I had some help in testing this product from my boyfriend, who probably has more sensitive skin around his eyes than I do. He found it kept his eye contour comfortable all day, that it was easy to apply, and that there was no funny fragrance. For him, it ticked all of the boxes.
I guess I'm a little fussier and there was one thing that stopped me from really getting on board with this product- how long it takes to sink into the skin. One pump gives far too much product and it slides around a fair amount. You have to leave it for a few minutes before putting anything over the top. This is not a problem in and of itself, but for someone who's usually in a rush, this can slow you down. Patience is a virtue that I do not have!
I do like how cooling it feels around the eye, and for an anti-puffiness cream, that's ideal. The featured ingredient for 'de-puffing', niacinamide, has been popping up in more and more of my skin care and this is the first time I've seen it in an eye area product.
I think this is one beauty product that I won't mind passing on to the man of the house. I'll stick with something a little quicker to absorb.
This eye cream comes in a small transparent sealed pump bottle that can twist to lock and seals from germs so harsh preservatives aren't needed. I bottle is practical but still looks expensive and nice.
I have sensitive eczema-prone skin (occasionally on the eyelids) and also hayfever, so most days my eyes are quite puffy or red. This eye cream goes on very smoothly and absorbs quickly without any greasy residue. There's also no stinging if any gets in your eyes which is amazing, probably due to the lack of fragrance and other irritating ingredients. I found that this cream soothes my eyes when they are irritated and would be fantastic for reducing wrinkles (thankfully I don't have any yet but doesn't hurt to take preventative measures!).
This cream contains squalane oil which I've been raving about for a while now - for me it's a miracle oil and the only oil my face can tolerate without getting irritated. It's found naturally in the skin so it absorbs easily and doesn't feel greasy.
The only downside to this eye cream is the price - $40 for 20mL. You don't need to use much - maybe the size of a popcorn kernel? - so the bottle would probably last a few months. I'm not sure if it's worth having a dedicated eye cream in addition to a normal face cream, but if you did want/need one then I would definitely recommend this one.
Tips: Perfect for sensitive, irritated or puffy eyes. Use a small amount and gently pat into the eyelids and undereye area.
