Trilogy Very Gentle Eye Cream Review

I am so not an eye cream fan, but oh my goodness, have I been missing out. This little pottle is amazing! I have eczema around my eye and am REALLY REALLY cautious about putting anything near it. I'm talking so bad it swells my eyelids almost closed, is red, flakey, and just, horrible!

Very, very cautiously I started using this eye cream and I couldn't be happier. It is super gentle and super calming. Almost immediately I could feel it working. It didn't sting, but felt a little cool where I had applied it. It immediately stopped the itching.

Using it religiously every morning and night made a massive difference after just a couple of days. I wish I'd taken a before and after shot because the difference is unbelievable! No more flaking, no more redness and just a little swelling still.

I love this eye cream and will most definitely be using again and again.

(I marked it down one on the "did it do what it said" because I haven't seen any difference in my wrinkles and fine lines BUT that is probably because it's using all it's oomph to fix my eczema!).

Being of a reasonably mature age (slightly over 50) eye creams have become a firm fixture in my arsenal. Not all eye creams work well with my sensitive skin. This one, however, comes up with the goods.

It’s a pale yellow cream, in a 25ml pot. Contains maqui berry, aloe vera, SyriCalm, amongst other natural ingredients. Definitely no adverse reactions.

I used twice daily, a little dab of cream on each eye. This is one of my favourites in the range. A light consistency that doesn’t feel like it drags on the skin, soaks in quickly when gently patted on from outer eye to inner eye, feels cool & reduced some slight puffiness I had one morning. Fine lines are noticeably smoothing out around my eyes so this one's a keeper!

I've been using this twice a day for the last few weeks, and it has been a good enough eye cream, but not a favourite (I won't be buying it again). It's easy to use, but I'm not a fan of it being in a pottle rather than a tube (as with any skincare, given the oxidation). You don't need much around the eyes, as it spreads and absorbs nicely. It does make the fine lines soften after use (as you'd expect with any eye cream, but some do seem to unfortunately dry the eye area out). I have noticed no irritation, which is good given this is for sensitive skin. However, I don't think the moisturising properties last long enough - I notice the skin around my eyes is dry by the end of the day, whereas with other eye creams I've used they seem to last longer. However, I'm in my late 30s, so for younger skin this might be absolutely fine.

This product is a lovely addition to the Very Gentle Sensitive range. The packaging is again, gorgeous and I adore the little black plastic applicators that come with it, no chance of introducing any bugs from fingers! The consistency is thicker than I had expected and I had to restrain myself from overindulging. I find it works better for me at night, either after my nightly routine or I apply an extra dab when I apply the mask weekly. Its rich, hydrating, soothing and yet gentle and cooling. A little amount goes a long way and I feel this product will last ages.
