Best Sleep Balm I've Ever Tried

I'm super excited to review this sleep balm. I was a bit dubious at first as I thought it would be just another one of those gimmicky natural products. Anyway, I got one in my beauty subscription boxes and I fell absolute head in heels love with it. I struggle to get to sleep sometimes due to studying and having my head full of technical stuff, so I have been using this sleep balm to settle me in for the night and get me to sleep. The Lavender and Bergamot have nice relaxing properties that help your body wind down. The smell is just heaven and I love the feeling of the balm on my skin. Its easy to apply and I really like how handy the little containers are. You can buy this in a small tin or a big tin, I have the small one, but once this is finished, will definitely be buying a big one. I apply it to my temple, in a downward sweep and massage for about half a minute and then in circular movements at the side of my head. I can feel it working even when I'm massaging and it just feels so good. I love it and I have also purchased other products in their range.

He he he totally hun. Okay, so its not going to knock you out cold, but it definitely relaxes you and I find myself falling asleep while I'm massaging it in. I've also bought the headache one and some of the others, can't wait to try those too :-)

Cute tin, highly effective product

I've become a little obsessed with badger balms of late and valid reason too, I have not come across anything that is false to their statements.

The sleep balm is wonderful for those nights when sleep just won't come, or if your too stressed to just let go and relax. The yellow balm inside the beautiful tin is jam packed with essential oils. Rubbing it makes the oils warm which increasing its potency.

At night I rub a small about on my temples, wrist and neck line, I sleep on my wrists so I go off to nod land pretty quickly once I start inhaling this. As stated I would probably be less heavy handed if I had oily skin but luckily I don't and use of the balm doesn't leave any oily mess or reside even on bed linen, no trace of it being on me except the lingering aroma.

Found recently since I started to use it due to the hubby snoring keeping me awake that his snoring in fact has weaken, not sure if the scent is effecting his sleep pattern to a more comfortable easy one but whatever it is I hope it don't stop soon.

This is very good. I have trouble switching off at night and end up tossing in bed. This sounds very promising and would be keen to try it out. I'll be off to Farmer's to get one.

Wow, great review!! I am so tempted by this - anything to ensure a good night's sleep! And that's good to know it doesn't leave a residue on the sheets - I've got dry skin too, so it should work the same in that regard. Off to Farmers I go... hehe

Mister Sandman......

As someone what struggles to sleep. Someone that has tried almost everything and is on sleeping pills every night, I needed to try this as well.

The wee tin pot is super cute! Once it's finished I'll wanna use it for another purpose. It's easier to twist the lid off than just pulling it off.

The product inside is very firm! It's cold here in the Deep South so that might change in summer. I have to dig my finger nail along the top to get the product out.

The routine of rubbing it onto temples, onto your chest and under your nose must help to the soothing before sleep. Husband quite enjoyed me slapping it on him before he went to snooze land.

I do enjoy the sleep balm. It's not the knock out I need, a hammer would be good I'm guessing :( yes I will use again, so will the farmer hubby (even if he says no!) Lavender is calming to me so I try and do deep breaths with it.

I have skin that reacts to perfumes, but it's totally fine with this

Tips: Put on a tissue inside your pillow case if you have sensitive skin. You can still smell it

Cool tip about the tissue inside the pillow! I wouldn't have thought of doing that.

I'd try it. It's not expensive. I would also suggest grabbing a bottle of their lavender oil. Sprinkle a few drops around your room. Both will help. Better Han sleeping pills

As someone who also struggles with sleep this review was really reassuring to read as I was a little skeptical it would work. I now am thinking I'll go and buy it :)

Didn't work for me

I have used this regularly for the past little while but don't find it helps me get to sleep at all. I usually just use pure lavender oil drops on my pillow and find this relaxes much more and aids sleep. I don't find the scent of this is strong enough and have trouble smelling it when it is on. Maybe I'm to used to the strong lavender smell.

I probably wouldn't repurchase or recommend as just plain old lavender oil works a treat for me!

Tips: I use on temples and neck.

Yeah I would, I have a lot of trouble getting to sleep and wake numerous times a night. I really hoped this would help but unfortunately it didn't.

Being a chronic insomniac I was curious about this but will continue using lavender as opposed to trying this. Super glad I read your review so I can spend my $10 elsewhere.

Sense of well being

I absolutely love these tins they are so cute, vintage type tins and fit perfectly in your handbag or in your bedside drawer.

I just rub a little under nose , temples and on my chest.

It has a sweet slight lavender smell to it, but it's not overpowering at all, it's quite pleasant The aroma really calms and relaxes you, and puts you at peace.

