Do you like to be the first to try a product?

There are two types of people in this life.  Those that want to be the first to try, and those that want to wait and read reviews first.  The first type is outside the Apple store 3 days before the latest iPhone is released.  The second kind wait until the reviews are in.

We're sure we have both types of people here at BR - but what kind do we have more of?

We're putting the latest Moisture Mist formulation - the Gentle Cleansing Oil to the test - BEFORE it's official release on July 17th!

If you're new to oil cleansers the concept can be a bit odd.  Those that have already discovered, and fallen in love with cleansing oils, will no doubt think of them as the superhero of facial cleansers.  They not only cleanse the skin, they do what many other gentle cleansers can't - they thoroughly remove make up.  You might be wondering how on earth slathering oil on your face can clean it right?  We know it seems backwards but read on!

Your skin is always producing and secreting sebum, even when it feels dry and flaky it's still producing natural oils.  If your cleanser is too harsh, it will not only clean your face, but strip it of natural oils - your skin then thinks it's not making enough and begins to overproduce oil.  Now if you have oily or acne prone skin you're probably thinking the last thing you would want to do is add more oil.  This is where a little scientific premise comes in.  Like dissolves like.  So when you use a cleansing oil, the oils in the product dissolve and remove all the built up dirty oil and replace it with fresh, nourishing oil.

How do you clean with oil?  Simple, you dispense 2-3 pumps onto the palms of dry hands and gently massage over your dry face,  You then wet your face to emulsify the cleansing oil and rinse thoroughly with water.

The Moisture Mist Gentle Cleansing Oil gently removes all makeup and deep impurities from your skin.  It leaves your skin feeling fresh, clean and smooth and is fragrance and colour free, so perfect for those with sensitive skin.

So tell us - new products, are you the first to try or do you usually wait for reviews?  When purchasing staple products, like cleansers, do you always head towards your tried and true products, scared to spend on something new in case you don't like it?  Or, are you like a moth to a flame with even just tiniest bit of newness, new packaging or a newly formatted products for example?

Most importantly - why do you want to put the Moisture Mist Gentle Cleansing Oil to the test?

I am so so in love with cleansing oils, but I have yet to choose a brand to settle down into a long-term relationship with, so I'd love to give this one a shot and see if it's a keeper!

I've never tried a cleansing oil. I have oily skin so would love to see how this works with it

Interesting product, I haven't tried oil cleansers - would definitely like to give this one ago.

I would love to try this. I'm always keen to try out new products, I just cant afford to. Im always keen to find something better then what im using, I am loving my za cleansing oil at the moment but it would be nice to see if this is just as good or even better.

Sometimes I want to be first and other times I don't mind waiting - it depends what the product is! I haven't tried a cleansing oil before. I have the Za waiting to open soon. I've wondered if cleansing oil would be nice on my dry skin. I'd love to try it.

I haven't used a cleansing oil before but I've heard heaps about them. I'm the type that sticks to what I know when it comes to cleansers. Would love to try this product

I have tried the Trilogy cleansing balm, which I love and is a thicker consistency than an oil. However, I think an oil would be better suited to my skin type, and easier to use and massage into the skin. I was tempted to try the dermalogica cleansing oil, however it's a little more expensive than the trilogy balm. I would love to try the new Moisture Mist Cleansing Oil, once trying it if I liked it, it would become my regular product. I love Moisture Mist's makeup, especially the dual control foundation. I would be interested to see how their skincare is.

I love trying new things. I will re-purchase a product a few times if its really good but mostly after that I will try something new, just cant help myself. I have a couple of cleansing oil's on the go at the moment and I really like how they make my skin feel so hydrated afterwards. I love to try Shiseido's cleansing oil out, plot it against the other ones I'm using :-)

I don't believe I've ever tried anything from Moisture Mist, though I do think of Moisture Mist and ZA as similar brands (forgive me if I'm wrong but they're owned by the same company I think). I love trying new products right away, but it's not always too good on my wallet haha! I have tried a cleansing oil before and I LOVED it - perfect to melt away makeup and moisturize skin without clogging my pores. Even though I have combination skin, oily in my t-zone with dry patches, I don't shy away from products like this as I do still like to make sure my skin is well moisturized.

I love oil and balm cleansers. Even though I have found my holy grail (Lush Ultrabland) I have found myself flirting with other brands recently. So yes! I would love to try this out. I'm happy to be one of the first to try it and see how it compares to the other oils I have tried of late.

I'm not usually one for standing in a line to get the first iphone...but make it a new beauty product and I'm keen to dive in. I would love to try the Moisture mist gentle cleansing oil - it'll be the second cleansing oil I've used so far. The last one wasn't so great with removing makeup, hopefully this one will stand up to the test!

5th July, 2017

Ooh yes I'd love to try this! I currently use the Za oil cleanser and really enjoy it. Since they are sister companies, I'd love to trial this one to see how it compares.

I would love the opportunity to try the new Moisture Mist gentle cleansing oil. I have never tried an oil cleanser before. I have oily skin and as you stated above, we tend to shy away from this sort of product. So, I am interested in putting your theory to the test. Will it help? I hope so!

I love new products! Never used a cleasing oil but love the moisture mist foaming cleanser. Would love to try this. My skin is super dry right now.
