I received a 2.5ml sample sachet of The Herb Farm Smoothing Exfoliating Powder as a surprise gift in a 2016 Beauty Advent Calendar, along with sample sachets of their Softening Rose Cream Cleanser, Rejuvenating Facial Toning Mist and Nourishing Rose Face Cream.
To use this Exfoliating Powder, simply place a small amount of the powder into the palm of your hand and add 2-3 pumps of cleanser. Mix and apply to your face. I chose to mix mine with a little bit of oil cleanser, instead of using a cream cleanser.
The superfine, light brown powder mixed easily with my oil cleanser and it was easy to apply to my face. The tiny exfoliating particles gave a really nice, thorough exfoliation without being rough or harsh.
This 100% natural Smoothing Exfoliating Powder claims to assist in reducing pore size but as I only had enough for a few uses, I can't comment on whether long-term use would actually have an effect on pore size. Dead skin cells are definitely buffed away to leave my skin feeling smooth and radiant.
I'd put this facial exfoliator in second place on my list of favourite facial exfoliators (with Dedicated to Nature Refine Exfoliator still holding top spot for me) and I'd definitely recommend it!
I was super excited to try this Exfoliant but must admit felt pretty disappointed. The first that gets me is the smell, it just smells so much like chemicals or cleaning products, the type that the hospital use. Maybe my nose is a little sensitive but I really don't like it at all. It does feel nice and soft and the bits in the product aren't over the top, just enough to exfoliate your face. My skin did feel clean and a little bit soft but due to the smell I won't purchase this again.
