L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Smooth Intense Shampoo Review

I found this to be a pretty good shampoo. It was quite clarifying and definitely made my hair less greasy and left it feeling nice and soft and not dry. However since I already have pretty smooth, straight, limp, thin hair this didn't do a lot for me. I'm not too sure if it is just because my hair already is straight and smooth or if it doesn't actually do what it says and calm frizz.

Trialled this shampoo and conditioner, and find it was just as standard as any other supermarket shampoo. Did not make my hair feel amazing, or smooth down with out the use of a leave in treatment after washing and conditioning. Although it is weightless like it claims to be.

I received this to trial in a Black Box and was pretty excited as I'm always interested in trying products that claim to give me smooth locks. I have damaged, coloured hair that tends to get oily roots and dry lengths, and while it's naturally straight it does get it's fair share of frizz and flyaways.

I really liked the shampoos fragrance, similar enough to salon products that I can fool myself into thinking it's very fancy. The packaging is simple, an orange functional plastic squeeze bottle that's easy to use and store. The shampoo itself is actually similar in colour.

I found it lathered really easily without needing a lot of product. After washing my hair felt nice and clean but not squeaky like some shampoos leave it. I've been using this in conjunction with the matching conditioner and together, however I haven't been noticing any difference whatsoever in anti-frizziness in comparison to my regular shampoo.

This is a nice enough shampoo, but nothing about it really impressed me and for the price it is I wouldn't repurchase it full price although I may purchase on special.

My hair is super dry and always has a bit of a frizz to it, I don't mind it, I kinda work with it when I can so it's not a super big deal, but when I got sent this shampoo/conditioner combo I was excited to see if it could tame my hair which sadly it can not. Haven't noticed my hair being any more 'shiny' or 'smooth' like it claims. Shampoo does smell really nice though! So that's good. I will keep using the product till its finished since it was free. :)

I found this product really easy to apply, lavers up really well except it made my hair extremely dry and found I had a flakey scalp when finishing my product trial.. I haven't enjoyed my experience with this product and would definitely never use again

The packaging is very attractive and I love the colour of the container.

The consistency of the product is very runny, not to watery but rather loose and a yellow/gold in colour. The smell is nice and a little seems to go a long way.

My review for this product is not the greatest however as the product did not do what it was meant to for my hair type being thick and course. It didn't seem to tame or smooth out my hair as promised, however my hubby used it, he has fine thin hair, and it did wonders for his, making it manageable and sitting nice and smooth so I personally don't recommend for thick course hair types. On the up side it didn't make my hair oily or greasy and it didn't react with my scalp like alot of other shampoos do!

The product is very simple to use and I loved the fact that the packaging is wide more than thick as it fit more nicely in our shower caddy

Over all I wouldn't buy this product and will be sticking with my shampoo suited best for my hair type

I was looking forward to trying this product, as my hair gets a lot of frizz and flyaways from blow drying and straightening. This product was ok; it didn't adversely affect my hair in that it didn't make it oilier or too dry. My hair is quite fine, and I didn't like what the product did for this type of hair. It made my hair seem thicker and having more volume. This could be ok for some people, but it made it more difficult to manage for me. It was fine enough to run my hand through easily before and I couldn’t do this easily after using the product. I didn't notice any difference in terms of frizz or flyaways either so I didn't feel there was any benefit to counteract the harder to maintain hair. I didn’t notice any difference in shine either which I’ve seen from argan oil. I wouldn't use this product again, but it may suit someone with another hair type better.

I was really looking forward to trialling this shampoo and conditioner but found I was left wanting. The packaging is great and the top is flat so you can get every last drop out. You open it and it smells fabulous. Fruity fresh and clean. I have quite long hair and the shampoo leaves it really clean for the 3 days between washes without my hair starting to look oily. Sadly that's where it ends. My hair is very fine and the shampoo leaves it feeling tangled, brittle and a little worse for it. Not something I'd continue to use.

I'd noticed that this shampoo (and conditioner) had received pretty good reviews here on BR before deciding to give it a go, which was a motivator. However i'm not at all impressed.

My roots get pretty oily, and they're starting to get oily again too soon after washing with this shampoo. Usually I would wash my hair every 3-5 days, but with this shampoo I feel like it needs to be washed every 2nd day. It does initially after washing however, make the top half of my hair look and feel reasonably smooth. This is a pleasant enough shampoo to use, it has a sweet fruity scent, kind of like apple.

I'm not a fan of this shampoo as I don't like to wash my hair so often because the lengths are very dry and damaged. Also I like the matching conditioner even less.. So i'm a bit disappointed with these, but there are some other shampoos & conditioners from the L'oreal Elvive range that I do really like.
