Another fave I learned about on the BR forums!

I wasn't prepared to adore this as much as I do. I'd seen people raving about the EOS Lip Balm on the forums and I've thought 'whatever' - but then heard they were being sold in a shop near where I live, and was on a shopping spree day, and ended up with one. Since then I've applied it approximately 417 times, whether or not I need it, because it's so darn cute that I just like using it all the time.

I got this for $8.50 at Martha's Backyard (American import store in Auckland) and there were a range of flavours on offer. I opted for Passionfruit, as it's one of my favourite scents, but quite rare to find in a product.

The EOS Passionfruit Lip Balm is a gorgeous pastel lilac, and comes in a short, squat pottle that is shaped like an egg that has had the top and bottom sliced off, and the side squished in. It's roughly golf ball sized - can be tucked into the palm of your hand - but is super easy to find in your handbag, which I *love*.

You twist it open to reveal a ball of hard gloss, that is an opaque creamy yellow. The ball sits above the edge of the container in a rounded, protruding hump. That sounds really unglamorous, but it actually looks quite cool.

Because of the unique ball shape you can purse your lips and swipe then entire thing over your mouth once. If you can stop at once you have more will power than me though, because this smells and tastes gorgeous - kinda vanilla but also the passionfruit and a sexy hint of something deeper. You'll lick it off your lips and want to reapply it, trust me.

Is this the thickest, most hydrating lip balm in the world? No. It's the cutest, and among the best smelling, but it's not ultra hydrating and probably isn't going to change your life. But it's light, pretty, fun, and I can see myself using it up and buying more, which I can't always say about lipbalm - and I'm pretty sure I've literally tried them all. It'll impart a pretty shine and nice feeling while it's on your lips, and alongside the other aforementioned benefits, I love it :) Add in to that the fact that they are 100% natural and full of goodness, and it's a pretty attractive package !

like a little planet of heaven for lips

I absolutely love my EOS lip balm- or little planet of heaven for your lips as i sometimes call it! They smell heavenly, i like the hydration they give my lips as they stay moist for longer. although i quite like the packaging, its abit too big when you have a little bag and in an awkward shape..but overall these a lovely. i wish they sold these at Countdown or kmart somewhere you can easily get them!

Little gems for your lips

A friend recently returned from Canada and brought me back a mint EOS lipbalm, after a week I am converted. I love it, not only is the packaging adorable and unlike most other lip balms, it actually works.

It's not overpowering, it glides on and I know with the mint it feels so nice and cold to apply and leaves your lips tingling (in a good way).

I love it and will definitely be buying more! There is a lady on Trade Me who sells them and quite a few NZ Makeup sites are now stocking them.

Five of my favourite balms

I went a little nuts when I found these for $3 each at Target while in California last year. I ended up buying Lemon Drop (SPF); Blueberry Acai; Summer Fruit; Strawberry Sorbet & Pomegranate Raspberry.

I always carry one in my handbag. I haven't managed to finish one yet, but when I need a moisture hit on my lips, these more than meet the job.

The flavours are strong, and I like that. My favourite is the blueberry but the Lemon Drop certainly got bashed because of the SPF in it this summer just been so is about half finished.

If you've been living under a rock, and you're not familiar with the shape of these - they're round balls of bliss. But they're not pocket or evening clutch friendly!

Right now, I have more than enough to keep me going - and I've got them stashed around the house. Their bright colours make them hard to lose :)

silky smooth

The lip balm I got was the pink one and it is really great because it doesnt leave my lips with that burny feeling if I stop using it. It smells amazing and i love applying it. It has a really nice texture and isnt greasy it actually does moisten my lips.

Tips: Enjoy

Cute and comfy

The EOS lipbalm is a very good lipbalm. It does not have the highest hydration in the world, but it is great for everyday wear. I love the packaging, which is almost made for diy reuses, and the easy way of applicating. I have pomegranate, mint and apple, and they are some of my favourite lip balms, especially mint, which is essential for a fresh feeling and has been a part of my night routine for a year now.

Daily essential

I have two of these flavours - blueberry and acai, and lemon. Both are fantastic and have lasted me so long (despite that even my boyfriend steals them - they're just THAT good!). They leave your lips feeling nice and soft for the longest time, and with consistent application they really make a difference to your lips.

New Best-Friend

It all started with one... Blueberry Acai. Now I have nearly completed the collection! Oops! I can not resist their unique and cute wee shape and how soft and nourishing these leave my lips feeling. Each EOS smells just like it is advertised too (my current favourite being Coconut Milk). These lip balms seem to last forever and when they do finally run out I have watched some pretty cool tutorials on how to reuse and recycle them! EOS lip balms have quickly become one of my favourites and I would highly recommend them to all!

Yum!

I have the passion fruit one of these, unsure if it's limited edition or not but it smells absolutely amazing! Every one of these EOS lip balms smell so yummy!!! They're not the best moisterizering lip balms, I find myself needing to reapply it every few hours

Cute and handy to keep in purses

I have 3 of them in the flavours Sweet Mint, Strawberry Sorbet and Honeysuckle Honeydew. The first one I ever used was the Mint one and I fell in love with the smell and the tingly feeling it left on my lips. These smell really lovely, look cute, are easy to use, work well and last quite a while. I do feel that you need to keep reapplying throughout the day but they keep your lips soft and moisturised and do the job!
