It's totally my fault for buying this primer even though my skin type is very oily. I would definitely recommend this to my friends with dry skin as it is luminous and HYDRATING but on my skin I looked like a shiny alien that dumped their head in a deep fryer full of oil LOL i agree it can be used as a base but not alone as it makes you look like metallic cellophane.

Tips: Not for oily skin guys and gals
I wanted to try this for so long because I absolutely love Dewey looking skin! I splurged on this when there was a bit of a sale ($40 for the amount it has is a bit stupid).
You don't need much, not even a full pump and it should cover your whole face. It leaves such a beautiful luminous glow that shines subtlety through my foundation which is exactly what I wanted.
Buuuuuuuut my skin absolutely HATES it. I have very sensitive/dry skin and it just gets so dry and I break out so bad when I use it.
I'm so gutted because I really do love it so every now and again I'll use it...... but only maybe once every couple a weeks. I'll probably end up giving it to a friend.
I wish it loved me as much as I love it. But nope.
Tips: Not for dry skin
I have used this a few times but found it quite oily. I didnt use all over my face as i found it just made me look shiny rather than illuminated!
I recently tried out the L'Oreal Lumi Magique Pure Light Primer after hearing fantastic things about it both online and from friends. Sadly though, it didn't work so well for me and I will not be repurchasing!
I love the packaging and principal behind this product - it comes in a sleek, pretty, pearly-coloured pump bottle, and claims to illuminate and prime your skin before foundation. I love the consistency and pearly nature of this product, and how it instantly smooths out my skin. It makes foundation very easy to apply and much easier to blend in, with a subtle glow underneath it. Immediately after finishing my makeup my skin looks glowy, dewy, and really pretty.
After a few hours, however, my skin still develops red patches and I need to top up my foundation just like normal. In addition to this, my skin looked more pourous and lack lustre than it did with just a layer of foundation and no primer. The soft glow was gone, and my face just looked a bit weird!
I tend to have quite sensitive, breakout-prone skin anyway, so it might just be my temperamental preference! But this product really didn't do much for me at all, and I will be returning to my simple routine of moisturising then immediately applying foundation.
Have to say this doesn't always agree with my skin type and I do prefer the MAC strobe cream, in saying this it does have a good amount of sheen to it. Would only use maybe once a week due it clogging up my pores too much...hello breakouts if your not careful.
Tips: Use wisely.
so yea i decided to give a go a few weeks back. I used it with a nice matte foundation, i have dry skin so it wasnt as great it kind of made my skin abit irritated. It does have a nice glow to it though but would not recommend to anyone with sensitive dry skin
Bought this last week and was a little disappointed. I was expecting it to provide a smooth base under foundation. It went on easily enough but I have used other primers that do the job much better than this one. the light illuminating qualities are lost once you apply foundation over it.
Tips: You can use a little on top of your foundation to highlight cheeks or cupids bow but I wouldn't call it a primer.
This was a primer I had to get my hands on after I swatched it in farmers and fell in love. It made my hand shimmery, glowy, and looking amazing. Then I watched a vlogger use this in a tutorial and that was the nail in my coffin, and I brought this product the next time I saw it.
The product actually has lovely packaging. It comes with a pearly white and gold colour theme, which I think looks nice and reflects the actual product which is something that makes sense to me. The packaging has a pump like feature which is used to dispense the product. It’s really effective, and means that not much product would be wasted at the bottom of the container.
This primer is a lovely texture. Its thin compared to other primers I’ve tried, but it doesn’t run anywhere. Plus it has almost a slightly creaminess to it which I like. It has a beautiful luminosity to it, with a shimmer component, and let me say it is shimmery but there are no chunks of glitter, so it gives your skin a nice glow, not a sparkly mess. Bonus.
This primer does give my skin a nice glow, and a dewy look. But in saying that, once foundation is applied you can hardly notice it, and then I find it’s not as long lasting as I would have hoped, and when I look in the mirror before lunch, I can hardly notice the dewiness that I saw in the morning. Not ideal.
Overall, the effects of this primer are short lasting, and honestly, I could probably recreate this formula by mixing some of my high beam into a primer that actually is long lasting to create a similar effect so I won’t be repurchasing this.
It was okay I don't think its good to use as a primer I didn't notice any thing different after using it .
I bought this product about a year ago because I saw shaaanxo raving about it on her YouTube channel. I'm really into glowing skin so I thought it sounded great. The retail price here Is ridiculous and I would never pay that much for it. Luckily I was able to find it online for about half the price, still expensive though considering this is only a 20ml product.
Anyway, it comes in a sleek little tube and it has a convenient pump applicator which also keeps things hygienic as well.
The product itself is a white, slightly metallic looking, runny lotion. You only need a small amount to do your whole face which is good since it means the small amount of product in the tube It'll go a long way.
After rubbing this into my face, I can definitely see a glow and shine. I personally wouldn't use this product by itself but I have acne and redness to cover. If you had clear skin that was just a bit dull, I think this would look so good by itself.
I've been using this under my favorite Korean bb cream. It possibly helps my makeup stay longer but i barely notice a difference in glow when I'm not using this primer. I'd love to have a product that would erase the need for highlighter but this product doesn't do that for me. Maybe with a matte foundation but i have dry skin so i stay clear of anything that says matte as that usually translates to 'will search out and cling to any dry patches'.
Overall, this product is pretty average to me. I will continue to use my tube all up (I'm just over half done with it) but for how expensive it is, I wouldn't buy it again.
Tips: Make sure you shake the product first. Mine had been sitting for a while and had gone watery so I pumped it down the sink until it went thicker but then realized it would have just needed a Shakeup!
