The mousse formula is really nice and it lengthens but the brush is pretty average. If the brush was better the mascara would be much easier to use as it clumps easily :(
Dont get me wrong, Maybelline is good for its formulas for thick, luscious lashes. This mascara doesnt disappoint.... but I HATE the wand with a PASSION. Every time you sweep the wand against your lashes, the damn tip bends away, meaning you literally cannot get the product into the lashes. I ended up using a wand from the CollossalLash mascara after about three or four applications. In saying that, the formula is very thin and I kept getting it on my lids every time i used it. I just wouldnt recommend. Ever.
Tips: Use a reliable wand, or buy a different mascara
hate the brush! so hard to use. although the formula is alright, the brush is a huge set back for me. Overall very disappointed :/
I brought this mascara as it was advertised as giving your eyelashes amazing volume and length.... it doesnt. It clumps and makes my eyelashes stick to each other, it takes me ages to apply it to make it look half good...and now it sits in my drawer as an emergency back up mascara. Wouldnt spend money on it again
I was unsatisfied with this mascara because i have short lashes and even though i brushed from base to tip it didn't give me the desired look i was expecting
Tips: dont pump the wand brush inside the mascara tube as this creates bubbles inside and causes the mascara to clump. try twisting it inside the tube before pulling it out to get an even layer on the wand instead.
Cute packaging The brush is great... has a oval shaped brush that really gets into the corners and glides on quite nicely but a hour or so after I kept batting my eyes because I could feel it on my eyelashes. It wasn't a very comfortable mascara to wear and come the end of the day I had little mascara flakes under my eyes.. and then came time to wash of.. not the easiest of mascaras to get of... first and probably last time I use a GEL mascara. Have tried it 2 other times and same issues. Has been thrown into the 'backup makeup' draw and probably won't be seen again until my next spring clean.
Tips: If u like a 'no makeup feel' then probably not the best
A unique flexible brush I was not amazed by the initial results but I kept applying more and more coats and eventually got a satisfied result with volume and length but this product does not have a very good shelf life the formula goes clumpy and the results are no longer as satisfactory and the formula is hard to remove. What I like is the brush has lots of bristles that can get the little sparse lashes and the formula thickened as and began to dry up as I was putting on more coats but not to the point of going all stiff and i was able to keep combing through with the brush so that I could separate each lash I hate when they all stick together. The packaging makes it easily identified as the known brand because it is similar to their other range of mascaras. Above it says the price is $32.95 and if I was to re buy I would not at that price. I scored mine online two mascaras for $17 including post so I am happy with that. I cannot wait to try the other and if I like the other one better I will be swapping the brushes over and seeing if this makes a difference this is why I like the packaging as you can mix the brush lids around to suit your liking and application techniques.
It was my first mascara, I really liked the packaging which is what drew me to it in the first place, I didn't like that the brush was bendy, it made it hard to apply and the brush is very thick which made it nearly impossible to use on my bottom lashes, it was also very hard to get off! Definitely not ideal for a beginner (as I was at the time) because of the brush which was very hard to work with.
I'm not too fond of the bendy brush I feel it limits the effectiveness of the mascara :( I the formula was great for a start but it became clumpy and messy in a very short amount of time. It's a great concept but they need to do a remodel of the product in this case. I find that it lacks the "plush" that gives it its name :( probably one of my least favourite maybelline products.
