I'm not a big fan. I gave it a fair go, purchased 2 tubes of it and saw absolutely no change at all (thought it may take a while to see a difference because of all the coffee I drink) . But nothing. I did like how amazingly smooth my teeth felt and how the taste of the tooth paste wasn't too strong and over powering but I get that from my normal paste any way. I wouldn't waste my time or money on buying it again.
In theory this sounds good. 3 shades whiter teeth? Yes please!
I love the metallic red tube this comes in it looks pretty and makes me want to use it. I love the real minty flavour of this it's quite strong and reminds me of the imperial mints. It leaves my teeth feeling very clean for hours afterwards better than any other toothpaste I have used. But I will unfortunately never use it again. It has left my teeth and gums so sensitive nearly every tooth has been aching and my gums have felt like they are burning. It's really thrown me because I hardly ever get sensitive teeth generally only if I eat ice cream too fast. I think it could be the hydrogen peroxide that's causing the sensitivity because I have never experienced this before with normal toothpaste. Never ever again! I will leave the whitening to the dentist.
I used up 2 whole tubes of this toothpaste in the desperate hope that it would whiten without the hassle of having to use separate whitening products, unfortunately I saw no difference whatsoever than using my standard $3 tube.
This has quite a strong, clinical taste to it which I started to associate with clean teeth, I guess that's the taste of the hydrogen peroxide (the supposed whitenener). It's weird but I kinda miss that strong taste, cheaper toothpaste doesn't taste as 'clean'.
Other than that, I don't miss this toothpaste. I think you should save your pennies and spend them on an actual proven whitening product such as Crest Whitening Strips etc.
I am always on the hunt for products that will whiten my teeth without damaging them and I had high hopes for this product as it was Colgate- a brand I trust. I used two tubes of the Colgate Optic White toothpaste (plus the whitening pen) and saw only a very very minor difference in the whiteness. It was actually so minor that sometimes I think that maybe I even imagined that I saw a difference. I used this toothpaste twice a day and did not get any sensitivity after using this product which is something I am always wary of when using whitening products.
Overall I do not think it is worth the money and I prefer other toothpastes.
has a funny taste, used for a week and had no results, size of tube is small for the price, wont be using it again
This product was a bit disappointing.
Packaging wise, love the bright red colours and the result photos is what really sold me. In terms of doing what it says it does, I went through the whole tube and there was no difference to my teeth. Considering it was quite expensive and did not produce the promised results I Definately do not recommend buying or using this product
I got this for a bargain price from my local discount store - the full retail price is more than I would usually pay for toothpaste. I like the packaging which is metallic red and I particularly like the large flip top lid. This makes it easy to open and stand up but it was quite hard to get the last of the paste out. It is a plain white paste with a very strong mint flavour which reminds me of Listerine. This leaves me with a real fresh taste in my mouth and it also leaves my teeth feeling really clean and smooth. However...
Do not use this if you have any sensitivity at all! This almost made me cry when used on a sensitive tooth, it was that bad! I did find if I brushed my sensitive tooth last, when there was less paste on the brush that it wasn't as bad. When I mentioned this to my dentist, she said whitening pastes do tend to do this, and that they don't really work as far as whitening goes. I didn't see any change in the whiteness of my teeth but I wasn't able to use this regularly enough to tell.
I wouldn't use this again because of the sensitivity issue. I've since found a natural toothpaste that I'm enjoying using a lot more.
Quite disappointed with this product as I did not see any noticeable difference in general colour and the flavour was unpleasantly bitter, I would note that as a non smoker I have not had problems with stained teeth so was just looking for that extra degree of whiteness, Maybe if I used it constantly for many weeks there may be a difference but the taste put me off. Paste for sensitivity issues won out over vanity whiteness
I'm not convinced that this product did what it promised. Maybe I should have taken before and after photos but I certainly didn't have anybody comment to me! It wasn't the most pleasant toothpaste either, with a very dry texture. I didn't make my mouth feel fresh and clean.
