Do You Use a Protectant When Heat Styling?

I straighten my hair three to four times per week and have a heat protestant spray that I use when I remember which hasn't been much lately oops!

Daily hairdryer and 3 - 4 times straighteners. This may be a life saver

I have naturally curly hair, which means hair washing day is a BIG DAY! This includes blow drying my hair straight, and then using my straighteners to either curl or straighten my hair. This process happens once every four days, so obviously thats a lot of heat!! I try to take the best care of my hair that i possibly can due to all the hot tools i use on it (Hair masks and oils) but i have never been able to find the perfect heat protectant which is super annoying because i really do not want to be damaging my hair! Ive tried every brand imaginable (even GHD) but honestly nothing great. I have almost given up hope, but am really keen to test this out and give an honest review on it. I can definitely tell when a heat protectant is working (if its an average heat protectant then by the end of the four days of not washing my hair it can look a bit dry and splitty, but if it is a good heat protectant my hair style lasts and stays super smooth up until my next wash) Would absolutely love to give this a go!

I use a hot protection spray every day before I dry or straighten my hair, don’t know if it actually helps though!

I use a hair dryer 4 times a week and my GHD 2 times a week. I don't use one as the ones I have tried make my hair feel like straw. Would like to see what this one does and how it feels.

I use straighteners and hair dryer but dont use protection which is really bad!

Honestly I used to be so good when I was younger but all the heat protectants I tried just weighed my hair down! I need to get back into the habit of using them though since I use hot tools religiously to tame my curly but fine hair

Mine ran out many moons ago and sadly isn't high on my priority lists of things to spend my money on... though I know it should be, because my hair is split and frizzy!

I always use a heat protectant spray when straightening my hair which is not every day but at least 3 or 4 days a week with a straightening iron so this would be great to trial on my crazy mane to see if it works better then the current one I am using,Tresemme which I brought from the Wharehouse.It's ok but not great so iv'e been thinking about switching to a different brand.

Yes please would love to give another brand a try. Am currently using a hair oil when I straighten. A spray sounds like a nice and easy way to protect from the extreme heat of my straighteners

I always blow dry my hair as my hair is very thick and dense that without blow-drying it it takes hours to dry naturally - and it usually results in headaches. Would love to try this heat protection product - currently using the tresemme one.

So interesting to see that the poll is so close - almost half the amount of people don't use heat protection! I do, but I'm not sure if it works, or if it's just pretty smelling water..My hair is already damaged so it could be that my current heat protector isn't repairing it, but stopping it from getting worse - which I'm happy with as I style my hair every day!

I use a heat protectant spray but my hair still seems frizzy after using heat on it.

I use a VO5 heat protector spray, mostly because it smells good... haha and generally I remember AFTER I've straightened my hair that I haven't put it in. My hair still ends up a little frazzled on about day 2 after straightening though. Schwarzkopf have some amazing products & this is definitely one I'd be keen to try :) Yes please. Thanks x
