Sucking paw paw ointment

Firstly thanks beauty review for choosing me as one of the lucky candidates to trial this product. It is a gorgeous looking tube with beautiful peach colour packaging ( very appealing ) also a perfect size for the handbag or glovebox of car. I love the fact that this product doesn't contain petroleum like other paw paw ointment does. I am very health conscious so a huge tick from me there. It's also got No sulphates, No synthetic fragrances, No animal derivatives, No harsh detergents, No propylene glycol, No artificial colours, No triethanolamine, No mineral oils, No EDTA and no parabens. So it's all natural yay!

I tried this on a cut on my nose but didn't have any effect at all but to be fair I went to the doctor and it required an antibiotic ointment. This felt amazing on my lips though, it aslo felt good that I wasn't putting anything toxic on my lips . Will be my best friend if I happen to get dry cracked lips from a cold or flu and the elements outside. I think it's a reasonable price for the tube size but my only concern is the fact that it's so hard to squeeze the product out of the tube. Maybe the contents is a little thick or the hole is too small. Over all I like this product.

Sukin paw paw ointment is mean to be the heading. Thanks to auto correct for changing this.

A Lovely, Multi-Purpose Product

I've use paw paw ointment products in the past and have always found them to work wonders for a whole range of problems! I was super excited to try the Sukin Paw Paw Ointment to see how it compared.

Super cute packaging to start off with — love the adorable pink design! I found the packaging to also be very practical, and it was easy to disperse the perfect amount of product every time. When it's cold the product can be a little more stubborn coming out of the tube, however. No biggie though.

The ointment itself is very similar to other ointments on the market — thick, slightly clear. Has a subtle but not unpleasant scent. It smooths onto the skin easily and is absorbed rapidly by dry skin.

I really wanted to test this product out on things like insect bites, chafing, etc, but I didn't experience anything along those lines while trialling this product! Instead I used it mainly on my lips and my dry elbows, and it seemed to work really well in those areas, instantly nourishing the skin and helping it stay nourished throughout the day.

Would recommend as a cute wee handbag item for unexpected dry lips, skin, bites, chafing, etc. Super handy and lovely to use!

Sukin Paw Paw Ointment

Packaging is aesthetically appealing, great size for handbag or toiletry bag. Easy screw cap and feels secure enough to chuck into your bag and not worry about it.

Loving that it is sulphate and paraben free! I am a huge paw paw ointment user on my dry lips and it feels reassuring knowing this product is safe to use.

The ointment itself though is very thick, and in the cooler weather really hard to get out of the tube. So for me wanting to use it regularly on my lips it is less appealing. It also has a displeasing taste.

However, I can see it's merit for abrasions, insect bites et al. I did not get to put this product to the test as had none during the trial period but I am hopeful it would be soothing.

I did trial it on elbows, knees and feet and it certainly did soften and moisturise this area, although it felt quite thick and required some rubbing in. But worth the perseverance if these were a trouble area!

Overall a great product for use as a barrier cream or moisturising problem areas, but it just didn't satisfy my main use of paw paw ointments for dry lips being so thick and with an odd after taste.

Price point seems comparable to other brands found in supermarkets.

Tips: Perhaps try to keep in as warm a location as possible for more easy removal from tube and application.

Sukin Paw Paw Ointment

Having used the Lucas Paw Paw Ointment for many years I was really interested in trying the new face on the block. I use Paw Paw Ointment for dry lips, eczema and all things dry on my body, I am known to have a tube or two in my handbag.

The packaging of Sukin Paw Paw Ointment is really cute, I was really impressed with the pinky/peach tube. It was great that the product is sulphate and paraben free as well. I first opened the tube on a cold morning and found it nearly impossible to push any product out at all. I found this to be a real negative to be honest and put me off the product quite early on.

Once I finally managed to get some product out I found it had a subtle but not unpleasant scent. It smooths onto the skin reletivaely easily and is absorbed quite quickly into skin that is dry.

Overall the product certainly does what it claims but I found it to be no different to the Lucas Paw Paw (though I will say Sukin does have cuter packaging!).

