When it comes to our beauty routines you can divide the two biggies into skin care and cometics right?  But where lies our loyalty?

Let's say, hypothetically, you were given $100 to spend on ONE beauty item.  Where would you invest your dollar?

Our skin care fanatics would probably choose a serum or treatment they normally couldn't justify in their budget   - after all, all great looks start with great skin right? For our makeup lovers, well, their money would go to making themselves look great - maybe a palette or a limited edition splurge?

Or maybe you fit into neither category and would choose an expensive product for your hair, or a fragrance even?

Get chatting to us below and tell us - what would you spend your hypothetical $100 on?

What do you splurge more on?

Skincare-wise, I would love a high-end serum which I normally wouldn't buy, because of the cost.

Makeup for sure! I've got my skincare sorted at the moment and have been lusting after Dior Star foundation for the longest time! I just can't justify spending that much on a foundation since I have found a drugstore priced foundation that works for me. Doh!

Make up, no question. I love makeup & there are so many gorgeous things I want that are super expensive. Ooooh, perhaps something Charlotte Tillbury? Or a set of really nice, new brushes... So many choices!

Probably Cosmetics, I'm after a cream contour kit and a highlighter , also a perfume wouldn't go astray ;)

In past years I probably would have opted for cosmetics but my skin care regime was long overdue for a re-vamp, and this year I promised myself I'd take better care of my skin. I would love to get my hands on Lancome Visionnaire Serum after hearing so many great things about it.

Cosmetics for me :) luckily I don't have any major issues with my skin so skincare comes second.

I so would go and get the best rated skincare products voted by our BR members. And I would would base it all on winter

I would definitely go for cosmetics because my stash literally consists of two eye shadow compacts, a mascara, brushes, three lippys and foundation. I would love to expand to get a great palette and primer. I know that's more than alot of people but I love experimenting with colour and combos but I am very limited with what I have at present.

Skincare! Healthy flawless skin is the perfect base to any makeup, and who can say no to face masks, eye creams and yummy smelling cleansers/scrubs!

Skincare for me. I have trouble finding decent moisturizers for my face, so I was super glad when I got one in the December Beauty Box. Or I would be naughty and find perfume.

Usually I'd be jumping up and down screaming 'skincare! skincare!', but I've seen so many amazing eyeshadow palettes raved about on here I'm dying to get my hands on one. Stila In The Light? Stila In The Garden? Too Faced? Argh, so many amazing ones to choose from! Great question - it's given me some fabulous fantasy shopping :)

Seriously such a hard choice but skincare I think if yor skin is a good canvas then makeup your makeup looks good :)

Makeup! some kind of palette for sure actually to be exact. I'm not sure why but it would be so hard for me to part with $100 for 1 skincare item! Oh and also I know it's not an option but I'd totally spend $100 on perfume too.

My skin is looking okay at the moment and I can never have enough make up, lol xx

I voted skincare because how I've been more inclined to spend. But this year I'm thinking I need to replace makeup that I've had from 4 to 8 years ago or older. I was going project pan everything off but now I'm not to sure about the blush and eyeshadow palette from almost a decade ago and the lippies and foundation is 4 years old. So I'd be spending thing differently this time around and put it towards some nice foundation or blush.

and nice high end stuff. I'm more into quality than quantity this year and I don't mind having a small collection if it's a really nice one. I have a few brands in mind for replacements and adding to the existing collection.

At the end of the day. You can only use a certain number of items at once and you really only have the time for a few makeup items on a daily basis so you're better off splurging on one nice palette that you love and will use almost every time

instead of ten cheap ones that you will rarely use. AIso I learned recently that it's not just liquid and cream stuff that expires, powdered stuff does too and so you unless you can use it up within two years then it's kinda of wasted or you end up

using expired products like I have and then dealing with breakouts.
