I enjoyed this oil and appreciated the skin refinement it brings. It feels quite greasy to start, but a few minutes after application and its absorbed well with no residue.
I found this was very quick to absorb and is quite hydrating and smoothing. I didn't find it as supple or softening as the original rosehip, but its still a lovely oil to use.
I definitely think it balanced my t-zone and added to the overall niceness of my skin during this trial.
I've tried many face oils and this is by far my fave, it soaks in really well and doesn't leave the skin feeling oily even when applying moisturizer on top. You don't need much 4 drops for face and neck. The packaging is really cool and the dropper makes it easy to use just the right amount. Good value for money because it lasts for ages.
There is something about Trilogy products that feels so luxurious and a real treat for my skin, and this product is no different.
After cleansing my face, I use the Hemphip Balancing Oil at night. The oil is lightweight and absorbs really well in my skin. It is also fragrance free, which I like especially when I am applying just before bed.
The oil comes in a glass bottle, which I really like to help reduce the amount of plastic being used.
Highly recommend this product for anyone with oily or combination skin. It goes really well with the Mattifying Moisturising Lotion and the Clarifying Cleansing Gel for reducing overall shine.
Tips: Only one drop is enough to cover your whole face.
This is my first oil I’ve ever used more than once! It’s light citrusy smell is refreshing and it only takes a couple of drops to do your whole face. I like that it’s not too thick and absorbs quickly without leaving my face feeling or looking like an oil slick. I think it’s really helping with my rough dull skin texture as well, not sure yet if it’s reducing shine. I haven’t been brave enough to use in the morning so have only been using at night. I may just become an oil convert!
Wow, what an incredibly hydrating, healing and soothing wee oil! In an easy to use glass bottle with a dropper. Easy to use, no wastage and easy to apply to the skin. The oil is easily penetrates the skin and feels so delicious on the skin! I am such a fan as it absorbs so well. I found this to be non irritating and highly nourishing. I definitely recommend to others!
Tips: Apply two drops to finger tips and press in to the skin, this is effective in avoiding overuse
I use this as part of my morning routine and so far, I’m really enjoying it. It’s a light oil, which is really good for daytime and 2-3 drops is plenty. I always try to use natural products where I can so I love that this is a natural blend and that it’s organic. It absorbs really easily and makes my skin feel so soft and supple.
I’ve never really used an oil before and wow I love this one so much! The Hemphip balancing oil comes in a 30ml dropper and is easy to apply. It has a slight “seed” smell like other facial oils, it’s not offensive and goes onto the skin really easily. My skin absorbed the oil well and I put lotion over the top! My skin feels hydrated and has been really clear the last few weeks. I have been using about 4-5 drops rather than the 2-3 recommend.
Tips: Apply with mattifying lotion for best results
The first time I used this it sunk in quickly and I didn’t find myself too oily. However after using it for several applications I was just getting greasier and greasier. Throughout the day I would soak though any blotting paper or even toilet paper I used to try and dry off my face. I became so oily my face started breaking out and the cleanser wasn’t doing enough to clean my face anymore. I have oily skin to begin with, but before using this oil I felt I had a good handle on keeping the sebum production at bay. Now my face is like a non stop oil slick.
The oil itself is yellow and quite thick and I found it hard to spread, which sometimes meant I was using a lot of it to try and cover my whole face. I found the best way to apply it is to drop some in my hands, rub them together slightly to spread the oil and then pat into my face. I really like the bottle packaging, it’s a nice glass bottle with an easy to use dropper. I don’t think it would last very long if it’s being used morning and night as it takes quite a bit to spread around. The price is alright for an oil and if it had worked for me, I’d be willing to pay it. However with my brand new pimples that don’t seem to want to go away and my oily forehead, I can’t recommend this product unless you have severely dehydrated skin.
Tips: Drop it into the palms of your hands and pat into the face to avoid using too much.
The oil arrived in the lovely Trilogy packaging which makes you feel like you're in for a treat!
Cute little bottle with a pipette makes it easy to dispense this oil as you don't need to pick the bottle up after unscrewing the lid. I followed the instructions but as I have skin on the drier side of combination, I had to use an extra drop than was recommended. I thought is would go on more easily but it did feel quite 'dry' (that's the best way I can describe it) to apply so I often felt like I was dragging it around my face, even using more of the product.
It absorbed really quickly, rather than leaving an oily layer on the skin. But that could also be down to my lovely dehydrated skin needing the moisture!
I felt like it provided a great base for the moisturiser and, whether it's true or not, it felt like an opportunity to seal in the benefits of the oil when moisturising.
Later in the day I would often end up with greasy patches but I can't honestly say the oil contributed to that as immediately after use this wasn't the case. I think that was just my skin's normal oil production.
Overall my skin felt and looked great after using the oil (and the rest of the regime).
This Hemphip balancing oil is so nourishing. It's natural lemon myrtle scent, like the rest of the range, makes using these products a real pleasure, not only in their smell, but the benefits to the skin.
This oil is a blend of a few beneficial oils, which on my skin, I found to be nourishing but also really healing, and delivering clearer skin. I had a hormonal breakout prior to using this oil (and the range), and it very quickly calmed the redness of the breakout, but also quickened up the healing. I've also not had another breakout while using the product.
I used this morning and night, and my skin thanked me, with clearer skin, and no further breakouts. It absorbs very quickly. 1-2 drops is all you need, and your skin soaks it all in. After use, you follow with the moisturiser, and in my case, my skin had a lovely glow and freshness to it.
A little goes a long way, so this is a fabulous investment in your skin. I'm usually a Rosehip oil fan all the way, but because this is an oil blend, and it delivers great benefits, I'm very likely converted to Trilogy's Hemphip Balancing Oil forever! A fabulous product.
Tips: Put 1-2 drops in the palm of your hand and gently pat the oil into the skin rather than rubbing in - wait a minute or two and follow with moisturiser (if needed)
