Smoothing

I like l'Oreal products and this one, like most, is very good. It comes in recognisable L'oreal packaging, and the bottle containing the product is a heavy bottle with a dropper top.

The product is thick, which I like, and opaque, but drops easily onto my skin. It has a mild pleasant scent that is hard to define.

I've been using it twice daily, dropping a few drops onto my face and neck and massaging into my skin. my skin feels soft and hydrated after using it, and my skin is looking a bit fresher. My tone looks more even, my skin feels softer, and I think it looks brighter. It does not irritate the sensitive areas of my face.

I luckily have a second bottle and am keen to see how my skin looks once I get to the end of that - I will update in a comment.

I really like this product. It is $35 per 30ml bottle and this seems a fair price for a very good product. I do recommend trying it.

Tips: Massage a few drops into face and neck morning and night after cleansing.

12% Vitamin C

I’ve been wanting for a while to try a Vitamin C serum after my skin has been exposed to a lot of summer sun and this is supposed to brighten overall. I have to say though I’m a little underwhelmed. Yes it’s from L’Oréal so it will always smooth my skin but I didn’t really see any real visible difference after using it am and pm for more than 2 months. It probably did give it a wee bit more even tone however I look at this one larger age spot I have and it’s still pretty visible. My pores have reduced though but that could also be from other skincare products I’m using including a glycolic toner.

The product itself is a nice texture with a thick-ish serum from a dropper. I need a squeeze of the dropper and then a bit more for one application. There’s a pleasant orange blossom smell I get. What I didn’t like was that about 3/4 through the bottle the whole lot turned orange in colour including any amount I spilled on the bottle that had dried out (yucky). The box said the change in colour wouldn’t affect the efficacy of the serum but who knows.

It won’t put me off using Vitamin C again but I may try an Olay one instead of this for brightening.

I love this serum !

This was part of my Christmas Beauty Box and a serum I had been meaning to try so was a plus plus for me. I have dry skin that intends to look a little drab so it needed some help that's for sure. I used 3 drops every morning prior to moisturising my skin and lately after using for three weeks daily I have noticed the age marks in my skin lightening and my skin certainly looks so much clearer and brighter.. it is am easy product to apply and the container has a little dropper as part of the lid which is great. The serum is an orangy colour and a very faint scent which is ok. I haven't noticed any difference to wrinkles but with my skin looking so much brighter I feels really good about using this serum.

Tips: I use a little on my neck too.

Awesome Product

I was looking into the best products for ageing and very sensitive skin. I watched a plastic surgeon specialist who highly recommended Vit C & Retinol products for ageing skin. I headed off to Chemist Warehouse & bought this after reading lots of positive reviews. I love this product and have been recommending it in FB Groups im in. I also saw this advertised on TV and thought I would give it a try as I was looking for something to sort my skin & hopefully delay signs of ageing. The consistency is great & smells great too. It's a thickest serum you only need 2-3 drops. I use it on my face, neck & declotage after cleansing in the morning only as I use either Niacinamide, Argireline or Retinol in Evening. I've been using it for couple months now in the morning only, then use my moisturiser then sunscreen. I've noticed my skin texture is better my skin is so much softer and not itchy like it was as it is helping moisturise. I've not noticed a huge change in the small amount of wrinkles but my skin looks plumper so I'm hoping continued use will keep them at bay. I'm due to buy a 2nd bottle of this as it's made a huge difference to my skin.

Tips: Apply every morning & evening after cleansing follow manufacturer's g guidelines and be consistent to achieve desired results. Let it soak into skin for 5/10 mins before applying any further products

I usually use a vitamin c serum on my skin but the one I like is quite expensive, and so I have had a bit of time away from it. I saw this pop up and had to try a cheaper alternative to my usual.

The appealing thing about this was the price point, I found it quite an affordable alternative.

The size was decent and for the quantity received seems to be a reasonable for the outlay on price. It’s a good consistency and not too thick a solution which will add to the longevity of the product.

The application of the product is smooth and readily absorbed. It smoothes and softens, but doesn’t clog skin. It creates a subtle layer that feels dewy and appears bright.

With usage I feel this has perked my skin up immensely regarding the brightness alone. My skin appears to have a fresh face look versus the usual dull tone.

Definitely a more affordable swap in my routine with decent benefits in my appearance.

