This was a weird product to use - it smells as expected (tea tree), and went on as expected (like a gel that dries). I used it sparingly on my face, and it didn't help any blemishes, but I think it helped to prevent any more to appear - so that was a good aspect. The bad aspect is that after applying moisturiser and makeup, by lunchtime at work I was shiny and oily and gross. It was at the stage where I was wiping excess oil off my face by mid-afternoon (and of course taking all my makeup off with it). After maybe 3-4 days of this, I stopped using this product and my skin went back to normal. Didn't like this one at all, sorry!

I have had acne for the last 20 or so years, and I'm now in my forties and still struggling with it. I was very excited to be chosen for the acne trial to see if this could be the product range for me. Sadly after using it for 2 weeks, my skin had broken out so badly, the worst it has been in years, that I stopped using the products. It irritated my skin so much that I am still breaking out. However I will review how I found the products.
Like the other products this had a strong tea tree smell. When I opened this product, I wasn't sure whether it was supposed to be used as a preventative measure or just to be used on areas which had pimples already. I found the instructions to be quite lacking in this area, and even after going on their website i'm still not sure! However I decided to use it on areas which were already breaking out, rather than putting it areas which were prone to breaking out. It is a clear gel which absorbs well, however I didn't find it made any difference to clearing up my breakouts. I also trialled in on my teenage son, who is getting breakouts on his nose, and it made no difference at all to the amount of time it took the pimples to clear up. I didn't find this product was at all effective. Its simply not drying enough to get rid of spots quickly.
I'm am to this day still not sure what this is meant to do. I've seen no difference at all on my skin from using this at all. I've used it for about 6 weeks now, so I have given it a proper and fair go. It say that Its meant to control your black and white heads, bit it just seems to add more white heads to my problem areas which is disappointing. I'm almost abit confused with this product.
I cant say much about this product as it didnt do much, to put it simple if you suffer from acne a lot like I do - My main problem areas are my face and chest - then although this product looks like it does a lot it really doesn't.
For starters, the smell is something to be desired seriously it smells like the nit treatment I had when I was a child.
consistency - The gel felt really thick and I did not like how heavy it felt on my skin, although in saying that it did seem to make it tingle a bit!
Results- The product was great in drying up my acne, but other then that it really did nothing else. It didnt help prevent future break outs, in fact my chest is worse then ever.
Strongly recommend people purchase the Tea Tree range from the body shop and do not recommend purchasing it, as there are a lot of other options out there that are much better.
Out of all the products in the trial, this one I didn't love. It was very sticky and the smell was quite powerful and because I was using more of it than some of the other products it was quite unpleasant. I applied it at night and found it to dry my skin out and it felt quite tight. It did dry out some of my spots however the tightness I felt over all was uncomfortable and sometimes I would skip this product as it didn't do any favours for makeup application.
It said it was meant to help dissolve blackheads but it didn't. I definitely preffered the blemish stick over this product for zapping nasty spots!
Tips: Make sure you hydrate after using this product to prevent ultra dryness.
