The gorgeousness of purple hair!

Prince, Kid Rock, D12, Doris Day, The Cure, Jimi Hendrix. They loved purple so much they sang about it.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. People like purple. I don't think I've ever met a person who could take issue with the colour purple really. Not too girly, not too manly. Not too childish, not too old lady. Regal yet playful. So it's not really a surprise that purples are a popular choice for makeup. There really is a shade for everyone, regardless of skin type, regardless of age, skin tone or occasion.

Purple hair is a particular favourite of mine. From lilacs to deep violets, from pastel to bright, I just love purple hair. I'm currently in that in-between styles phase, sticking to my New Year's Resolution from years ago to let my hair breathe between different colours, so my purple has now all but faded,but I am very tempted to give it another whirl!

And just look at the possibilities!

i love it! i would do the purple and black mix, i love the lavender too but i couldn't pull it off

Oh I love purple hair... For a while i did the darker purple, but fell in love with the lilac. I was saddened by the fact that it was terribly hard to maintain lilac... so it didn't last very long...

Towards the end of winter I had a darker purple similar to the first picture in the second row down and found the colour lasted really well! I put it over top of my previously red hair so I didn't need to lighten it and no touch ups were required :) since the beginning of spring though I lightened my hair and have been enjoying various shades of purple :)

I so love purple hair it's just so awesome and it suits a lot of people I'm rocking red hair but it's fading fast I would love to give purple ago

I love purple hair the closets that i have is rose violet hair dye i like dark purple more.???? I would. Love to try lilac in my hair and see what that looks like.

I haven't ever dyed my hair but if I had the money for regular upkeep I'd seriously consider the more red shades of purple like maroon and mahogany browns. I have wanted to have warmer shades of red and brown since I was young and one day I'll do it when I can afford the upkeep. Until then a nice purple tinge or red purple tinge to my black brown hair might be an affordable start.

I love the look of purple hair! My bestie just went with blue hair, and I'm tempted to follow suit and go purple. I'm blond so will probably end up with a lighter purple, although those deep colours look amazing!!

I love it I have tried different shades of purple in my hair but haven't found the perfect purple yet ! Some of those pictures are gorgeous "the perfect purple "