New addition to the morning routine

I’ve been using a vitamin c serum in my morning routine for a few years now (for brightness and skin tone) so I’ve tried a number of different options. This one really surprised me! I didn’t find it sticky at all and it just soaked right into my skin - very impressed! It’s a high % of vitamin c so I know it’s doing a world of good and all of the other goodies in this product are such a great bonus! And I think the packaging looks super slick as well. This will become a regular part of my routine for sure.

Tips: Use a Hyaluronic acid on damp skin beforehand to really get the most out of it!

L'oreal Paris Revitalist Clinical Brightening Seru

I have been using this serum for just under a month. The serum has a lightweight, non-sticky consistency. I have been shaking up the bottle before applying, otherwise the serum doesn't seem to mix properly and comes out clear and orange. The packaging recommends applying 2 - 3 drops. 2 drops was enough (as I ended up just focusing the product on my dark spots). I did struggle with the dropper a bit as it didn't seem to pick up much product - and since the bottle is not clear it's hard to gauge how much product is in there.

After using for a few days, I was a bit surprised to notice orange product in my hairline one afternoon! I realised it was the serum - this is why I ended up focusing on the dark areas away from my hairline/brows. It also meant that I changed from applying the product morning and night to night only unfortunately (unless I was working from home and wouldn't see anyone!). I also noticed that the serum had a strong, almost unpleasant scent on a makeup remover pad when I'd be washing my face at night (after applying it earlier in the day) which was a put off putting.

Despite this, it felt pleasant on my skin and there was no noticeable scent while it was on my skin. It didn't clog my pores which I really appreciated.

I will keep using the serum but I would not purchase it again. There are serums that are just as nice/nicer (and provide the same or better results) at the same or better price points. I think my dark spots may have faded a bit, however my pores look the same and overall my skin doesn't look brighter.

Tips: Focus on any dark spots/centre of your face. Start with 3 drops and cut down to 2 if you can see the orange tinge on your skin.

Not for me

I was very excited to trial this as I have tried a couple different vitamin c serums. In terms of packaging, its easy to use and I like that its not a clear blttle to extend the shelf life. The texture I really liked, it felt nice on my face. I have quite sensitive skin and this was much stronger than other vit c serums I've tried so after a couple of days using it twice a day I had to cut down to once a day because it was a bit much for my face. I'm not sure that I saw a huge amount of difference in my face after 6 weeks, my face looked a bit more even but not a huge difference. I don't think I would buy this again.

A welcome addition to my routine

As someone who's starting to get a little older and noticing the effects of pre-mature aging, I want to do what I can to slow aging down.

I've been trying this Vit C serum over the last 6 weeks as part of my night routine. I've slowly noticed my skin looking a little smoother, especially the pores on my cheeks looking less obvious.

This serum absorbs quickly into the skin and has a pleasant scent (a very light fragrance). It didn't flare up my sensitive skin either.

It comes in a nice sized bottle with a decent dropper to dispense it.

I will continue to keep this in my daily routine, as I'm keen to see if I can make any further progress.

L'Oreal Paris Revitalift Clinical Vitamin C Serum

When I received the serum it had unfortunately leaked a bit in the box and the product that leaked out had turned a dark orange colour. It says on the packaging that it will begin to turn a yellow/orange colour when it is exposed to too much light but this doesn't reduce the effectiveness of the product.

It comes in a glass jar and I really liked the look of the packaging (although I'm not sure how secure it is with it leaking). The only downside for me is that it was that it was obviously still letting some light into the bottle as the serum has continued to yellow inside the bottle - even though I kept it in a dark cupboard while I wasn't using it.

It has a dropper and recommends to use 3-5 drops to your face after cleansing, I found that 3 drops was more than enough for my face and neck. The serum is quite runny and easy to apply. I definitely noticed my skin seeming brighter and more hydrated so I am pleased with the results this far. It does have a fairly strong fragrance which I personally quite liked, but I could see people disliking it too.

In terms of I used the product every morning and I have used up about a quarter of the bottle so far. I am unsure of how much this retails for so I am unsure whether or not it is worth it for the price. I would say it doesn't feel like the best value because it only has a shelf life of 3 months and I wouldn't like to have to repurchase a product that often, but that is just personal preference. I also haven't done much research so maybe this is the norm when it comes to vitamin c serums.

I will definitely continue to use this product and I would recommend it to others as I have enjoyed trialing it. I am going to be on the lookout for a vitamin c serum with a longer shelf life though!
