The World of Luxury Beauty Cases

The Beauty Crew went on tour this weekend, which of course meant our must-have, can't-live-without-them products came with us.  In varying degrees of swankiness it has to be said.

From GWP cosmetic cases to gorgeous beauty cases that matched the luggage; everyone's beauty stuff was safely and securely contained for travel.  Well almost everyones.  I must confess to having a bit of a last minute run around looking for something to put my toiletries and such in.  In the end I used a couple of washable sandwich envelopes for leakables and stashed those and the bigger stuff into a large drawstring organza gift bag.  I know.  Classy AND resourceful.

It's time to go shopping, which as we all know usually ends with a foray down the high-end rabbit hole.  Ladies, I give you, the world of luxury beauty cases.

Monagram Beauty Case.

For just under $6000 you can be the proud owner of the Louis Vuitton Monogram Beauty Case.  A modest 8.27 x 9.06 x 11.81 inches in size, it features golden brass pieces, reinforced corners and an s-lock closure.  There's a removable case, mirror an washable lining, as well as a leather ID holder.  And it's made of, erm, canvas.  Come on, for $6000 you'd expect leather and gold right?!

Tanner Krolle Victoria Train Case

For around $5500 you could could be travelling like a vintage beauty with the Victoria Train Case.  The iconic Victorian train case is a traditional lid over case made entirely by hand. Built on a lightweight wooden shell, it is the hand covered with the leather of your choice and stitched with the signature contrast stitch. The interior has a quilted leather base and a removable cosmetic tray and stand up mirror. The interior can be customised to your requirement and filled with perfumes and cosmetics of choice. Bargain.

Acqua di Parma Tournée Business Leather Flat Beauty Case

For a bargain $1000 you can fit just enough products for a weekend away in the Tournee Business Leather Flat Beauty Case.  Features?  Erm vegatable tanned buffalo leather.  And it's compact.

Bottega Veneta Medium Woven Cosmetics Bag

A very travel-sized cosmetics bag measuring 3.5 x 6.5 x 3.5". It's made of Bottega Veneta's signature woven lambskin and features burnished gunmetal hardware.  By hardware I'm guessing they mean the zip.

Samsonite Cosmolite Beauty Case.

Now we may be safely out of the 4 figures now, but half a grand is still a little bit of a punch to the wallet isn't it?!  Although I have to say this is my favourite case for sure.

This Samsonite Cosmolite Beauty Case brings to mind the legend of Aphrodite - beauty within a shell.  Compact and stylish, this case is impact resistant but lightweight - so your makeup stash will be unharmed during travel.  And the interior is an OCD's dream - with sections to make organising your makeup a dream.

MARC by Marc Jacobs Crosby Quilted Small Cosmetics bag

For just under $100 you can probably squish your Daisy and Dot in to the nylon and rubber lined quilted purse.  Still it is quite cute!

And, lastly, we digress...

Dell'ga Extra-Wide Wheeled Croc Shoe Case

Yes for $9000, your favourite 12 pairs of shoes can travel with you!  Described as 'a decadent companion for the well-heeled global traveller' this shoe case is made of black crocodile skin and fitted with secure Minuterie Metalliche Colombo combinations locks, two smooth-gliding wheels and a retractable handle.

Great for your shoes.  Not so much for the crocodile!

Noble and Graff Bordeaux Trunk - Classic Collection

For $6000 you can travel with three wine bottles.  Yes this really is a travel case for wine.  Noble and Graff specialise in bespoke travel cases, from luggage trunks to watch and jewellery case,to travel puppy beds.  Yes really.

So there we have it - the weird and wondeful world of luxury travel - for your beauty products. So time to 'fess up.  When you travel how do you cart your hair and skin care products around?  Do you have a proper vanity case, or like me, do you reach for the nearest semi-useful vessel on the way out the door?

The Beauty Confessional is once again open...

A practical and sophisticated accessory, this Acqua di Parma vanity case is crafted in Italy from luxurious buffalo leather that has been treated with a special vegetable tanning process to guarantee perfect durability.

Thye are absolutely gorgeous. I cant ever imagine having enough money to spend even $1000.00 on a make up bag! But just imagine travelling and having everything matching

2nd January, 2015

Currently I use a small cooler bag that my son was given as a christmas present last year. Works a treat and very cheap.

28th December, 2014

Some arnt that great, but still better then mine lol

26th December, 2014

I put all my skin care and make up items in a toilet bag. Sometimes I'll se separate out my make up items into a separate make up bag. Nothing like these posh suitcases!

26th December, 2014

Omg now what a waste of money. But I suppose if you can afford them!!!!!!!! I still wouldn't buy them.

25th December, 2014

It looks nice - but really, so much money for something that will only hold everything else? I'd rather spend that on actual products instead

24th December, 2014

Too be honest... Even if I were rich, I wouldn't spend that much on these. Those $50 ones would do the same job... Oh well, I guess it's my envy talk.

24th December, 2014

To the Beauty crew who never sleep - have an awesome Christmas and hope you finally get to relax!

24th December, 2014

Wow the prices took my breath away. Don't think I could justify spending that on a make up case lol!

24th December, 2014

If I win lotto I will buy one of these beauties, otherwise will stick with my old grubby toilet bag.

24th December, 2014

I just have an old canvas sort of zip bag for the bigger items like shower gel, lotion, body oil, hand cream, sunscreen, hairbrush, etc. And the smaller items like travel tubes of face cleanser, toner, serum or facial oil and spf moisturizer, etc. go in a smaller little hard case bag that my brother gave to my when he stopped wearing contacts, it originally came with a trial set of contacts and the contact lenses solution. Anything that may leak goes in zip lock sandwich baggie.

22nd December, 2014

I have a giant make up case, its technically a travel make up case with little drawer slots for all my different brushes and pencils and a giant storage space underneath. My day to day stuff normally sits sorted in the top drawer in my bathroom ready for every day use and then my more expensive and less frequently used items get stored in my case. Did I mention its Pink snakeskin?

22nd December, 2014

Well my $10 bag looks nothing like these hahaha I do love the $9,000 bag though! ;-)

22nd December, 2014

Ohhhhh I LOVE the Louis Vuitton Monogram Beauty Case!!!
