Packaging is the same the other Garnier micellar water products just a nice light blue colour. This one was fragrance free. However it still has a smell, but it's very pleasant. Easily takes make up off, I however have not had heavy foundation or anything on while using this yet.

Tips: Use face pads to apply to face!
I was quite excited to try this micellar water as I am a huge fan of Garnier Micellar water and use it daily in my routine to remove my makeup and cleanse my face. When I saw this particular type is for oily skin I was even more excited.
Unfortunately it seems my makeup is too stubborn for this type of micellar, it was great on my face but my eye make up took a significant amount of rubbing to remove on cotton pads and after 3 soaked cotton pads I still wasn't overly happy with the result and definitely noticed the panda eyes in the morning. I was excited also because I have oily skin however I found this to be overly drying when used morning and night and noticed a lot more flaking than usual. After 3 days of struggling to remove my makeup I reverted back to my Garnier Micellar in Oil at night and began using this water to cleanse and tone my face in the morning and I have found it much more effective when it does not have to fight with makeup and my skin was visibly cleaner and found my makeup has a smoother appearance and lasts longer throughout the day. For this reason, I think I will repurchase and add it into my routine as a morning step only, so it's not too drying and helps control oil through the day and continue to use the micellar in oil at night.
Tips: Use for cleansing not makeup removal
I first tried this cleansing water when I wasn't wearing makeup, only moisturiser and sunblock, to see how much it would remove and I was shocked by the amount of dirt that came out onto the cotton pad. I also tried it one night when I was too lazy to wash my face after wearing makeup, I used a makeup wipe first and thought everything had been wiped off but then I used the micellar water and it removed so much more makeup. It's also a no rinse cleanser and because I was tired I didn't rinse my face or put on moisturiser which I never do, but my skin was surprisingly moisturised. Usually if I don't apply moisturiser after cleansing my skin would feel extremely tight and dry. This is a really great product for when you don't want to go through all the effort of washing your face - especially in winter when it's too cold to be splashing water on your face!
I’m a makeup remover wipe kind of girl so it would take a bit for me to change my mind. This did, It’s gentle, doesn’t have a scent and does what it claims.
I have oily to combination skin and this works so well to cleanse my face prepping it for My moisturiser.
I reason I marked it down was because I had to really work to get my eye makeup off, although I do wear a lot of mascara and only a few products can tackle it one go.
All in all a reliable product that will be a good staple!!
Tips: Moisturise after as it noticeably drys out the skin. Great for Oily skin!
This is a nice easy way to clean your face but personally I prefer to use the water and cleaner method. I thought it did a pretty nice job but I would rather not use a cotton wool pad every single time I wash my face as I think that's pretty wasteful and probably not terribly eco friendly. However I did like that my skin felt quite nice afterwards and it wasn't too drying. I would continue to use this if in a hurry or maybe going away.
It does take off face makeup really well, but I have to almost scrub at my eyes to get everything off. Even when I’m super gentle with it, my eyes still sting a bit. It’s not one of my favourites, but I’ll use up the bottle.
I accidentally bought this bottle instead of the one aimed at dry skin types, but it still worked really well and I used up the entire bottle. I wear a lot of eye makeup and thought this product was amazing for removing that at the end of the day. Just shake the bottle and squeeze a bit onto a cotton pad or face cloth and gently rub in circles to remove makeup and purify/cleanse your skin. My skin always feels fantastic afterwards and this removes any and all makeup without having to scrub really hard. Doesn’t hurt my eyes or dry out my skin.
this micellar water removes make up very well but i think its more stronger than the other garnier micellar water ,it will sting my eyes a little bit and cause my skin redness just after using it ,but it disappeared soon and i think its because it cleans your skin more deeply and aiming at reducing acne as well .
I have used lots of micellar waters/cleansers. There are a lot of competing brands and formulations. Every brand has a version. Many irritate my sensitive eyes, even supposedly sensitive/hypoallergenic ones, but Garnier never does. The Garnier Pure Active Micellar Cleansing Water is lovely and soft on my eyes and the scent is clean/neutral. I use micellar mainly for removing mascara, eyeshadow, eyebrow pencil, and matte lipsticks. I feel uncomfortable putting richer cleansers near my eyes and mouth as it would taste awful and may irritate. This Garnier micellar smells neutral (fragrance free) and feels soft. The bottle says it purifies and mattifies but, aside from setting spray and lippy, I don't know how one would judge this from a cleanser. I have combination skin, with oily areas, and my skin felt comfortable post-cleansing with this. The 400ml bottle is great value at $13.99 and you can often find it much cheaper at the supermarket. I would have no issue with $13.99 though- it lasts a long time and is such a premium product. Would definitely repurchase!
Tips: Splash onto a reusable cloth makeup wipe- it will hold the water better, feel softer, and won't end up in the landfill.
