Super hydrating - a winter essential

This is an absolute winter essential for me. My skin can get extremely dry around my nose and on my cheeks, and this is the product that fixes it.

I use this after my usual moisturiser and serum, and will either apply it all over my face, or just around particularly dry areas. It sinks in pretty quickly despite the thicker texture and leaves my skin lovely and soft.

If you are not a fan of overnight masks just apply a thinner layer and allow it to sink in before bed. Worth trying if you struggle with dry winter skin!

Tips: The regular moisturiser from the Moisture Surge range is just as good and is a lovely light gel cream so not as heavy feeling.

Five star mask!

I had never used an overnight mask until I tried this little gem from Clinique. I'm a huge fan of Clinique, so I was hoping for great things.

As with all iconic Clinique products, this is stylish and glamourous packaging for this mask. I love the look of Clinique, so high end and luxurious. It comes in a largish, pinkish tube, which is convenient and looks nice on my dresser top.

The formula is like a night cream, and it can easily can be smoothed over your face. It feels exactly like moisturiser and dries quickly. I use this mask after my cleansing routine and instead of my usual night cream. My skin feels instantly moisturised.

My skin can get quite dry in some places, especially in the winter. So, this is a great addition to my skincare routine.

After using this I wake up and my skin feels so hydrated and refreshed. It seems to even out my skin tone and give much needed moisture. My skin felt super soft and silky!

With an overnight mask I expected it to feel heavy and a little bit strange. But, this just felt like regular night cream, except giving me better results.

I'm really glad I tried this, and it is now a must in my skincare routine and will be using this a couple of times a week.

Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a hydrating mask for dry skin.

Overnight wonder mask

I received this in a gift pack (along with some other goodies that I've reviewed) and this was probably the best thing I got!

I have wicked dry skin, so I was chomping at the bit to try this.

I cleansed my face, used the Step 2 toner (yes, I use a toner!), and didn't moisturise, I just put this straight on.

The texture is quite thick, and my skin normally breaks out if the moisturiser is really thick, but it didn't with this and I was pleasantly surprised.

It doesn't have a strong fragrance at all, and when you rub it in to your skin, it just melts.

It leaves your skin feeling super supple, revived and very well hydrated.

I woke up the next morning and I didn't have to moisturise at all! I was amazed!!!

So I use this up to twice a week as part of my skincare routine now.

Silky Soft Skin

Moisture Surge Overnight Mask is a dream come true for anyone who wants gorgeous, soft skin. I tend to have dry skin and have been using this mask at least 3 times a week over winter and am thrilled with the results.

The packaging is instantly recognisable as Clinique with their trademark, simple text and clean lines. It is a pale pink colour and fits in well with their Moisture Surge line.

The mask has no discernible smell and is a white, creamy potion of goodness. I prefer to use this after using Clinique cleanser and toner- I have tried it after using Clinique moisturiser but it felt too heavy on my skin.

The mask is quickly absorbed so I can go to bed without feeling like I am slipping and sliding all over the pillow.

The magic must happen overnight, as I always wake up with baby soft skin- so much so that I just need to refresh with toner, add some bronzer and mascara and am ready to face the day.

While this product is pricey, my tube has taken me all through winter and I still have at least half left. I truly believe it is worth the money when the reward is gorgeous, glowing skin that I am proud to show off.

Tips: A little goes a long way, so no need to slather it on generously

A nourishing skin drink

I loved this mask. I was initially worried about going to bed with a mask on, up I am glad I tried it! I used after exfoliating and toning my skin, and applied a thin layer. This product is silky and thick and spreads well so a little went a long way! It wa easily absorbed and I initially thought it was just another moisturiser, but after sleeping found my skin plumped up and supple. Would definitely try again as although this is a pricey item, the fact that is spreads so far means it is good value for money

My Poor Wallet!

I was lucky enough to get this as a bundle of Clinique products when ordering my favourite moisturiser from Nordstrom. Prior to getting it as part of a pack, I had never used (or heard) of this, so I wasn't sure what to expect.

My skin is dry so I was excited to give this a go to see if it helped at all. The idea of wearing a mask to bed weirded me out a little but after applying it I promptly forgot about it and was rewarded with plump, hydrated skin in the morning.

