Pantene Moisture Renewal Shampoo Review

You can definitely smell Pantene through the bottle and the scent is amazing! Upon using it, the first thing I noticed was that the shampoo was quite thick compared to what I was expecting and used to. A consistency I’d probably expect from a conditioner rather than a shampoo. Not a bad thing – it was just different. I have really thick hair and it definitely gives it a softer texture and lovely shine once dry. Converted!

I love the fragrance of this shampoo. It is a shampoo that doesnt feel like it strips your hair down it also makes it feel soft and managable whilst in the shower. It left my hair nice and clean and its a shampoo that feels conditioning at the same time.

After not using Pantene for a while, I thought I'd see whether it had improved. And I'm glad I did. The fragrance alone surprised me but the way it made my hair feel was even better! My hair felt really clean and didn't feel weighed down as it can with other products. I would definitely try again...

Although in the past I have found Pantene range of shampoo to be too drying for my hair, this new formula is less harsh. I’m not sure if I would replace my normal sulphate free shampoo for it though as it still left my hair with a slight dry straw effect before applying conditioner, and I would not use this daily! It just made my hair too soft to the point it went crazy fluffy and frizzy.

The design of the bottles is great though, for the size you really get value for money, the lid is easy to operate even in the shower and the whole branding with the golden toned colours is very simple but effective. One odd thing about the shampoo is that the formula consistency is rather thick in comparison to other shampoo on the market, and I found the shampoo formula to be even thicker than the conditioner which is peculiar in my experience but I guess it is thick to add moisture to hair, being thicker also means that is foams up almost immediately as it hits your wet hair so bear this in mind as you really only need a little dot of it to cover your head.

Fragrance wise it started off with an almond aroma but continually use has seen that dim away to a none descriptive scent which leaves no residue of fragrance on your hair. I’m normally a girl who only washes her hair once a week but for the purpose of reviewing this shampoo properly I stuck with its instruction of daily use, as in the name of the product Daily Moisture Renewal Shampoo.

i normally use salon products only on my hair. My hair is quite damaged from lightening, straightening and blow drying. I was pleasantly surprised with this shampoo. Nice simple and functional packaging. Smells yummy and the consistency is just right. It lathers up really nicely so don't have to use much and leaves my hair feeling nice and clean after one shampoo. I have noticed quite a lot of improvement in the look and feel of my hair - both for the better. I have a sensitive scalp which is prone to getting really itchy with some shampoos but I haven't had any problems with this one. I've also used this on my daughters hair. She's prone to oily scalp and really dry lengths and ends. Her hair also seems to love this shampoo. Overall I'm pretty stoked with this product and will be buying more for sure :)

Like the conditioner, I had tried this yonks ago and didn't fall in love with it at all. Didn't find it did anything for my short hair so when this trial came up, I just had to put my hand up to see if they had improved their formula after all these years. Here are the results.

The container is good as it prevents it getting mixed up with the conditioner which is always a bonus for me because I get sick and tired of picking up the wrong bottle of other brands as they are exactly the same.

The formula I find is a bit more thicker than it used to be and I find that you don't need a lot of this, maybe the size of a 50c coin, but then again it also depends on the length and thickness of your hair. I have short thick hair so don't really require lots as it lathers up really well, too much of the shampoo I find is really hard to get out and takes ages to wash it out. I think what I liked about this formula is that it left my hair feeling soft and a little silky before I had applied the conditioner which I always like and tells me its a good brand, some leave my hair feeling like birds nest at the back. This one was good.

The fragrance was nice just like the conditioner, a fruity type hint I think it is, I'm useless when it comes to describing scents, so don't hold me to the fruity part lol.

The actual results I found were pretty much like the conditioner, after the first use, left my hair soft, shiny, clean and with a little bounce. I don't believe it has a wow factor and perhaps for me it never will as I'm super fussy when it comes to my hair, but it has improved and I really like that Pantene are always striving to improve their formula to satisfy their customers. A thumbs up for that Pantene.

In my younger days I was a regular Pantene user, but as my hair became more coarse and fine it wasnt doing the trick and I stopped using Pantene Shampoo and conditioner for many many years.

When I was invited to trial the new Pantene range I was excited and nervous, I wasnt sure it would help my hair but I was open to anything.

It comes in a white plastic bottle with a strong lid, I dont know how many times I have dropped this shampoo or its fallen off the shelf and the lid is still in tact 100%.

Using it for the first few times I noticed it didnt foam as much as normal shampoos, it smells so nice and fresh, rinsing the shampoo out is easy and my hair didnt feel unmanageable after shampooing like regular shampoos which made me very impressed.

It cleans my scalp very well without removing all my natural oils from my hair, I am so impressed with the new pantene range, teamed with the conditioner I found a huge change in my hair just after the first wash. I highly recommend this Shampoo and Conditioner.

When I was younger, I was told by a hairdresser to stay away from Pantene because it was not good for my hair, and me, being a trusting customer listened. However, when I saw the trial team for the Pantene shampoo and conditioner being shown, I knew I had to give this forbidden brand a try, just to see if my hairdresser was right.

My reviews tend to always start with the design on the bottle, and this one is no different. I actually really like the design of Pantene’s shampoo range. Not only is the container made of a relatively soft plastic so its easy to get the product out of it, but the shampoo lid sits facing up, whereas the conditioner lid faces down, which I love because I sometimes get confused. It also looks classy because of the simple white and gold colour theme used. I definitely think this product adds a touch of sophistication to my shower.

The shampoo is a white liquid with a slight sheen to it. It’s a good consistency, and I find a small amount can create a really good lather which means the shampoo is economical. Now I am a sucker for a product that smells good, and this one, well.. it smells really good. I can’t think of anything the smell reminds me of but it smells fresh, clean, and slightly sweet.

Some shampoos make my hair frizzy, and I mean really frizzy and I’m pleased to say this shampoo did not do this. It did an okay job at cleaning my hair, but I found it didn’t clean it quite aswell as it would have hoped, and like other shampoos do.

Overall, I think this is a good shampoo, but not great. I have never tried the original versions so have nothing to compare it too. I don’t know if my hair was healthier after every wash, but it did have a nice shine to it. I have to say, this is not my all-time favourite shampoo, but it does the job i suppose. However, I wont be rushing to the supermarket to repurchase this any time soon!
