Hair food

I brought this product while on special I have thick dry hair I thought this would help put moisture back into it . The product is very thick and you don’t really need to use much I left it in my hair after shampooing it for about 10 minutes once washed out my hair felt nice and healthy and full of moisture, it don’t really last long feeling this way as I thought it would I guess it works differently with all hair types

Didn't quite hit the mark

I was so excited to trial this product due to my hair needing to anti frizz as it has got out of control but I just want wanting to cut it as I love the length so I tried this as soon as I received it at first I used it as a mask for my hair I shampooed and conditioned then applied the mask and left in for the 1 minute it stated I then rinsed it out and I have to say the smell was not pleasant at all it smelt like wet bark I couldn't wait to rinse it out and o was dressing what my hair was going to smell like because I this I towered dried my hair it felt nice but not silky smooth like when u have filled your hair up with silicon based products and I have to say the smell was ok after that I let my hair dry naturally and it looked promising but my hair continued to frizz the drier it got so my 2nd 3rd 4th etc attempts went ok just the smell really hits a bad note with me I dont think I would choose to buy this macadamia 1 again but would look at the rest of the range as each time I have used it it has made a difference in my hairs manageability so i would recommend to shop round all the different 1s within this range and find the right 1 for u i love love love it is all natural that is awesome I used it in all 3 ways as a conditioner a mask and as a leave in I found as a xonditer and a mask it does the trick just found it abit heavy to use as a leave in on my hair and I couldn't have the full force of the smell of it on me like that

Tips: Get the right one for u

Makes your hair silky and lush

I purchased this specifically to be a curly girl friendly mask- that means no silicones or sulphates. This feels like incredible quality for a supermarket product, as thick as any I'd expect to buy from salon. A little goes a long way, and I do find my hair feels a lot less dry and frizzy after use (whilst not being too heavy for my fine hair). Will definitely repurchase

Another crowd favourite.

These masks are seriously so good. I now have tried all four. They are very affordable, even when they are not on special as the tub is a huge 390mls.

The macadamia smells nutty indeed, quite strong it isn't unpleasant but it's not my favourite scent in the range. I found it quite hydrating. It makes my hair feel soft so I differently notice a difference when my hair ends are super dry.

I think they are a fantastic range of hair masks especially for children. My daughter loves using these to help condition her hair as they smell fantastic.

Tips: Great for kids who don't like there hair being washed.

Delicious hair care!

I just loved how you can use this product 3 different ways, a normal conditioner, a leave in treatment or a hair mask as well as the fact it is 98% natural origin. I tried all 3 ways but have to say the hair mask was my absolute fave!!! I used the Garnier Fructis Hair Food Macadamia along with my Fructis Sleek & Shine shampoo or the shampoo & conditioner combo (got hooked on this after trying it via Beauty Review!) depending on what treatment I was doing. While using as any of the 3 your hair is left smelling absolutely yummo and feels as well as looks more settled, but I found using it as a hair mask the best for me as when I let my hair naturally dry it still kept the curl looking soft as well as together and controlled instead of the annoying little halo of static frizz I still got a bit of normally as well as keeping the curl well controlled even after a couple of days. My hair feels even more healthy and soft and I just love having no frizz after using this. I totally recommend this to anyone with a bit of frizz to their hair or has curls that go a bit out of control because you will love it and not want to part with it once you start!

Tips: The tub is big so take care not to get too much water in it when you open it in the shower so it keeps it texture. If you have long nails don't try to scoop it out, tilt it to the side to get it and you may think you are using loads but it actually goes along way.

Super food for my hair!

When I first received this product I was pleasantly surprised with the size of the tub. It contains 390ml of product and after only a few uses I've hardly made a dent in it.

I especially like that this is a 98% natural product. The 2% of ingredients that are unnatural are necessary to ensure the product doesn't go off, which is fine with me. It contains coconut oil and macadamia seed oil that helps to ensure my hair is left nourished and moisturised. It doesn't have any parabens or silicones in it, which is great for people who are sensitive to these

The texture of the product is thick and creamy. I find that only a small amount of product goes a long way. It has a nice smell which is a cross between coconut oil and a fruity scent. The smell lasts on my hair for at least two days after I've used it.