I have been using it every night for at least 2 weeks now and I find it helps to settle my mind, It doesn't put you too sleep but aids to relax you into the transition of sleep. I'm one of those people who goes to bed and my mind just ticks over anything and everything, since I've been using this my mind had definitely been less active. I use it on my little one aswell to help him off to the land of dreams and he just loves it.

The balm is quite moisturising aswell, A little goes a long way once emulsified in your fingers, this product will last you a very long time!

I really love this product and swear by it, for helping me unwind from a long busy day.

Cute, Calming and Comforting

I will admit I purchased the Badger Sleep Balm just because the packaging was cute and it was on special, but I really love this product!

I have now used every night for the last week and I'm not sure if it has improved my sleep but it certainly relaxes me before sleepy time. Even my other half likes to use it now!

I really love the fragrance as it isn't to over powering and I have always loved the smell over lavender, it reminds me of my Nana.

Tips: Gently rub into your temples, your wrists and a little over your sinuses.

Sleep balm that does the trick!

I received a full size sample of the Badger Lavender and Bergamot Sleep Balm in a Goodie Box subscription awhile back. It immediately sounded appealing to me as I love Aromatherapy products. The packaging is cute and looks a bit vintage. I struggle to fall asleep most nights as I work full time and come home to an active toddler and find it hard to wind down most nights. I applied the Badger Balm as directed. It has a really lovely Lavender and Bergamot mix scent. I also tried dabbing a bit under my nose and found it more effective. I definitely felt more relaxed so I could drift off to sleep. I use this most nights and do feel like I sleep better due to the aromatherapy oils in the product.

Tips: I recommend adding a dab below the nose as well as the temples.

Sleep Balm

I have been testing this on my temples (I didn't want to apply this all over the recommended areas straight away) and I'm so glad I didn't. Every time I use this sleep balm on my temples, the next day I wake up with little pimple like spots on both sides. I don't know what they are but for my skin to react like that each time I use the sleep balm, it's telling me it's not good for my skin. And that's actually a shame because I found the subtle scent to be rather calming but it just doesn't agree with my skin for some reason. I do still enjoy sniffing it before bed though lol. It really is a soothing scent.

Comfort in a tin.

I received my Badger Sleep Balm in a GoodieBox, and have reached for it over times of stress, where I struggle to get to sleep, or have a good nights sleep. Even simply reading the words 'Sleep Balm' begins the relaxation process. The tin is compact and discreet, but contains a decent amount of product. The product itself is dense and solid, but is easy to spread onto the skin. I apply it to my temples alongside a little sniff of the tin itself. I have also applied this on my wrists as I sleep with my hands by my face. The scent is pleasant and relaxing without being overpowering. Unlike many other sleep aid products, there is more than just lavender involved. My nose can be a little sensitive at time and it doesn't make me sneeze.

I'm sure there is an element of mind over matter, but this product does work. Compared to my prior state, the Badger Sleep Balm helps me to relax and calm my mind and body. It is a lovely step to add in before bed, to remind myself to switch off from the day and not worry about tomorrow. A little goes a long way and the price is very affordable. At times of heightened stress I did need to combine this with the Rescue Remedy drops and I would recommend an natural supplement over this for anyone with extreme stress, although the two products are the ultimate combination. I will continue to use the Badger Sleep Balm at times of stress. This product would also be a lovely, thoughtful gift for somebody going through a stressful time.

Tips: A small dab under the nose would have even better results.

Bergamot Balm

I got this product from Mighty Ape as a swap for something else that was out of stock. It was $9.95.

I had tried another brand of balm and was keen to see how this compared.

When it arrived I was surprised the tin was very small (12ml).

The small tin it comes in is burgundy and quite cute, with the Badger logo on it. It is easy to open and access the product.

The product is waxy in appearance and consistency, and melts into your skin on application. It absorbs quickly leaving a gentle lavender fragrance on the skin. There is no spillage or waste.

As I have been doing with the similar product, I have been applying it to my temples when getting into bed and find it quite soothing and relaxing, but I can’t hand-on-heart say it helps me sleep, in fact the first night I tried it, I didn’t sleep all night.

I also put some on my wrists when I’m home during the day and inhale it every now and again because I like the smell and am finding it quite calming. I have to be honest, aside from the size of the tin, there is absolutely nothing to distinguish it from the comparable product, except the comparable product comes in a larger pot, so is better value. I guess I could argue that this smaller sized tin is more portable and easy to carry in a bag or even a pocket!

I wouldn’t buy it again knowing there is a more economical product that is almost identical on the market. If I were to recommend it I would also have to point out the comparable brand.
