Less than 5 months ago we wrote Do You Know Your BB From Your CC? - the ultimate guide to those 'alphabet creams' that are flooding the market.  Back then we were up to DDs and guess what?  Less than 6 months later, they've only gone and done it to us again.

Ladies, we give you - the EE Cream.

Prestige brand Estee Lauder released the EE Cream at the beginning of October.  Can you guess what it's full name is?  We bet you can't!  The Enlighten Even Effect Skintone Corrector SPF 30.  One thing's for sure, EE is definitely more catchy than EEESCSPF30.

Now before your consumer cynicism kicks in, this cream does seem to be different than any other on the market - tackling discolouration, hyper-pigmentation and dark spots by breaking the cycles that cause them. Did you know that everyday your skin is under attack from UV Rays and pollution?  And that while we constantly told to get our beauty sleep, hyper-pigmentation and discolouration are actually made worse overnight?

So what the clever sausages at Estee Lauder have done, is create a cream full of an ingredient called Baicalin that stops the irritation of the skin caused by pollution and the sun. If the skin doesn't react to the irritation of the nasties in the air then it won't change colour, darken or blemish. The cream also contains pigments and luminescent particles to help even the skin tone and add a youthful and healthy glow to the face.

We'd pretty much decided we were over the alphabet cream phase, but we're actually pretty curious about this one - how about you?  What are your thoughts on the continuation and evolution of BBs, CCs, DDs and now EEs? Are you excited with each new letter or is it time marketing execs find a new hook?

This product actually sounds pretty interesting, yes am over the whole alphabet craze, I guess it's easy to promote a EE cream than a Enlighten Even Effect Skintone corrector!!! :)

They need to make a BBCCDDEE cream that does it all. I would challenge any of them to come up with a XX product. This product sounds interesting. I wonder how it performs on sensitive skin

I reckon BB cream is really good I'd be keen to try the EE cream as long as it's not full of too many chemicals :)

FF next lol! Love Estée Lauder products and this looks pretty awesome. Going to their counter at a Farmers tomorrow, wonder if I can score a tester? I really love my BB and CC creams but this sounds quite a bit different. Did I miss the DD one?

I would not have looked at it in the shop.I think it's silly really but reading this it does sound pretty good

So many creams!

Wondering if they are talking about bra sizes...???? Sounds like a good one to try though. Having "mature" skin anything that will brighten and perhaps make me look younger is worth a crack. Hands up if there's a trial...

Ohhh I so want to try this, it sounds like my dream cream - It's on my shopping list for next week...WOOHOO

Someone needs to play on this double letter cream and market a DD cream for our chesticles :)

Nothing is better than my BB Cream. In saying that though the EE Cream sounds like an amazing product.

EA cream. Hmm mm at least there not named some overboard chemistry word. But I think it's time to get an update.

I think they are missing a letter K at the end . EEK cream is way better sounding :).
