L'Oreal Paris Paradise Mascara Reviews

The packaging had a lux look - the great thing is this product does not carry the hefty lux price tag. The formula is of the right consistancy - not to dry or too runny I really like the brush as it's easy to use and allows you to coat every lash for full effect. Upon first application my lashes looked so much longer and thicker. It is really easy to layer if you prefer a more dramatic effect but don't want it to clump.

I wore this all day and barely noticed any smudging.

This was easy to remove at the end of the day by using my normal make up remover.

The product claims to give you Length, curl, volume, dark and has a smudge proof pigment.

I can confirm it does all of the above!

I have only been using this product for 5 days but find myself reaching for it over my normal high end mascara I have bought.

I would definitely recommend it.

SMELL Not offensive at all

FORMULA This mascara does exactly what it says, it doesn't smudge all day, there's no clumps, it defines and lengthens every lash and I always do two coats and with this one it looks like I have falsies on.

I'm in love with this mascara and will definitely be purchasing once it's empty!

It just does work as well as other mascaras. I feel like they were trying to recreate Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara. The wand is very similar where it’s kind of like a brush with lots of bristles. The product itself is very think and it takes a couple of coats to make it look even and nice. It’s doesn’t really thicken or lengthen my lashes as well as other mascaras but it can give a nice and natural look.

I was puzzled by the “supple” claim as I have never really thought about wanting supple eyelashes but the mascara does dry very soft. It did last the day.

Overall, I have my favourites and this one just didn’t cut it for me

I have short, sparse eyelashes with 0 curl so I'm always on the hunt for the best mascara I can get my hands on and the Paradise is pretty up there.

The packaging was nice, did the job, but nothing to write home about.

The wand was easy to use without smearing mascara everywhere (always a plus) and did a great job of separating lashes - I'm not a fan of clumpy looks and this definitely avoided that.

The formula did a great job of thickening and lengthening the appearance of my lashes. It didn't add much curl at all, but paired with a lash curler I was very happy with the look of my lashes - long, voluminous, and nicely separated.

It also definitely stuck to their claim of no flaking or smudging, so overall I'm very happy with its performance.

I didn't think I would like this for some reason but I really do.

It definitely has a Better Than Sex feel to it. The packaging and wand definitely reminded me of BTS. I think this formula is waaaay better though, it's not as clumpy or quite so wet and doesn't smudge so easily on me.

I even put this mascara on my bottom lashes thinking that it would almost certainly smudge during the day. I never wear bottom lash mascara because of this. However it managed to last the whole day!

While it stays on well, I didn't find it too difficult to remove which is good because you don't want to be scrubbing at your eyes.

I would say it is volumising and lengthening. It does everything I need in a mascara.

The only reason I've marked down sightly is because a product that is from a brand that tests on animals could never be perfect to me. It's 2019, there is no need to test on animals!

I’ve been using fiber mascara for a long time as I’ve found every ‘normal’ mascara flakes and I end up with it under my eyes. I don’t have this problem with this mascara! Not flaking or smudging under the eyes at all. With the actual look it produces, I’m really happy with it. It grabbed all of my lashes and covered them really well. It didn’t take multiple layers, and looked great!

I liked this as a lengthening/volumising mascara, but I have used better ones before. So it's definitely not a bad product, but you can get better. It was super black which I liked and didn't go too clumpy. It also didn't flake throughout the day.

I was so blown away with this product, I have been using the Too Faced better than sex (non-waterproof) mascara, and I have heard that this L'Oreal one is considered a dupe. It gave me the exaaaact same results as I get from Too Faced, yet this one is so much more affordable! It is also slightly easier to apply, it doesn't require as much time to cover all the lashes. The thing that I enjoyed most about this product is the fact that it is much nicer to remove. I don't like using too much product or pressure on my eyes because: 1 they are sensitive and I can get eczema on my eyes from too much harsh product on my eyes, and 2 who wants to rub their eyes vigorously every night and potentially cause more fine lines around their eyes. This mascara came off so much nicer with my gentle cleanser, and didn't leave me with the dreaded panda eyes. There was no flaking, no clumping or smudging, and the dramatic effect was 100% there. Definitely buying again.

I was super excited when Beauty Review asked me to trial this mascara because mascara is one of my favourite cosmetics to use! That being said, I also have very high expectations and am very fussy when it comes mascara. I know what I like and I tend to alternate between 2 different brands which I consider my holy grails.

Let’s start with the packaging. To be honest, I thought a box inside of another form of box was a little excessive but I liked the copper/rose gold tube itself and thought it looked quite luxe.

The wand is a thick hourglass shape which I don’t normally like but this one is surprisingly easy to manoeuvre around the eye and does a great job coating every individual lash.

The first time I was used it, I was a little disappointed as I didn’t notice much difference in my lashes after one coat but 2 coats was definitely much better! However over the next couple of days as it “dried out” a little, I was pleasantly surprised by the intensity of the colour, length and volume that were added to my lashes. I still prefer 2 coats but I like my lashes to be bold and voluminous!

This mascara claims to provid intense volume and spectacular long lashes which I agree which for the most part, for me that takes two coats which isn’t too much of a hassle. My lashes look thick and luscious with no clumping which is a big tick for me. The formula also contains castor oil which is supposed to make your lashes feel feather soft without any flaking and I would also mostly agree with this. I haven’t noticed any difference in the texture of my lashes but I haven’t had any fall out when removing my makeup and the only flaking I’ve experienced is when I’ve been wearing my glasses which isn’t unusual for me as I’ve been blessed with naturally long lashes and they always rub against the lenses!

Another huge bonus for me is that this mascara DOES NOT SMUDGE on my lower lash line! Hallelujah!

All in all, I was pleasantly surprised by this mascara. Its lived up to its claims and it’s just as good as similar mascaras from “high end” brands but for a fraction of the price. I would like the formula to be a little thicker to avoid having to double coat but that’s a personal preference and I’m sure many people would be impressed with the results after one coat! A slightly slimmer wand would probably make this a ten out of ten in my book.

Definitely give this one a try if you are in the market for a new mascara that makes your lashes look bomb and reach for the heavens!

On first coat this mascara gave a nice touch of length and volume, and actually looked quite natural, no clumpy or spidery lashes. It layered quite nicely, definitely giving more volume and length after more than one coat.

The lashes are supple, even after hours of wear they don't feel solid, not feathery soft but definitely softer than they normally feel with mascara. This mascara did not transfer from my bottom lashes to my under eyes (which often happens to me). And I flaking either! I'm hoping the castor oil also has some added benefits for my lashes.

I am worried that as this dries out it will become harder to use, as usually I prefer mascaras after they've been used a bit so they're not so runny in formula but here is hoping the oil keeps it fluid enough.

I think if you're going for a natural look then one coat of this will be perfect. It builds nicely so is very versatile. Would not say it's intensely volumising but it adds some volume but with separation rather than clumping which is what I prefer.
