TURNS ORANGE

I find that this foundation looks more and more orange on me the longer i wear it. I haven't looked at the ingredients but i would assume that there is something in it causing oxidisation. Something to keep in mind when selecting your correct shade - no good for paler skinned beauties. Other than that, coverage is a decent medium to medium-full and i like the natural matte finish. Still looks okay when i get home at the end of the day.

CG Outlast 3 in 1

Really good quality for the price! I love the feel of it on my skin, it doesn't feel too heavy and stays on my skin until I wash it off. It does a good job with covering redness - something I struggle with - and it doesn't have a strong or bad scent. I find it isn't the exact same colour it is dry as when you're applying it, so I needed a foundation that was a shade lighter than my skin colour.

I found it didn't have very good coverage, which I thought it would've considering the fact it was supposed to act as a concealer as well as foundation. When wearing it, I have to wear quite a bit of concealer underneath to cover spots etc, but apart from that it's great.

Covergirl Outlast - my new fave

I have been using Revlon Colorstay for the last 15 years, I have tried soooo many other brands, but nothing stayed quite like Revlon. However, now in my 50's I have found that it sat in my fine lines in an very unflattering way, so I have been looking for an alternative with staying power.

On reading a review of Covergirl Outlast, it seemed to do everything I wanted, and the price was great. I was able to buy it on sale, which was another bonus, just in case it ended up in the box of tried and binned foundations.

It was amazing, stayed all day, didn't sit in my fine lines, covered redness (as best it can for a woman with sudden power surges!). It has good coverage and a satin finish (not completely matt, not shiny either). Good concealability around eyes, blemishes etc, without caking.

I have been using it now for a month and love it. I put my makeup on at 6.30am and its still sitting there when I take it off at night.

I wore Revlon Colorstay Sand Beige and am now wearing Covergirl outlast Buff - which is actually a better shade for me.

I will certainly be sticking with this product and recommending it to all.

Tips: Don't use too much, one pump is usually enough for me. The coverage is also buildable if you need it, for special occasions etc.

CoverGirl Outlast 3 in 1 Foundation

APPLICATION: Firstly I always make sure I moisturise my face and neck well, then I always use a pore minimizing primer. I have used a xobeauty flat top face brush to apply the foundation, I find using a brush, I get a full coverage application. But I did find with using a brush I would see streaks with the application. So another day I tried using less product to see if that made a difference which it did slightly, it meant I could buff the foundation in alot more and more even around the face. However within a few hours the foundation felt heavy and looked cakey. I tried using my (damp) beauty blender on another occassion and found this to be my most preferred way to apply this foundation. It gave a nice medium cover without any streaks, even being a medium coverage it still covered imperfections well. Within a few hours of application the foundation was holding up and didn't look cakey. 4-5 hours after application I noticed the foundation started to breakup around the mouth, nose and in-between the eyes. By 7-8 hour mark I couldn't wait to remove it as it looked like a hot mess.

COVERAGE: Medium but buildable

PRICE POINT: Fairly reasonable

SHADE SELECTION: There is 14 shades to select from

DOES IT OXIDIZE? Yes

FINISH: Semi-Matte

PACKAGING: It's a glass bottle, so not very convenient for traveling.

PROS: Perfect foundation for oily skin Good, Buildable Coverage Contains an SPF to protect your skin from burning Doesn’t smell weird or bad Pump - makes application clean and easy with minimal wastage Good Price

CONS: Can make dry patches stand out Can be cakey if heavy handed on application

OVERALL THOUGHTS: Overall, not a mind-blowing product but very good for a drugstore foundation.

Tips: Less is more!!!!

Average

There are a few benefits to this foundation but also quite a few cons! Firstly i love the colour, their ivory shade is a great match for my skin which is something i often struggle with when looking for a foundation. The packaging is also really nice, simple and it has a pump that also screws off to help with getting the last of the product out of the bottle. I also found that this foundation applied really easily and was easy and quick to blend. My issues with the product are mainly the product itself. The foundation claims to be a primer, concealer and foundation in one which it definitely isn't true. I needed to use both myself and even then the foundation still seemed to slide around on my face more than other foundations i use. I would potentially use it again for the colour but i would try mixing it with other combinations of longer lasting foundations.

Cake face!

After reading a lot of positive reviews on this I decided to give it a try, what a let down, the coverage is so thick and it cakes up so much on my skin, even with a light application, feels like I am wearing a mask. I tried applying this several ways and got the same results everytime.

Wasnt what I was expecting...

I tried this as im always looking for a drugstore foundation that will last me through a humid shift at work (yet to find one btw) and I saw many of my favourite youtubers recommend it. The packaging is nice looking and it had a pump which I like, the consistency of the foundation is actually quite runny which I found surprising for something thats meant to be good coverage and long lasting but it does blend well and is easy to apply. I did like the finish and how it looked on my skin but it only lasted me a few hours before it started to look patchy and uneven, nice for a day shopping or lunching with friends but not so much for an all day shift at work or an all night function.

Is a good go to

I have bought this foundation several times, and have always liked the way it makes my skin looks. The good thing about it is you don't need to use much of it, as a little goes a long way, its easy to apply and blend, and if you don't have time to apply a powder its great as it gives the look of a soft powder finish. It has great coverage and does stay put all day and I didn't need to touch up. Its also good value for money, usually around $20-$22 which if your on a budget is really good.

Tips: Less is more

Great Coverage

This product is great, it's really well priced and good quality for what you pay. It really can be used as a foundation and a concealer and the spf is a great bonus! I would definitely buy it again and recommend to friends.

Not for me

I was so excited to try this foundation out. 3 in 1? Perfect as during the work week I'm kind of pressed for time and sleep is more important to me! So I thought this would be perfect! I didn't like this at all. Maybe it was my application, or lack of primer or then the fact I tried having just moisturised; but EVERY time without fail it would become cakey on my cheeks and nose and then slide off the rest of my face. The cakey look wasn't immediate, in fact immediately it would look amazing and so the first time I tried it, initially I was impressed. After about four hours I actually gave up and wiped what remained off my face.

Tips: This might be better with normal-dry skin but for normal-oily I would not recommend.
