This product smelled good and removed my make up very effectively. I did find that you need to rinse it off very thoroughly though, otherwise it can leave your skin feeling a little sticky

I have used a lot of neutrogena products and loved them, so I was a little disappointed when I tried this. The main reason for my disappointment was that the product stung my eyes despite its claims to remove eye makeup gently. It also left my skin feeling slightly tight, and i have normal skin
Just ok for me, I use makeup wipes which can also remove eye makeup, and this product hasn't enticed me away from that! In fact I would definitely avoid it near the eyes if you have sensitive eyes!
Tips: If your eyes are a little sensitive avoid this product near your eyes, even though it says it's fine for eyes
I bought this as I was on a hunt for a cleanser without all the nasty stuff. However, found it didn't remove all my makeup or noticeably improve my skin in the long run. It does leave the skin nice and smooth and clean feeling straight after use though and does smell fantastic.
Tips: I found it works a lot better if you splash your face first and leave it on for 30secs before washing off.
I had high hopes for this product as I found the other Neutrogena products I have previously tried were really good. I like the idea of a more 'natural' version of the Neutrogena that doesn't test on animals and uses natural ingredients, a nice change towards more eco-friendly products for such a well-known brand.
I found the packaging reallllly difficult to get open to get the pump working! I almost gave up. The pump-style bottle is my favourite style of packaging for cleansers though as I like how they help you to manage how much liquid is being dispersed. With the Fresh Cleaning+ you only need one pump.
I wet my face and hands as directed and lathered the cleanser before applying it to my face and rubbing it in. For a cleanser it is very strongly fragranted, it actually reminded me a lot of Garnier shampoo which is a nice scent but not for a cleanser/makeup remover. I personally hate really strongly scented skincare products as I don't want to be adding else unnecessary onto my skin and for a 'natural' product I had expected something a lot more subtle.
I found it removed my face make-up well, did okay with one layer of my Falsies mascara but struggled to remove my eyeliner properly, 2 layers of mascara still left panda eyes galore and it didn't even budge my Collection Cosmetics mascara, which is what I initially purchased for removing.
Afterwards my skin did feel clean and fresh, a little tight but not too bad. I wouldn't say it left it 'soft', you should definately moisturise after this.
I wouldn't purchase this again because the scent really is too overpowering for my taste and it wasn't nearly as effective as a makeup remover as I had hoped.
I would recommend this if you don't wear a lot of eye makeup and you're wanting a multi-purpose cleanser/makeup remover and don't mind a strong scent.
Tips: Be gentle on your eyes if you're using this to remove your eye makeup - don't go rubbing hard!
This product was a great make-up remover, but it didn't leave my face feeling fresh after using it, in fact it always felt a bit tight. I really liked the smell, and it lathered up quite nicely on my face. Overall, not a bad product, and a great general make-up remover, but I'll be keeping my eye out for a different one next time as well.
I thought I'd give this a try after using other Neutrogena cleansers, wipes and lotions in the past. The fact that this was a Neutrogena Naturals truly caught my eye the most. It claims to remove all makeup and leave skin fully clean and refreshed. It did not do either of those things, makeup lingered well after washing my face 2 times with this product. It also dried my sensative skin out and almost felt as if it stripped EVERYTHING from my face. For those reasons I will not repurchase this and would not recommend this product either
Tips: Stay away from this facial cleanser
In the absence of instructions, I merrily began to apply this cleansing and make up remover directly to my skin as i would normally apply cream cleansers. Big mistake!!!! My eyes began to water and I realised pretty quickly that this was not the cleansing lotion I was expecting but rather a product best used like soap. However, having rinsed the product off my face using tepid water I was really pleased with the effects. My skin felt clean, ( if a little dry which was soon remedied with my usual moisturising lotion), and all make up, including my waterproof mascara was removed. I love the fresh smell and my skin definitely felt cleansed. This product absolutely does just as it promises but I felt it probably needs some guidence for those using it for the first time. I especially love that Neutrogena is free from harsh chemicals and dyes with the added bonus that not only has it NOT been tested on animals, (yay!!!), but the packaging is also made from recycled material. Double yay!!!
Tips: I found this product worked beautifully with tepid/warm water. I squirted a small amount of the cleanser on to wet hands and applied to my face. Taking care around the eyes. I then rinsed with clean tepid/water and then patted my skin dry. I only needed to do this process once and all trace of make up had been removed.... perfect!
I was so excited by this product the first night I used it, it got all of my makeup off, even my mascara which to date ive never found a foaming cleanser that will successfully remove it and my skin felt great, the smell reminded me of the old Apple shampoo you used to buy back in the day and I didnt have to use alot of it at all to get a good lather. But I was gutted 2 days later when my skin started to feel very stingy around my eyes and then my lips started to go very dry and crack, at first I didnt even realise it would be the cleanser and wondered if I had used a different lipstick but I hadnt so I figured it was the cleanser as it had been the only "new" thing I had used lately. I stopped using it and my lips cleared up within a day and I no longer have the stingy feel around my eyes. I was gutted! as I really did love this product when I first used it, it did tick all the boxes for me, but unfortunately my skin and lips did not like it and you cant really use a cleanser like that without some of it getting on your lips. I would recommend it to friends to try as I do think its a great cleanser and does what it says it does but I would also warn them what happened to me. I also found the plastic pump didnt work for me.
Tips: Only use very little.
Ingredient list: Ok, this impressed me. Sure, there were a lot of big words that I'd never heard of - but next to each it listed the 'source', each of which seemed like they were naturally occuring. For the 14% of ingredients that aren't naturally derived, they explained, their purpose is to blend the product together and maintain effectiveness.
Smell: The product has a nice smell - refreshing, not too strong, doesn't smell like a bunch of chemicals.
Removing make-up: It seemed to work well. I tried it on light foundation and heavier foundation and it removed both successfully. I tested this by using a wet, white cloth afterwards - it remained white! I wouldn't recommend it for removing eye makeup though. It ran easily into my eyes - which then stung for half an hour! Ouch.
Moisturising? My face felt a little tight after washing - it definitely needed moisturiser applied afterwards, so I won't be skipping that step.
Overall: A good generic makeup remover, but avoid the eye area. Nice smell and good to think it may not be too bad for your skin - or the environment.
Tips: Avoid the eye area - ouch!