I've only noticed positive changes in my hair since using this product. I've definitely noticed that my hair has become visibly softer and shinier. I even had a co-worker comment on how healthy my hair looked the other day, so something must be working!

My favourite method for using it is to apply it to wet hair will already in the shower. I find that it applies much easier this way. Then I leave it for a few minutes and wash it out.

Overall I've really enjoyed using this product and I will continue using it until the tub runs out.

Post-holiday hair magic

After a few days of swimming for hours at a time in our hotel's pool, my daughter's hair was full of knots and tangles. Even a tiny dread was forming. And no amount of brushing with my favourite Mita brush was helping.

I recalled seeing good reviews for the Garnier Fructis Hair Food range, so on arriving home I popped out and bought a tub of the Macadamia Hair Food.

The scent is GORGEOUS. By the end of treating her hair with a mask I was hungry. I like the tub format too, although I have to be careful to screw the top on as I can see myself knocking it over and getting it everywhere if I don't.

Her waist-length hair took about two small finger scoops of product for it to be saturated. I left it on for five minutes then ran my Mita brush through the knots. To my surprise they disappeared - like magic. Even the stubborn ones. After rinsing it out her hair was silky smooth and smelt delicious.

There was no screeching, no moaning, no complaining throughout the process, which is unheard of. For $12 on special, and still with loads left, I think this is worth the price, and a must-have for parents or carers whose kids are prone to tangled hair.

Hair food

After I used up my last hair mask, and after seeing all the positive reviews on BR, I decided to give this a try. I like nut-flavoured things, so I thought this one would be good to try for my first experience of Garnier’s hair food.

The Garnier hair food claims to be 98% of natural origin and to not contain any: parabens, silicones, or artificial colourants. It is labelled as an “intense conditioner for dry & unruly hair.” The label also says it can be used as a conditioner, a mask, or as a leave-in treatment. It is meant to nourish hair without weighing it down. The hair food comes in a big 390ml tub. The Macadamia one has an orange label on a cream-coloured plastic tub with a dark brown lid. The lid is easy to unscrew. The product itself is a thick, nutty-coloured cream. It has a very pleasant scent, which is not too strong. It is easy to apply: all you have to do is dip your hands into it, scoop out some product, and massage it into your hair. It rinses out well too.

I have very fine, dry hair. My hair is also damaged because I lighten it. Something that nourishes my hair without weighing it down is ideal. Because I want maximum moisture without added weight, so far I have only used this as a hair mask, but it has been working very well. Not only does it smell delicious, but it has been leaving my hair feeling intensely hydrated, and softer and smoother looking. You do not need to apply much product either, and with such a large tub, it is great value for money. I am really enjoying using this hair food. I hope to try the other flavours once this one is finished.

Garnier Hair food

After reading great reviews about this hair product I decided to finally give it a try. It was the start of lockdown and I was miserable, my hair was a mess and so dry and I couldn’t get back to the hair salon for another hair treatment. I decided to send my husband to the supermarket and told him I wanted this exact one and he found it for me, I was so happy! I absolutely love the smell of this hair treatment, as soon as you twist open the tub you get this delicious smell of macadamia, although I think it smells more like mangos, it definitely smells good enough to eat! It says you can use as a conditioner, a hair mask or a leave in, I’ve already tried all 3 ways and my hair is so much better than it was. I really like that it’s made from vegetable oils and has no parabens, silicones and artificial colourants. It doesn’t weigh my hair down and I would definitely recommend this to anyone that needs something to help with very dry hair.

Soft, nourished hair!

I have tried the whole hair food range now. I picked this up on special at Countdown for $6.99. Definitely keep an eye out for a sale as it is great value.

It comes in a big tub with a screw on lid. It looks like a yoghurt or ice cream pottle. The consistency is beautiful and thick. Fragrance wise it smells lovely but isn't as strong as the rest of the range and this would probably be my least favourite scent.

I love that you can use it 3 different ways. I like to use it as a leave on mask specifically. I  smother all over my hair then wrap it in glad wrap then a towel and let it sit for as long as possible. I find it leaves my hair deeply nourished and super smooth. It leaves a brilliant shine and doesn't weigh my hair down at all.

This is a lovely product. Try out the range and pick your favourite. Great value for money and does what it says.
