Can Press-On Nails EVER Look Natural?

Back in my university years, a big night out wasn't complete without a set of press-on nails.  You know the kind right?  The poor gal's gel nails.  Sure there are some positives to press-on nails.  You don't need to pay big bucks as you would at a salon.  You don't need to head back to said salon if a nail comes loose.  There's also no UV exposure.

But the negatives.  Gosh.  I haven't used press-on nails in over 10 years because my memory of them goes as follows;

  • Heading to local chemist, hmming and ahhing over garish colours before settling on...French Tips.
  • Trying to size match the fake nails to my own odd shaped nails.
  • Settling for 'that'll have to do' on at least 3 nails.
  • Applying the sort-of size matched nails using the world's runniest glue.
  • Trying not to flick off nails while handling money or trying to get my ID from my wallet.
  • Waking up the next day to find several nails missing and the remaining ones hanging on for dear life.
  • Spending the next week picking off glue remnants and promising my nails I will never do it to them again.

Is it really worth going through all of that, just to rock an unnatural looking set of plastic nails?!

Well, guess what?  Times have changed.  YES.  We are entering a new era of false nails.  Imagine if you will, press on nails that are high quality and have a UV Gel finish, making them durable and chip resistant. Then imagine the non-damaging glue can be applied in two ways - to allow for long (10+ days) or short (1- 3 days) wear.  You can even re-use the nails if you've used them for a shorter period!

But do these nails look good?  Do they look natural?

Check 'em out for yourself.

I love the look of the Belle nails from classic collection. I never wear much polish as my nails are short so I would love to give these a go.

I’ve had press-on’s a couple of times I always prefer them to ones I get done from a salon. I’ve tried a couple of brands, some work some very much don’t work but they’re getting better! Would definitely love to trial some more to see what they’re like now and if they work for me

I seem to have a love hate relationship with false nails so would love to see if Teddy Lane can restore my faith! In my line of work they would get a good work out! I would love to try Sparkling Grape from the Every Day Range, the bling nail looks fab!

I'd love to try these, they look so fantastic. I think my last experience with press on nails was when I was around 14 years old (I'd like to say that was 10 years ago but it's closer to 25). They were terrible things that looked great but were adhered with a bit of double sided tape, no longevity at all. I've stuck to polish ever since. If I was lucky enough to trial these I love the look of White Linen.

Oh my gosh, I have not tried press-on nails since I was an early teen! I did not realise you could still get them, nor that they had improved in design and application since then. I would be curious to try these. The Doris Plum design looks really cool.

So hard to choose! Finally decided on Sodalite, they look amazing. I would love to try them.

Wow they look pretty good. I haven't used false nails since the 70s! oooh I love the Amethyst from the jeweled collection.

These look great. I have terrible nails that break all the time. Love the look of the Parisian ones

Being in the public eye having well manicured hands is important. I love the look of Rosebud as its suttle with a little edgyness to match my personality.

Oh the classics are just beautiful - love Belle or Daniella. The last time I tried stick-on nails were more sticker nails. Just a thin flimsy thing you try to stick onto your nail in intermediate school! I don't have the time to do my nails so stick on ones would be perfect!

I've never worn press on nails before, just because I'm terrified if they ruin my nails and they are already weak. I'm looking forward to reading the reviews on these.

These look great! I'm a nail tech so love to put them to the test! Quartz Pyramid look awesome!

For me I love the Daniella in the classic collection - some of the others are awesome too however for me the classic would be perfect - Love the idea too.

Yasss Keen to try these babies! Love matte nails so would definitely love to try blue mango x

Wow these look awesome. If I'm not selected for a trial I will definitely be checking in for the reviews. My favourite is in the coming soon category -orchid gem. However if that's not available I also like the look of Parisian in the 9 to 5 collection
