Juliet Skin Brightening Gel Cleanser

After my favourite supermarket cleanser was discontinued, I was looking for something to replace it with and was not having much luck. While having coffee with a friend, I commented on how nice her skin looked…she said she was hooked on Antipodes. I purchased the Juliet Skin Brightening Gel Cleanser from Farmers that afternoon and have been using ever since.

I love the smell, it is nice and refreshing – especially in the morning. At first I did not like the squeeze bottle but as mentioned in another review it is very economical as a little goes a long way and only a small amount comes out at a time. It lathers up surprisingly well, and is fine for a ‘double cleanse’ at the end of the day without being too harsh.

My skin tone has started to improve, and hopefully will continue to do so over the next few weeks.

It is definitely a little bit more then I usually spend on a everyday cleanser, but it seems to be lasting well and because of this will most likely keep using.

Finally a 'natural' product that actually works, with science to back it up, and it is a NZ brand too :)

Tips: After using for a week, I decided to buy the Reincarnation Pure Facial Exfoliator and Aura Manuka Honey Mask. Using all three together on a Sunday night before bed – Bliss.

Pricey but worth it

When it comes to skincare, the price is something that rarely effects my decision to purchase or not to purchase a product. Antipodes Juliet Cleanser is divine to say the least. It has such a lovely smell to it and that's a bonus in itself as there is nothing worse than products with a not so pleasant smell.

At first I was confused about it being in a squeezey type bottle but soon appreciated it as it was a great way of controlling how much product you use at a time.

A little definitely goes a long way, meaning that it will last for a long time because you don't need to use as much therefore it is worth the money you pay for it! It's lathers up so nicely in your hands and is gentle yet very thorough in getting rid of makeup etc.

After using it, it leaves my skin feeling silky smooth and clean. This is definitely a product I will continue to purchase and has made me excited to try more products from the Antipodes range

Great Results

I was looking for a product that was more calming on my skin as it is quiet sensitive so brought the Juliet Gel Cleanser on recommendation from friends. After 7 days of washing 2x daily I noticed a more even skin complexion and that my darkening under eyes had nearly disappeared! The gel smells lovely and foams lightly with a little moisture added so alot goes along way. I do find that my skin is dry after washing so have selected a heavier moisturizer to use while also only now washing my face 1x daily which it has responded well to. Really happy with the results and love that the packing is recyclable.

Love It

I tried the Antipodes Juliet Skin Brightening Gel Cleanser after trying and liking a few other Antipodes products. I was looking for an organic cleanser and decided to give this a go as my gel cleanser.

The gel is a lot more runny than other gel cleansers I have tried, but fortunately I didn't need a lot of product to get a full coverage of my face, so being runny has meant better value for money as the product lasts longer.

Like a lot of organic New Zealand made products it had a clear Manuka Honey smell coming through which always is pleasant and reminds me that it is an organic New Zealand made product. Side note: big points for being both organic and New Zealand made, those are some pretty special aspects right there.

The packaging was practical and I think it can be recycled which is also things I like to see in a product.

I did a side by side comparison of this product and an non organic gel cleanser I had and this one felt so much fresher and softer on the skin. So I would recommend braving the cost and going organic.

Love it!

I'm about half way through my bottle of this and I'm so in love with how it makes my skin feel. It's made a huge difference to my skin which is quite prone to pimples - I've definitely noticed less than before i started using it. I love that it is New Zealand made and uses such lovely ingredients.

Tips: It comes out quite fast so don't squeeze the bottle too hard when pouring it.

Most divine cleanser I've ever used

When I first bought the Juliet cleanser from Antipodes I umm'ed and ahh'ed for a bit as I'd never spent very much on cleansers before and this was slightly pricier than what I was used to, but I got a sample pottle from a Hardy's Health store and fell in love with it.

The first thing I must say about this cleanser is the smell. Oh my god, the smell! It is so delicious smelling, but not perfumy or over-powering at all. It is a sweet, natural, fruity smell and it is absolutely gorgeous.

