Do you want to break the daily hair wash habit?

Who washes their hair every day?  A few of you right?  And let me guess - you would label your hair as 'oily'.  Especially the roots?

The daily hair wash trap is just that.  A trap.  A cycle you get stuck in because to break it you need to rock majorly greasy roots for a day or two in the hopes of rebalancing our sebum-overloaded scalp. And well, we don't want to go about our day looking less than fresh right?  So we keep on washing.

And, the majority of us 'I have to wash my hair every day because the roots get so oily' girls probably notice the lengths and ends of our hair are quite dry.  Why?  Because the daily product use drys out hair, but the oily scalp keeps the roots well, oily.  What's a grease monkey to do?!

The new L'Oréal Extraordinary Clay range consists of four products containing 3 refined clays.  The range is designed to rebalance oily roots while hydrating the lengths - all without weighing your hair down.  And the products themselves?  Interesting.  Very, very interesting.

You see, unlike most hair care routines you begin your Extraordinary Clay journey with the treatment, the Extraordinary Clay Pre-Shampoo Mask.  This mask is applied to the roots and left for 5 - 10 minutes. It will deeply absorbs oil and purify the scalp.  During this time it'll harden, just like a clay facial mask!  You then rinse this out while massaging your head to get rid of all of the product and follow with the Extraordinary Clay Shampoo and Conditioner.

For really oily hair, or hair that's starting to get a bit slick between washes those clever L'Oréal peeps have created the Extraordinary Clay Dry Shampoo.  L'Oréal's first dry shampoo for oily, fine hair uses the cleansing power of those 3 Refined Clays to absorb oil at the root and instantly refresh hair between shampoos for clean-feeling, lightweight hair with no visible residue.

Do you have oily hair and dry lengths?  What do you think about a hardening clay hair mask?  Have you used anything similar before?

My roots are super oily so would love to try this out.

I don't wash my hair everyday but I do have very oily roots, have done ever since I remember. And very dry ends. Would love to try this!

If I didn't have to wash daily....sigh.the dream! Especially with a baby in the way!

26th June, 2017

I wash my hair every 2nd morning, definitely can't go amy longer. By the end of the 2nd day my hair is limp and the roots all oily. This sounds great, the product not the look of my hair..

Not me but my partner! He washes every day and complains how greasy his hair is. I'm like ITS BECAUSE YOU WASH IT EVERY DAY.

26th June, 2017

This is all me! I'm stuck in that oily cycle of washing it every day and then my roots are oily by nighttime, so i'm forced to wash it again! My hair is so lifeless from this now but my top priority is to have clean hair; or at least roots that 'look' clean :)

My hair definitely fits this description! So, so oily, but such dry and damaged tips from blow drying and colouring. I've only found one shampoo that lets me skip a day between washes, but even then most of the time the oil starts building up and I need a dry shampoo top up to get me through the second day.

My hair is quite long (down to the middle of my back), too, so the washing process is a hell of a chore! I'd love to be able to get away with washing it less often and have the oil actually stay away - what a world that would be!

I've tried some hair masks from Lush too but recently just changed to only washing my roots and conditioning the lengths - this seems to have worked a bit so far but my roots still get oily pretty fast.

I have very fine hair which is mostly straight (slight wave to it), as a result it gets oily every single day. It's a little below my shoulders so the oil has no chance of getting all the way down the lengths of my hair, but my hair in general does get very limp by the next morning - possibly because I run my fingers through it a lot! A hard clay mask sounds interesting.. I like the concept because if it hardens then it won't be drippy - always a pain having drippy masks!!!

I have very oily hair that I feel like if I don't wash my hair everyday, my hair just looks dirty!

20th June, 2017

Oh yes my ends are dry and frizzy and the scalp gets oily and I run my fingers through my hair and feel the grease while inspecting the ends which are dry and brittle. My hair type for sure!

19th June, 2017

I have to wash my hair at least every other day otherwise my hair looks like it's been doused in oil. To make matters worse the ends are dry and flyaway so I have to be careful what products I use to stop it looking worse. After numerous nit treatments (thanks kids!) and dyed hair, my scalp also needs some much needed TLC!

Ooh this is an interesting range! I wash my hair everyday sadly which means going through hair products (shampoo & conditioner) way too quickly, it also means home DIY hair dyes don't last as long as they should. If I don't wash it, my hair just looks limp & dirty on top, and my ends are dry. I seriously have been looking my whole life for a shampoo & conditioner that is specifically for oily roots & dry ends - I find it odd that no-one has created something before! This sounds really interesting, especially the pre-shampoo clay mask!!

18th June, 2017

This trial definitely sounds like a bit of me! I wash my hair every single day because I feel like a grease ball if I don't! Getting up at 5am every day is bad enough, let alone washing my hair for 20 mins in the shower

18th June, 2017

Would love to try this, especially the mask & the dry shampoo!!! I love dry shampoo, it extends the days between washes!
