You NEED these in your life!

For me I think these are the BEST value for money drugstore eye-shadows currently on the market!

I have the petal pusher and comfort zone eight shadow palettes and Knock on wood, silent treatment and sweet as candy trio palettes. I wouldn't recommend the ones pictured above (that were released more recently) as I have heard they are not as good as the original color icon palettes and trios but the ones I mentioned above....GO GET THEM!

If your on a budget (and even if your not) these are great staple go to eye shadows, which have never let me down. The color payoff with all of the shades (in every palette I own) is just fantastic. The texture of these is also lovely being buttery and easy to blend. You can get so many looks from these palettes and they contain great complimentary shades. I find the wear time of these shadows is generally great too and with a primer they will not fail you.

The packaging isn't anything amazing but that's to be expected with a low end palette and to be honest I'd rather amazing shadows than a pretty box which gives poor quality results. The packaging is functional and sturdy and closes tightly (even though it looks cheap, I would still be confident to travel with any of these, as the clasp is secure and the plastic thick and strong).

The saying you get what you pay for really does not apply with these. I think everyone should at least try these out once! Highly recommended and a product I will definitely be repurchasing!

Tips: Umm yeah...Buy some NOW! I got mine from beautyjoint, which is where I would recommend you purchase them, The trios are only $3.99 and the eight shadow palettes $7.99 (prices in US dollars)

Nice formula but shades are a bit strange

Overall these palettes have great pigmentation and I love that three of them contain a variation of my fave w&w shadow brulee as a highlighter. I have Vanity (browns but way too golden for my complexion), Greed (3 lovely matte shades and 3 ghastly glittery shades of peach, black and silver) and Lust - beautiful mix of purples, pinks and black. Overall I like some of the shades but not worth re-purchasing for my tastes.

Tips: These are definitely prone to fallout so be aware!

The pros outweigh the cons

I am happy with these palettes however, I am not blown away. I expect a lot from Wet n Wild shadows. The best parts about these palettes are the price vs quality you get really good quality for a low price tag. Furthermore, these are awesome for beginners as there is a guide as to where to apply the shadow.

I have two of these 5 pan palettes in Tunnel vision - (matte white, matte black, shimmery chunky, satin grey, dark grey with glitter) & The naked truth - (matte beige, matte dark brown, shimmery glittery light grey/beige, medium chunky glitter brown)

Formulation: These palettes have a mix of matte, shimmer and glitter shades. I have a problem with the glitter shades some have very chunky glitters; when applied to the lid all you get is glitters. But on the plus side I really like the matte and the shimmer colours.

Pigmentation: There is really high pigmentation on these shadows; not as pigmented as some of their other palettes but still really good.

Lasting power: These last pretty long on my eyes without a primer however for me they do crease. But I will say a lot of shadows crease on me. With a base these shadows are dreamy and last awhile longer.

Fallout: There is some but not too much Overall I am pretty happy with these palettes I would rather them not to have the chunky glitter shades but what can you do! I will definitely purchase more in the future.

Definite recommendation!!

Tips: Use a base underneath.

With fallout you can place a tissue under your eye while doing your makeup or you can do your eyes before doing the rest of your face.

Also if you want glitter without buying glitter you can use a glitter primer/glue and apply the lighter chunky glitter shades and it looks like you used the softest not so boom in your face glitters.

Price & Quality!

Really lovely colours in these palettes and I think it's so thoughtful that the colours in the palettes are colours that compliment each other! It's so easy to use one palette for any time of day or year or for various events just by changing the colours you use!

The only negative I've found is that the pigment isn't that strong unless I have an eyelid primer underneath, which is a regular for me, so I wasn't surprised.. Also, I always use these palettes before I apply my foundation or I put a tissue over my cheeks first otherwise I get quite bad fallout while applying!

Tips: Apply before foundation, or use something to protect yourself from fallout! :)

Angels in aubergine

I have the one of these called angels in aubergine. I have had other wet n wild palettes which I love and this one did not let me down. The 'definer' aubergine color is absolutely gorgeous, similar to the lorac aubergine but slightly lighter and warmer toned. The 'browbone' pink is also a gorgeous, soft color which I really like. Aside from these two, there's a grey, a black and a white. These three I'm not so excited about since I've plenty of black and white eyeshadows already. The pigmentation is great for its price and it's very easy to pack on color. It feels a little powdery but still reasonable for its price. The color combination of the five can easily create a smokey cat eye or more colorful variations. I really like this mini palette because it's quite multi purpose and I've used it for numerous occasions. Definitely recommend!

I was wowed

I bought the "I'm His Breezy Desinvolture" palette for around $4 from the Farmers red dot sale. I don't have any blues in my collection so I really wanted to give this a go.

I tried a finger swatch first. Oh. My. God. No freaking way it was so pigmented! The colours weren't even patchy. This got me so excited to try it "for real".

I got my brush and picked up some pigment. It seems really powdery on the brush so you need to tap it on the container to remove the excess product. And it's a lot of product so I feel like I could go through this quite quickly as far as shadows go.

It showed up really nicely on my eyelids and I didn't get any fallout (this is why I tap the excess product off my brush, though). It stayed on all day with an eyeshadow primer.

TL;DR:

I really like this product. It is super easy to apply and lasts all day. If I had to pay $20 for it, I would not be too happy with the amount of product that gets kicked around when you put it on your brush but for $4 I expected it to be a lot worse. I would happily pay $10 for this palette but I'm pretty sure Farmers have it for $7 at full price. I told my friend about it and she purchased a nude palette from them.

Tips: TAP OFF THE EXCESS!!! I would hate to think what happens if you don't, the fallout would be too real, I think

Bare and Beautiful

Brought the Bare and Beautiful palette, loved it, really easy to use for a beginner, the colors were very natural and beautiful, love the sparkly eyelid color, the applicators are fine but worked better with my own brushes, pigmentation was great, formula is great. Overall loved it and will continue to use it.

Tips: Apply with your own brushes.

I’m sold

I just bought one of these 4 day ago, I wonder if they’ve change the design...mine has 4 shades in the palette rather than 5. The one I chose was Sweet as Candy - two shades of brown, a creamy colour and a pale pink. I’m a recent Wet n Wild convert so thought I’d give the eye shadow a go as it wasn’t too glittery, I can’t wear glittery anymore at my age! The brown shades are more pigmented than they look, so a little goes a long way. The cream and pink are great, a nice shade of pink which didn’t make me look like I had conjunctivitis! They lasted well, didn’t crease, and came off easily with a Micellar cleanser. Definitely a keeper.

Tips: Go easy on application, it may more darker than you were expecting.

So easy!

I really like this wee palette. It is so easy to use and I like how it says on each part saying where it should go or what it's purpose is. I have the 'Bare and Beautiful' which is really natural with different shades of brown. I use it during the day and at for nighttime. It looks really natural on and just enhances your features. I would definitely consider buying this in another colour palette. The wee brushes included are obviously pretty average as they usually are so I would suggest using your own makeup brushes.

Pinks and purples

Not sure if they've changed their design but I purchased a few of the Colour icon quads with my absolute fav being 'Petalette'. Beautiful shades of pink and purple that rival some of my high-end shadows. These small palettes are almost fail safe as you know exactly what goes where. I believe I paid $6.99 at Farmers.
