascara with a fabulous brush that coats each lash individually.

Doesn't really add volume (but it doesn't say it will) but it elongates slightly and provides a sort of "your lashes but better" look which I find myself reaching for more often that I had initially expected.

I have this mascara and while it is quite good, i find the brush to be a weird shape. It does make my lashes look thicker though!!

I received this for free in the mail from a sample website (forgot name!) my friend gave me the link to. At first when I received it, thought it will be really good to try it out, curled my lashes as usual, applied, and I honestly didn't really see much of a difference. My eyes didn't stand out and they seemed ok looking. Although I loved this after put on false lashes and applied after.

I really liked this mascara, as it has a straight brush that was flexible enough to go to the base of the eyelashes to the tips without clumping really thickened and lengthened my eyelashes i loved it

I received this free from a website and I found it great, The small brush helped with getting right to the bottom of your lashes. Makes lashes look great and no clumping =)

This product is a great mascara to wear everyday! and one of the great things about it, is that if you go swimming it doesn't run unless you rub your eyes!!!

I didn't really enjoy this mascara, i received it free from a website so i wouldn't go out and personally buy this one.

I found it didn't work to well on my top lashes, although the brush and application worked superb, it didn't give me the look was after.

Worked great on the lower lashes though. Wouldn't turn it down if i received it as a gift or free again.

I LOVE this mascara is defiantly my new FAVORITE. I can apply it very sparingly and get a really nice natural look for casual outings. For a night out i just apply a few layers until i am satisfied with the length and thickness. Have had many compliments and is so easy to remove!