The texture is like any other gel cleanser - I love how refined and well made this product is despite being natural and wholesome - it's really up there with the usual commercial products.

I suppose the only complaint I could make would be about the packaging. It would be good if the bottle had a pump, but this wasn't a big enough issue to tarnish my experience with the product. You only need a very small amount of the cleanser anyway, so it's possible that a pump may give too much product.

I do believe It lives up to it's claim of being 'skin brightening'; it's certainly not the kind of thing that you use once and all of a sudden your complexion is stunning, but with everyday use it definitely has a brightening effect and makes skin nice and dewy and glowy looking.

I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good quality, gently cleanser. It reminds me, I should get some more myself!

Tips: You really don't need much product each use

Antipodes Juliet Skin Brightening Gel Cleanser

I have read lots of reviews here and when I was up for a new cleanser I decided to give this one a try. I am so happy I did.

This gel cleanser is natural and made in New Zealand, awesome. It comes in a 200ml bottle which can be recycled and the price is $40.00.

My evening beauty routine is the favourite time of my day and using this gel makes it even more lovely.

The gel is a light and a bit runny so be careful not too waste any down the drain. You dont need a lot to get an amazing result. Always wet your face first, I have found this way works best for me. In a circular motion massage into your face and wash away the days make up. This gel will leave your face feeling clean and fresh and not dry at all.

The fragrance of this gel is so fresh and apple like

I do have dark spots on the right side of my face ( probably from driving with the sun on that side of my face) so I spend a bit more time massaging there and I have noticed a slight lightening of those spots. I feel with continued use, they could hopefully fade even more.

Great for teenage skin

I used this particular product when I was younger. I found it was great for my younger acne breakout prone skin. Other brands really dried my skin out but this cleanser cleaned away all the dirt ect without striping away all the natural goodness too.

Tips: Always cleanse skin for a few minutes its soo important and I believe to get the most out of a cleanser it really needs to be used for longer .

The Juliet to my skin's Romeo

This stuff is seriously the bee's metaphorical knees. It smells divine, lathers up well and cleanses wonderfully. I haven't had any physical brightening effects yet, but the minute I open the bottle and the fruity scent hits me I'm instantly in a better mood. I love it for when I have scrubbed all the make up off my face with remover, and need to cleanse to get all the oily residue off - the gentle suds effectively get the residue off as well as lightly moisturising my skin. It doesn't leave skin feeling too tight, and I find I need to use much less moisturiser after washing my face with Juliet - for me most cleansers require a fair dollop of the stuff, but I use considerably less after this one. A perfect end-of-a-long-day cleanser, leaving you in as much of a blissful state as a cleanser could.

Tips: I find I get the most out of Juliet by using a konjac fibre sponge instead of my regular sea sponge, as the fibres help exfoliate and restore moisture to the skin even when used on it's own, and that effect is increased 5x with this cleanser.

brightening gel cleanser

I have been using this for about a fortnight and I'm really pleased. It's hefty enough to remove all my makeup but gentle enough to take off my mascara with as well. It's an odd, thickish brown gel but it smells delightful (like apples) and it actually lathers up fairly well despite no sls, so it's a lot gentler than a lot of products. Because the gel is quite thick, and it has a weird, squeezy end, it comes out only a little at a time so there's no wastage. My skin feels great when I massage it in, really clean, smooth and soft. I do find it ever so slightly more drying than my last cleanser, but I am very dehydration prone, and that only happens if I leave it with out toner or moisturiser for a while. The very (and I mean VERY!) slight dehydrated feeling is the only reason I didn't give this 100%. It's gentle, silky, thorough and economical, and it hasn't made me breakout, which is rare!! I'm very happy with this cleanser, good chance I'll be continuing with it. Now to try the toner!

Tips: Teeeny bit. Its really concentrated. It lathers up well when your face/hands are nice and wet.

I hope it helps you! Everyone is different and I haven't seen your skin but this is really nice. I highly recommend one of those rosewater toners, too, andthe skinfood clay mask. Good luck! X post how you go.
