Best brows ever!

I was very, very lucky to receive this in the last BR vault- thanks so much BR. I'm still a novice when it comes to brows, I always look at friends, bloggers and you tubers with envy. They have the best, most gorgeous eyebrows and then there is me with unshaped brows, ok they are groomed but shapely nope that is what they are not. So I thought this would be perfect to experiment with.

The packaging is cute it's like a cardboard palette with a magnet that closes it shut I also love that it's black, who doesn't love black? I open it up and see a decent sized mirror on the top half and then the shades, oh those pretty shades, there is two lighter shades blonde and light brown, these are very light then there is the sculpting wax then taupe and raven. Taupe is like a brown and raven is a very dark brown/black. I've been using taupe which is the perfect shade for me it's almost like the shade from the BDB universal pencil we received in a beauty box. It also has a small applicator with a spoolie at one end and an angled brush at the other end.

I start off with the spoolie and shape my brows as best I can and tame any wayward hairs. I then dip the angled brush into the wax and sculpt them, this is awesome because the wax isn't greasy or oily and the hairs stay in place. I then go lightly into 'Taupe' and start filling in the sparse areas on my brows. Two things with the powder is, it looks so dry and almost chalky in the pan but when you actually apply it, it's quite creamy and holy moly it's pigmented! It really wasn't wasn't what I was expecting but I am truly in love with it.

I have even been a bit more bold and gone for a bolder brow look, which yes it looked amazing but I don't feel overly confident going to town with it on, but hey gotta start sometime right?

Overall this has to be hands down the best brow product I have used and it only takes me a few minutes to create nice looking brows. Would I repurchase? Yip in a heartbeat, it's totally worth every penny.

Billion Dollar Brows Mad About Brows

I was so lucky to secure this baby in the vault, luckiest day of my life!

I really was a bit of a brow novice and never tried too many things with them until i got this kit.

It comes in a nice looking pallette with a cover that slids off [I have discarded this]. You open this up and you are greeted by three generous rounds of colour and wax. There is a double ended brush, one end has a spoolie and the other end has an angled brush. I use the brush for the wax and another brush for applying the colour.

In the first round is two colours. Blonde and light brown. Next is a round of sculpting wax and next is the darker shades of the pallette being taupe and raven.

I use everything in this pallette except raven. I start with the sculpting wax to shape my brows and then run the brush over the two lighter colours for my base colour, then finish with the taupe. This gives my brows depth and definition that they never had before.

I do love this pallette and I send my thanks and grattitude to BR for this amazing chance to try this.

I would go so far as to say this is my Holy Grail brow kit.

A Brow look for Everyone

When I saw this in the land in the vault I was keen to give this a try. After falling in love with their pencil had to give this a try. I was fortunate enough to get this in the vault. I'm very grateful for this opportunity. Thank you BR.

When this arrived to me the packaging on this is made of a study matte black cardboard holder. Finer than any other cardboard palletes I've used. Engraved on it is the billion dollar labelling in gold. It's striking and eye catching a joy to look at amongst my products. Within this casing this brow pallete slides out. In it is brow powders that cater to any eye brow colour. Ranging from a light shade through to the darkest shade called raven. The consistency of these brow shadows is soft smooth incredibly easy to manoeuvre with minimal fall out. Each brow colour is named making it easy to differenciate between tones. Each shade is split in half with a contrasting shade . Central to this pallette is a brow wax. Its white in colour non tacky smooth and creamy consistency. Theres no scent at all with these shades or shimmers their all mattes. Inside is a double ended brush one thats slightly slanted and the other being a spoolie.

When I apply this I like to go over my brows with a spoolie beforehand. After that I take the brush end and sweep my brush into wax. I find this wax easy to brush through my brows. For bold brows I choose Raven being the darkest colour in this pallette. For natural looking brows I choose Taupe. These shades give me a long lasting look for a total of 8 hours without fade. The longest out of any brow products I've ever used.

After giving this a try for several times the consistency of this product is undeniably good. Price wise it is high. This pallette can be used for any brow colors in a natural hair colour range. Its versatility and durability has surprised me. If I had the money to repurchase I definately would buy this.

Billion Dollar Brows Baby!

I never thought I could love a brow powder, until I got my hands on this little beauty. I managed to snag this in the vault, I'd had my eye on it for a while as I'm constantly changing my hair colour and thought it would be a handy product to have in my arsenal, so I was super lucky to get this.

Packaging: Love this packaging! The palette is sleek and compact, making it great for travel. There's no extra bulk, no unnecessary frills - you get a decent sized mirror that's excellent quality, there's a good amount of space between the pans, the shades are labelled (thank you BDB!), there's a slot for the brush and the magnetic closure is strong. The cardboard is hefty, nice and thick and covered with a material that's easily cleaned. A lot of companies could take note from this packaging!

