I first tried this as a free sample from oasis. I adored the smell but I didn't feel like it was quite moisterising enough for my dry skin. Anyway, when they had their sale on for a not quite right batch, I bought two bottles. They were marked down to $5 when the usual price is $50 so I really couldn't resist. The batch has the same ingredients but the texture and smell were not quite up to their usual standard. To me, both batches felt the same on my skin, the cheaper one was just more like a lotion in texture then the thick butter like consistency that the sample product had. The cheaper one still smelt good to me.
I've just used up the whole bottle. I use it just in the morning and use 3 pumps. I do my face, neck top of my chest and also rub the excess into my hands. It feels nice on my skin, not too greasy, and it absorbs quite fast. The bottle lasted me about 6 or 7 weeks which I think is quite reasonable. I love the packaging, it's a pump and as you use it, the product moves up so you don't waste a single drop. It always annoys me when there is a heap of product left in a tube and it's impossible to get to.
My skin feels really good after using this, it did feel moisterised but maybe for my super dry skin, not as moisterised as I would like. Overall, I do think this is a good product, it smells good, it's made in NZ and it has lots of great ingredients in it. I probably won't buy this one at full price but I would definitely use the same brand again, just a different product in their range. If you have normal skin, I would definitely say to give this a go. Oasis give you 3 free samples to try out so why not :)
This is a my holy grail staple spf moisturizer. Anyone who knows me knows I'm a sunscreen fanatic. I'll wear spf indoors on a rainy day. There's so much to love about this spf moisturizer, it's almost completely comprised of natural and organic ingredients, it's not heavy and greasy, barely whitens my skin (I'm a light tan color), has zinc as one of it's two sunscreen agents, it has a spf over 20, the other ingredients in it are ones that are anti-aging and improve the health of your skin, doesn't make me break out, it retails for under $30 if you know where to buy it, it comes in an airless pump bottle and three pumps covers my face, neck and décolletage. Not much that I don't love about this product as I've been using this as a daily staple for the past two years and I wish I started sooner. The only thing about this that would be a con is the other sunscreen agent is p-ethyl hexyl methoxycinnamic acid which isn't organic, there are lighter textured spf moisturizers and an spf of 30 would be a bit more preferable. However, I have not gotten burned when I've worn this during the day. Also I've worn it under makeup any day I was wearing makeup and it hasn't been too heavy or greasy underneath, so I'm happy to continue using this and will plan to repurchase multiple times in years to come.
Tips: Don't rub in the spf as this halves the sun protection, instead apply and pat it on. The whitening will fade in ten minutes max. This is recommended as a primer but I find after time it doesn't help your foundation stay on as well so a primer would be more effective to keeping your foundation in place. This retails on Healthpost for $28.90.