I use this whenever my skin is feeling particularly dry or if I have exfoliated that night. When used, this is the last stage in my skincare routine and I use it in place of moisturiser. The product is a white cream that feels absolutely luxurious on your skin. It blends in without needing to rub your face very much and doesn't feel heavy or uncomfortable on your skin.

In the mornings when I have used this, my skin looks and feels hydrated. It is like my skin has had an injection of youth in it while I slept and my skin feels super plump, hydrated and smooth - no dryness to be seen!

As you only need a small amount of this to cover your entire face (about the size of your pinky nail), this will last a long time. As I don't use it every night (maybe once a week), my tube is still really, really full - despite having this before Xmas.

Yes this is pricey... but if your skin is super dry and you haven't found anything that works for you, I highly recommend this. When my current tube is out I will definitely repurchase it - even though the price makes me want to gag haha.

So moisturising

I purchased this when they were doing the Clinique Bonus which is a great Gift with Purchase. I use this when my skin is dehydrated so it's great this winter.

This mask can either be washed off or left overnight. I like to leave this overnight and I wake up with super soft, hydrated skin.

I love this and it is in winter beauty essentials. The price is a bit steep but Clinique's Moisture Surge range is amazing.

You have to get it- even if it is pricey

If you have combination skin or dry skin, this is the one for you. I get very dry cheeks and around my nose and this is one of the best masks for it. It is unbelievably moisturising while not being heavy on the skin. You can use this during the day or overnight, you will notice a huge difference in the way your skin feels.

Clinique Moisture Surge Overnight Mask

I got a sample size of this, and i love it! I have relatively dry skin and this makes my skin feel so hydrated and it doesnt feel heavy on the skin at all. However I wish it was a bit more affordable.

Clinique Moisture, Surging Boost Overnight Mask

I got a small sample sized tube of this. I have been into masks a lot lately. I have tried a handful of overnight masks and I love the idea of treating your skin overnight and waking up to nice smooth, hydrated and plumped out skin. The sample size comes in a small tube with silver top. It was pricey for the size but I wanted to try it anyways. Overnight masks feel like a night cream in texture but are supposed to work double duty on your skin while you get your beauty sleep. This one was slightly thicker in texture compared to my two other Asian overnight masks. But it didn't take long to absorb, although it did feel a tiny bit heavier than my Asian overnight masks, it was very light compared to my Origins Drink It Up Overnight Intensive Mask. The mask doesn't have a much of a scent but it does smell pleasant and gentle. The counter assistant told me to try using this twice a week or every other night. I use sleeping masks most nights so that's what I did. I only need a tiny bit as this spreads on nicely. The ingredients are water, glycerin, cetyl alcohol, dimethicone, glyceryl polymethacrylate, shea butter, cetyl ethylhexanoate, PEG-8, glycereth-26, sucrose, sorbitan stearate, PEG-100 stearate, trehalose, mango seed butter, hypnea musciformis (algae) extract, gellidiela acerosa (algae) extract, olive extract, wheat bran extract, cladosiphon okamuranus extract, astrocaryum murumuru Seed Butter, cetearyl alcohol, aloe vera leaf water, PEG-75, caffeine, pantethine, sorbitol, butylene glycol, oryzanol, bisabolol, panthenol, phytosterols, tocopheryl acetate, caprylyl glycol, sodium hyaluronate, hexylene glycol, carbomer, potassium hydroxide, dextrin, disodium EDTA, phenoxyethanol, CI 14700 and CI 19140. So although it claims to be oil-free there are butters and other oily things in there. That being said I don't know many of the ingredients in my Asian overnight masks so I can't really point my finger at the Clinique one. When I use this my skin is hydrated and plumped out the next day. However, I haven't seen this out perform my cheaper Asian sleeping masks. So I'm a bit on the fence as whether to shell out top dollar for a fullsized one or just go for something cheaper. But I will enjoy using this sample tube up.

Tips: You can use this every night in place of a night cream if you're into sleeping masks. Every once in a while Clinique do a nice GWP when you purchase two products. You can get a bit more bang for your buck if you purchase this when there's a GWP.
