It is the middle of winter and my skin has lost its summer glow and been hit with a case of dryness due to the crispy cold days. When the opportunity arose to trial the L'Oreal Paris Revitalift Laser 7 Day Treatment Glycolic Peel Ampoules I jumped at the chance. This was chance to see if I could have a great experience with a glycolic peel treatment as my last one was 13 years ago and I had an awful experience with very red, burnt skin and weeks of recovery for my skin to return to normal. Now, a little older and some fine lines appearing surely my skin would love a little home treatment. I incorporated the ampoules into my evening routine. After washing my skin I flicked the top so the product would fall to the bottom and then snapped off the cap and tipped the product onto my fingers to apply to my face. It was very easy to use, and there was enough for two applications on my skin. It soaked nicely into my face and neck and didn't leave any residue when I carefully patted it around my face. There was a slight scent that was pleasant, but barely anything to mention.
After the first night I found my face a little more bright - and ensured I used a base lotion with a sunscreen as the product can cause sensitivity to the sun. The second and third night I followed the same routine. After the third night I found my skin was a bit red and starting to slightly react with sensitivity to the products I was using. I chose to stop the trial after night three to give my skin a little break. This is only due to the original salon experience I had with a glycolic peel so I was a bit hesitant to proceed in case I turned red.
The price and packaging are perfect. So easy to insert into a monthly or bi-monthly routine without costing too much. The little ampoules make it so easy to see what night you are on if you want to complete the 7 day course, they are easy to pop into a travel bag and contain the perfect amount of product.
My results may differ from others, but after 3 nights of using the product I am very pleased with the refreshment of my winter skin and will look to carry on using this product as it is affordable with big results. I would recommend this for those who want a salon treatment at an at home price. The quality and results of the product are fantastic.
I was a little worried to try this, the words peel & acid had me thinking I'd wake up with scary peeled of skin on my face. This product definitely wasn't scary at all, I have very sensitive skin & react to certain products so was happy this was fine for me. Its super easy to use, just massage into freshly cleansed skin in circles avoiding eye area & thats it. The results are lovely smooth & bright skin after just the first use. After using 4 nights I noticed my dark spots were lighter & my skin was glowing. I followed up every morning with Loreal revitalift day cream with spf as recommended as the new skin surface needs the protection. At rrp of $39 this is a truly affordable luxury treatment that can be easily done at home that has salon treatment results. I wouldn't hesitate to use again or recommend to a friend who needs a skin rejuvenate treat.
Tips: Use on cleaned skin that is completely dry at night. The product is very light & spreads very easily.
