Hello Moisture in a mask

I decided to try this once my daughter went to sleep ad I had time to myself for a pamper. I cleansed my face and then went to use the mask, I was abit confused about the process so had to read the instructions on how to get it to work.

You have to fold the packaging into thirds and then push the liquid/gel into the dry sheet mask, and then squash around to ensure the mask is fully covered in the solution before opening the packaging.

Once you take the wet mask out you have to be really careful not to rip it. I put it on and made sure there was no air bubbles. Left it on for 20 minutes as I actually forgot I had it on and once I took it off I massaged any left over gel from the mask into my face. I wasn’t sure if I needed to wash the residue off or leave it as my face was abit sticky from the gel, I left it on my face as it was night time and thought it wouldn’t do me any hard to get extra moisture. This might be a problem if you do the mask during the day.

The next day my face felt really smooth and after my shower I didn’t have the “my face is going to crack” feeling. A few days after the mask I did get a few new pimples so I’m not sure if it’s from the heat or from the mask.

Tips: You end up with quite abit of serum left over in the packaging so you can scoop it up and use on your face after your shower for a few days after

leaves skin feeling great

this was the first time I have used a mask of this type , the instructions were clear but it took me a couple trys to be able to do it , I found it left my skin feeling beautiful which is great but I think it could've just been alot more simple to get it on my face. I've never used anything where you have to do more then just open it and put it on , instead of folding the packet etc id definitely try it again but it's not something I'd use all the time

so soft!

i have previously reviewed the orange colored mask (vit c?) and found it to be gimmicky so i'm not surprised i felt the same towards this one. however, its a sheet mask and i love me a sheet mask.

after the tedious task of mixing the serum onto the mask and letting it soak in i slapped that bad boy on my face. heaven. its the ultimate relaxation time that's just for me, and the man knows not to disturb me when i've got ghost face on.

i thought the mask was a decent size for my face, it at least fit better than half of the asian ones i get, so that was nice. i was also pleased it wasn't as drippy as i thought it would be, but there was a lot of serum left over and it was pretty much wasted.

once off my face i did my small routine and left it, only remembering hours later as i stroked my face that i had used this mask. baby soft. smooth. the next day my face was just as smooth and to the mans happiness, "less oily" (he dislikes my potions).

it was a pleasant mask to use and i'm not opposed to using it again! in fact, i have a few in the fridge ;-)

Garnier Fresh Mix Tissue Mask Hyaluronic Acid

Having previously tried Garnier’s fresh vitamin c face mask, i knew exactly what i was doing this time, although i still haven’t quite mastered the art of unfolding.

This one comes in an attractive blue packaging. I love the idea of freshly mixing your own sheet mask. Although it can be a little messy when excess sera comes flowing out of the teared packet, i was excited to give this another go.

I like the quality and comfort of the sheet mask, as it was easy to apply and adjust onto my small face, without the problem of stretching nor ripping. It was a perfect fit for me.

After removal of the mask, i patted in the excess serum. I put on a little too much extra serum, so It did feel sticky, which was quite uncomfortable at first, but it feels better as it absorbs. It kept my face moist and hydrated through the night.

The next day my face felt supple, plump, and hydrated. I guess that sticky discomfort was worth the wait.

Tips: To prevent wasting a few good extra ml’s of serum, you could pour the excess into a sterile container for the next day’s use, which could even be used to make another mask if you have a spare sheet.

Okay, not amazing

I'm a recent convert to sheet masks, having found them very claustrophobic for years. These days, they're my go to for a bit of relaxation, especially in a hotel when I'm away for work.

The Garnier ones, I hate to say, are not my fave. I really only tried them as I got them half price in the supermarket at one stage, This one has Hyaluronic acid, which should have been a red flag for me as I'm not much of an acid-on-face person.

Not a fan of the process (seems harder than normal!), scent (i prefer a distinctive calming scent or a refreshing citrus etc) or the result - not particularly impressive, but not terrible.

I'd use one again in a pinch, on special, but there are better ones in the same price bracket imo.

Meh...gimmicky!

