Have You Used an Elizabeth Arden Foundation Before?

Applying foundation is a tricky task.  It really is a skill that you learn through trial and error.  Brush, wedge, sponge, your fingers - each tool has it's pros and cons, and each tool works differently depending on the format of foundation.

Today we're looking at a cream foundation, which generally, are great for providing medium to full coverage, being easily buildable.  And this foundation comes complete with its own applicator too!  Oh.  And one of the ingredients......diamonds.  Actual diamonds!

Recently Elizabeth Arden improved their best-selling and beloved Flawless Finish Sponge-On Cream Makeup. The new formula delivers more of what was great about the orginal foundation:

  • more radiance-boosting benefits
  • improved complexion-perfecting ingredients
  • increased moisturising
  • a natural luminous finish that lasts all day.

Infused with micronized diamond powder, this light-reflecting foundation manipulates and scatters light to diffuse the look of imperfections. Immediately, the look of fine lines, pores, blemishes, scars and dark spots are diminished. Skin appears smoother and more even in tone, as luminosity and radiance are boosted. This moisturising formula offers medium to full coverage that feels comfortable and lasts all day.

And if you think the formula sounds amazing, how about the double-deck compact that's great for travel and on-the-go touchups. Open the top cover to reveal the cream foundation and a mirror, and flip up the bottom level for a contoured application sponge.

So, we think the interest in reviewing this for us is going to be high, so without further ado it's time to put your hand up.

How easy do you find it to apply foundation? If your regular foundation comes with an applicator, do you use it?  Or do you have a favourite foundation tool, independant to the foundation itself?  And what about your experiences with Elizabeth Arden foundations?

I am a "mature" woman have not used foundation for quite a few years and now am looking for something to "hide" my skin blemishes haha. It has been awhile since I have done a sample survey so please choose me. Thanks

I would love to see how this lasts on my skin...yet to find something that I don't need to touch up later in the day.

I used EA foundation many years ago, but now use a liquid foundation. I'd love to give this a go!

I have never used Elizabeth Arden foundation before but have friends and family who swear by it. I'm always looking for an easy to apply foundation with great coverage but not heavy so I would love to give this a go

I would definitely love to try this foundation, I work long hours so it would be great to see how well it last. If the foundation comes with an applicator I do use it. But other things like eyeshadows I use my other professional brushes.

Would love to try this foundation. I've really been prioritising my skin lately, and am yet to find a foundation which is any good for my skin. Every foundation I have tried lately makes me look dull and lifeless. I need one that will fit the colour of my skin AND make me look dewy and radiant!

What a amazing product to review! I would love to give this a whirl. I am a busy mum to a newborn and my oldest just started school yesterday so it's full on. This cream product would be perfect to apply before i head out the door. I used to wear cream foundation everyday and loved it but since moved to liquid which takes longer. I have never tired a Elizabeth Arden foundation before and would love to.

I would love to try this. I work shift work and something easy that’s a one stop shop would be amazing!

I am yet to find a foundation that can last all day in my skin. I have combination skin so I need something that will cover my dry patches but still stay put everywhere else. It is especially difficult to find a foundation that stays looking nice in hotter weather and doesn't make me break out. I would love the opportunity to try Elizabeth Ardens Flawless Finish Sponge-On Cream Makeup. The all in one compact sounds really convenient and I am curious to see if the contoured application sponge is any good. Normally I would carry my liquid foundation, my sponge and a little mirror all separately in a bag. Any compact foundation I have used in the past has had the sponge sitting on the foundation not a separate compartment. It messes up the mirror so I also had to take something to clean the mirror before I even started.

I'd love to be on this trial team I'm currently stuck using fitment foundation and I'd like to see if there is others out there that are better for my skin

Hi - I'd love to part of your trial team for the Elzabeth Arden foundation please. I use a liquid foundation at the mo and it's not enough coverage, so I'd like to try the cream foundation as it says it's medium to full coverage. I'm 44 and getting wrinkly and dry, so something that added a moisturised 'luminous' finish would be AMAZING!!! x

Okay soooo.... I’m nearly 38... I’m getting OLD I desperately need a foundation I can depend on. I have used a beauty cake with the sponge that comes with is for years but it is only a light coverage and I am needing a bit more without looking like i’ve applied Sallys no more gaps. I have noticible pores and getting more fine lines (shhhh we dont call them wrinkles yet) and dark spots - I would love to put this product to the test!!

I’ve never tried Elizabeth Arden products but am super kern too. I use Revlon colourstay and it doesn’t include an applicator and I usually use a foundation brush to apply it.

I haven't used EA foundation before but I am a BIG fan of their products. Micronised diamond powder!? That sounds amazing!!! And if it increases moisturisation without being greasy then its a win-win all round! I would love to try this!