I would only buy again if it was the cheaper of the two options.

Hydrating, smooth and natural

I got my hands on the Sukin paw paw ointment from my local health shop for $9.99. I use this mainly to hydrate my lips, elbows and for grazes and abrasions for my daughter.

It is different to paw paw ointments I have previously used. It is thicker in texture which means it is great at hydration, and has a slight scent that I can't quite place, almost waxy. It is a very light scent though. It is very smooth when it melts on your skin/lips and stays there for a good while.

The price point is fair I think for the amount of product you get, and being that it is sulphate and paraben free is also a bonus.

I really like the packaging it is an apricot orange colour which is easy to find in my handbag or at home in the medical cabinet. It has a black screw top and squeeze tube which makes it easy to travel with and get the perfect amount of product out.

Cute and helpful.

I got this Paw Paw ointment as part of the Nudes 2 box. I love the little tube it comes in - smooth, peach and a great size to keep in your purse. Getting the ointment out of the tube was a bit of a struggle though, as it is quite thick. I found that I had more luck squeezing the spout end of the tube, whereas if I squeeze the middle of the tube the ointment doesn't budge. However, the ointment being thick is also a good thing: once warmed it thins out so a little goes a long way, meaning there's more product to be used.

I've mostly been using the ointment on my lips and on dried/cracked spots on my hands. I have dermatitis so my hands can get quite sore and/or itchy, especially during winter. I'm happy to say that this paw paw ointment created a nice protective layer over the sores, hydrated my skin and helped with healing. The product doesn't have any smell and taste, which I think makes it more gentle on cuts etc than other moisturisers.

Overall very happy that I have this.

Great for dry lips

Provides a really good, long lasting barrier form wind and air conditioning. Have also used it on my daughters face to protect from cold wind at school and on my sons chafing after playing rugby in the rain.

Tips: Can be hard to squeeze out of the tube when cold so warm it up in your hands first.

Fruity

Very fruity. Just be careful when squeezing the tube. You only need a small amount and if your not careful you end up with a big blob of it. Works wonderfully on most things.

I like it, but I'm not in Love with it

I was really excited to try this product for a few reasons. One, I always borrowed paw paw off my friends and in small doses I really liked the effects. Two, this product has no baddies and is filled with great natural ingredients. Three, I had been sick for a few weeks and my lips were in dire need of hydration and care and I was excited to see how this paw paw could benefit me.

The packaging is simple but cute. The colour is a vibrant coral peach, a great colour that stands out amongst the troves of things in my handbag - so it's easy to identify and whip out. It says on it that it has no bad things, further promoting that image of a natural product. It also says that it can combat dryness etc, so decided I would not only use this on my lips but my hands as well.

I must say it is very hard to squeeze out of the container, as I mentioned before I would usually just use my friends one - so maybe she had warmed it with her hand? When I finally squeezed some out I noticed it smelt faintly like soap, it wasn't overly like papaya but more like vaseline. The consistency is similar to other paw paw products I have tried. It instantly provided hydrated and moisture to my sore and dry lips. It also had a nice shine to it, making my lips look great! The effects of using this product over the last week have been very positive but not life changing. It did help my lips recover, and I had to use it less frequently than I would other lip balms. On my hands it felt a little greasy until it settled into my skin, but then made my hands soft and a little shiny.

Overall I liked this product, and would potentially purchase again, but I wasn't so blown away that I feel as though I need to tell everyone about it.

Tips: Warm the tube with your hands as it is very hard to squeeze out otherwise.

He Said She Said

I was excited to try this for both my husband and I. He suffers from terrible itchy red fingers. He tried it twice but unfortunately it felt worse and he wasn't prepared to persevere. My problem was really dry cracked heels. Ok miniature elephant feet! They had got worse of late as I love to walk barefoot everywhere. Huge cracks and very sore to walk on. After only TWO nights the pain had gone and the cracks were shrinking quite rapidly. Visible results every morning when I woke up. I am excited to use this as a multi-purpose cream and think it will get a lot of use.

Tips: Great compact tube to carry around in handbag to use on the run.
