I have this foundation in Matte, in neutral dark shade. It gives an even all over coverage with a light weight feel. It is SP 15 so even better for the skin, to use with your daily sun care regime. I love how it doesnt cake or clump even when worn over other products, such as primer or concealer. Overall a nice, clean look with even skin tone and a matte finish.

After one of my favourite YouTubers raved about the great results she was getting after switching to Bareminerals original foundation. I had to try it!
I’ve been using Bareminerals for over a year and have found the product is gentle on my skin and doesn’t clog my pores. I can use this every day and find my skin doesn’t break out.
Packaging is sleek and kept in a plastic jar with the product safely behind a twisting lid. Great for travel, you know product is not going to risk seeping out.
Gently tap a small amount of product into the lid. Taking a small amount on your brush, giving it a small tap on the side of the lid before applying. Starting on your cheek in a circular motion buff the foundation into your skin. The more you do this the creamer the product becomes. You can apply more to get your desired coverage. If buffed correctly you will have a creamy, smooth, flawless finish that doesn’t look caked on.
The biggest draw card for me is the gentleness of this product. It is shiny like a disco ball like some mineral foundations can be. It doesn’t feel like I have make up on at all and my skin can breathe. I’ve noticed a huge difference in my skin since switching to this foundation and the added SPF is a huge advantage in our harsh climate.
Tips: Use a firm brush to buff. If a firm bush is not used the product will sit on skin and not melt in like it should. A little product goes along way - less is best.
I starting using this foundation when I was 16 years old. The formula has changed a bit since then but it always performed the same. Now (in my 30s) I favour liquid foundations as they help conceal more and are better at keeping my skin hydrated. If you have youthful skin this foundation is an easy-to-apply option.
Tips: Apply using a kabuki brush and BUFF BUFF BUFF!
I purchased this in a kit and found it amazing especially for work, it covered really well was easy to apply and looked great on. It didn't feel like I was wearing lots of makeup either yet couldn't see any flaws in my skin. Loved it. Purchasing it with the kit came with brushes which was handy.
I love this foundation, so easy and foolproof to apply, no need for a mirror! Evens out my skin tone and just looks better as the day goes on. Lasts forever too! It is very easy to colour match as they write a colour description on their website.
This is the first mineral foundation I have ever tried. After going through countless of reviews I was sold, went and got matched in the shade light (Im usually a C2 in Mac and 03ivory in Clinique even better). I have normal to dry skin, the first time I wore it just on top of my moisturiser and noticed that it cling to my dry spots. After that I used it with a thin layer of Nars Sheer Glow Foundation and the results were amazing. It provided a medium coverage and my friends complimented that it doesn't even look like I am wearing any foundation. Lasted for a good 7 hours without touch up. However, the T-zone do tend to get a little oily after a few hours.
Tips: Make sure to use a good moisturiser and either a BB cream/light foundation before applying the BareMinerals Orginal Foundation to provide more coverage and a dewy finish. Dust a thin layer of setting powder on the T-zone to prevent oiliness. Use a dense brush to apply the foundation to concentrate the product more. (I use the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush)
This product is easy to use and looks pretty good on. I am pretty pale and the colour is good. It is nice and light on my sensitive skin and hasn't caused any issues. There is a reasonable amount in the container and it lasts quite a while.
I splurged on this after a friend recommended it. Loved it! It applied so nicely, and I was surprised at the coverage. The shimmer in it is not over powering, and, in fact, draws the eye away from imperfections. However, it would not be ideal for very blemished skin. Coverage was light, but buildable. Cons - not as long lasting as I'd like on my oily skin, not good as concealer.
Tips: I find the brushes that come with the starter set shed A LOT and are vaguely skin colour, so hard to remove. I'd recommend using other brushes to apply. Also use cream concealer beforehand, as it doesn't do as good a job as a concealer as it does as a foundation.
I love this foundation as an everyday foundation as it doesn't feel heavy or caked and the SPF15 helps protect my skin. The coverage on this foundation is light to medium so is more suited to daytime wear. I usually need to do one touch up throughout the day. I have oily skin so i find a powder foundation is great for absorbing oils. My skin is very pale and find it hard to find foundations light enough, so i highly recommend this to any pale girls out there!
Tips: Apply thin layers to avoid caking
I had tried lots of other brands of mineral powder before and they didn't have very good coverage, so I was quite sceptical to try this despite the rave reviews. However I was pleasantly surprised that the colour chosen for me didn't make me look like a ghost nor did it melt off my face. I have Fairly Light for winter and Medium Beige for summer.
Tips: Get a good kabuki brush to apply properly. And use a little powder blush on top to add some colour.