So I'd assumed this would be more of a cream or gel than a physical mask. It then took me a wee while to work out how to actually work the packaging to push the liquid up into the mask itself to saturate it. After some squeezing it seemed to come together.

The mask was a paper mask saturated in the liquid - different! I have a small face and whilst it was long, it was not wide and could have done with being about 2 inches wider. I sat for the allocated 15 minutes and it didn't dry through the process. It felt very cool - no burning or noticeable smells.

After taking the mask off I rubbed in the residue (as instructed) but about an hour later it just felt sticky so I rinsed my face. My face did look all fresh and definitely plumper afterwards so a win there.

The next morning I was back to normal. So in summary my view is a lot of effort faffing on with packaging and applying a paper mask with no differentiating effects.

Tips: Keep squeezing the packing even if you think you'll burst it. It will eventually work.

Garnier Fresh Mix Tissue mask

After reading the reviews, I was keen to try this product and see if it was better than the Hydrabomb version. Everyone knows the concept, fold, snap and saturate, so I won't go into that too much. What I will say is that I was quite disappointed! The product didn't really saturate the tissue that well, despite me giving it a good shake and squeeze. The tissue was a nice shape, and the serum i side is lovely. It was just the delivery system which I felt, let the whole thing down. My skin did feel nicely moisturised and a bit "boosted", and looked plumped up the next day, but most of the product was left in the pack. I prefer the Hydrabomb version, so will use that one instead.

Tips: I put the leftover serum in a container to use up.

Garnier Fresh Tissue Mask Hyaluronic shot

I got to trial this for Beauty Review so last night, I decided to try it. The packaging is a shiny plastic sachet with blue and white colours which to me, looks refreshing. On the front is a see through bottle of serum where you can see the shot of Hyaluronic Acid. You can also see the tissue mask. It says on the front of the packaging, PLUMPS & SMOOTHES SKIN 1 SHOT = 1 BOTTLE OF SERUM 15min. Suitable for sensitive skin and it's Dermatologically tested. The instructions on the reverse side of the sachet are easy to read. I followed the steps and folded the sachet into three, pushed the liquid until the seal broke and pushed it into the tissue area. I then opened the sachet and applied the tissue mask to my face.

The mask was really damp and had a nice fragrance to it. It wasn't too strong and when I put the mask on, my face felt a tingly and cooling sensation. I pressed the mask on gently and left it for 15 minutes while I watched TV. After about 10 mins, my skin felt tighter with the mask on and the liquid serum had absorbed into my skin. I felt relaxed and like I was having a mini pamper session for my face. I waited another 5 mins then I removed the tissue mask. It peeled off super easy. Afterwards, some of the liquid Hyaluronic Acid was still on my face but I rubbed it into my skin as the instructions suggest. My skin is sensitive and I didn't have any issues with this. After trialing this face mask, I felt like it gave my skin a nice glow afterwards and my skin did felt more plump and subtle than usual.

I'm not sure I would go out and buy it to try again but it was nice to feel refreshed and I'm glad I was able to try it.

Garnier Fresh Mix Tissue Mask

I was sent this product as part of a Trial team.

The Garnier Skin Active Fresh-Mix Tissue Mask comes in a simple packaging. These water- based sheet mask with Hyaluronic Acid is packaged in two sections. The top section contains a dry algae tissue mask and the bottom, a shot of serum to go with it.

The instructions on the packaging are easy to follow: start with clear skin, fold the sachet in thirds and squeeze gently until the seal opens and releases the serum into the mask. Once opened, I applied the mask and and was pleasantly surprised about the coverage and overall fit of it. Sometimes these type of masks can be strangely sized and shaped but this fit perfectly, molding into every corner of my face.

The Hyaluronic Acid formula helps to hydrate the skin reducing the loss of moisture providing a soothing burst of hydration.

After one application, my skin felt good and a little bit tighter but here was no dramatic difference to the look of my skin and I found the residue to be a bit sticky.

At NZD6 per mask and Garnier’s recommended three times a week usage I feel that there is a fair amount of other products in the market that deliver better results.

PROS: No scent. It didn’t irritate my sensitive skin.
