We're laying great foundations this week, and it's not just prepping and creating a beautiful base with our skin that's vital for a finished look.
If you've ever tried to put lipstick over less than smooth lips you'll know the resulting finish will be far from perfect. Your lipstick will dry, feather, crack and wear off quickly. You need to prime your lips first, and ideally this should be an ongoing routine.
Begin by regularly (and gently) exfoliating your lips. You can use the lip balm and soft toothbrush trick or a lip sugar scrub to gently exfoliate your lips using small circular motions. Exfoliation is important to remove excess oil and dead skin.
Next you'll want to ensure your lips are ultra hydrated, especially if you're using lipstick which can be drying.
Living Nature's Lip Hydrator features Manuka Honey to deeply hydrate and condition your pout and Mica to give lips a healthy sheen, and natural sun protection. It promises to treat your lips with its luxurious application and richness along with antimicrobial and anti-oxidant advantages, long-lasting suppleness and soothing benefits.
They're in the BR office right now and we have to say - they look lovely. But as always, we're going to be looking for new homes for these goodies, so if this is a trial team you'd be interested in why not comment below and tell us your thoughts on prepping and priming your lips; we might just send you one to review!

Going into winter I seem to be getting extremely dry lips. I'm trying out a few lip balms at the moment. None are really doing the trick other than my Dior Creme de Rose. But as that is discontinued I'm excited about this one.
