I was super excited to trial this product because I've been looking to supercharge my skincare with some vitamin c.
Let's start with the packaging. This came in a glass bottle which show a white almost iridescent liquid inside. Once I finally opened it however the serum was more of a yellow-y/cream colour.
Although this looks like it could be a pump bottle, do not let it fool you. Instead the pump-like top actually works the same as a eyedropper.
So you pump to collect the serum, twist to open and pump to release the serum. It's nice and sanitary but I suspect I'll be using some cotton buds to collect the serum when it gets low.
The serum itself is light to apply and adds an instant subtle glow.
I have paired it with a vitamin c scrub and brightening cleanser for a fully brightening skincare routine, but I reckon the serum packs the biggest brightening punch.
I was very excited to try this product!
Not going to lie… figuring out the bottle took me a lot longer than I would like to admit. I definitely prefer pump bottles for serums and face products, rather than a separate dropper that you try and screw back on when your hands are slippery with serum
The serum itself didn’t really smell of anything. It did leave my face feeling quite sticky, until I put moisturiser on. Wasn’t a fan of that tacky skin feeling
As with anything skincare that has vitamin c, it is not recommended for oily skin as it encourages the skin to produce more oil. As I have combination skin, I used this serum only on the dry parts of my face.
I didn’t notice a change in my acne scarring, or general skin condition while trialling this serum. That could be related to face mask use though, so I will keep trying and see if it changes my mind
I’m not in a hurry to go and purchase this product myself