Scent: Very faint cosmetic scent but it's only noticeable if you stick your nose right up to the product.

Shades: Blonde - this is an interesting shade, it's on the cooler end of the spectrum but I feel like it has almost a hint of purple to it and just a touch of warmth. Light Brown - this is a light/medium warm toned brown with a touch of red in it. Taupe - this is the most universal of the four shades, it's a medium cool toned brown with a slight ashy-ness to it. Raven - this is, in my opinion the only let down of the palette. It's a true cool toned black. I think this shade would have been better replaced with a deep cool brown.

Product: I'll start with the wax since that's the first thing you use from the palette. It's very smooth, lightly tacky but not sticky. It doesn't feel greasy or wet and it's quite stiff in the pan. It's absolutely clear and it just melts into the skin/hairs perfectly. The powders are just as great quality. They aren't your typical coloured powder formula, they are definitely not comparable to eyeshadows. In the pan they are very stiff, there is little to no product kick up, they're not dusty in the slightest and they're incredibly smooth. I think it's for this reason that they're so good, the pigmentation is high and application is great since they're so smooth, whereas using eyeshadows for your brows can be a little difficult since the formula is often very soft, creamy and can give off a lot of dust/product kick up. On my brows this lasts all day, 6+ hours and there is no fading or smudging or melting. They stay just as crisp as when I first apply them. The double ended brush that this comes with is actually good too, the angled brush is too large for my liking to use with powder but it's great to apply the wax and the spooli is a good size to comb through the brows.

Overall: I really love this product and I can't wait to try out the Blonde shade when I return to platinum hair. The quality of this is truly exceptional and I recommend it to anyone who, like me, changes hair colour often or to makeup artists looking for a good brow palette.

Fantastic Brow Palette!

I managed to get my little paws on this in the last BR Beauty Vault. I had used the BDB Universal brow pencil that I got in a BR Beauty Box and enjoyed using that. I had never used a brow palette before but was interested in the inclusion of the wax. The packaging is very nice and looks good. When you open the palette there is a brush included, which is actually good and worth using, and the product. The mirror is a decent size to be included in the packaging but I still use the big mirror in the bathroom. I could use the little one in the palette but I'm not sure it would be the easiest. I use the spooley brush to shape and brush my brows first and then I apply a little bit of wax to each brow to hold them in shape. I have been using the two middle toned colours by mixing them and they suit my natural brow colour well. I love the brush and find I get much better, even results than using a brow pencil. Of course with a brush its much easier to blend and even out but the results are great. I would probably have been hesitant to spend $60 on an eyebrow palette but my brows are such a central part of my whole makeup look that they are one of the basic, minimal makeup things I will do and I get such good results from this palette that I really do think it's worth it. I can see it will also me quite a while so the price would not deter me in future at all. I'm a brow palette convert!

Top Quality - Worth It!

Having used and loved the Billion Dollar Brows universal brow pencil, I was very eager to acquire this product from the vault as soon as I spotted it in there. Acquire this from the vault I did, and was most thankful to have done so.

First of all the packaging is stunning, it certainly looks like a top quality, high-end product. It’s a very durable cardboard material, black with metallic print. The mini- palette is firmly sealed closed by a magnet on the inside, that combined with the hard-cover, the powders are well protected inside and I imagine they would remain in-tact if it was accidently dropped.

The mirror inside is excellent quality and a good size, large enough to use to do your brows. There’s also a small firm brush inside with a slanted tip which I find is ideal for doing the job. It has a spoolie at the other end, and there’s a little ribbon you pull gently to lift the brush out.

The powders are well pigmented, they look and feel high quality and apply super smoothly with the brush included in the kit. I find it very quick and easy to get my brows done good with this kit, alternating between using the wax and powders upon application. The wax could be a little softer, the brush picks up a very small amount at a time which is why I alternate between using it with the powder when applying, however I’m very happy with the finished result.

I absolutely love everything about this eyebrow kit! It’s a fair bit more costly than what I would usually pay for this type of product, however in this case I feel that it’s worth it.

Tips: The four tones are blonde, light brown, taupe and raven. The fact that there’s four brow powder tones/colors.. I can imagine some thinking ‘but what do I do with the colors that don’t match my brows?’ Well of course there’s going to be 1 or 2 tones that are a match for your natural brow color, and the others are not, but they can all be used in one way or another.

In my case, my brows are charcoal, and I’ve used all of the colors. The taupe is the best match for me, but I can get away with the light brown, and a light dusting of raven for super bold brows. The blonde is too light for my brows, but I can use it as a light dusting just under my brows along the bottom edges of them to make the brow bones stand out more, as some do with a highlighter or light colored eye-shadow. Another way to use all the colors is to try an ombre effect, use as eyeshadow, or to line along your bottom lashes.
