Good product, over powering fragrance

I have tried Caramel Cream, Vanilla and Macadamia NIVEA Lip Butters, and I really like that they are a thicker creamy lip 'butter' which makes it really good for quite dry chapped even wind burnt/sun burnt lips.

I dislike the packaging and that you have to use your fingers to apply it! Really unhygienic, and your fingers get really sticky. Its stored in a tin with a click close which is so hard to open and to close it again you get the product on it so the outside of it gets sticky and grubby.

It lasts pretty good as it is a thicker consistency, but it is on the stickier side!

The fragrance is very sickly sweet and fake, rather than a subtle hint of caramel it's overpowering, so that is a shame as that makes me not want to reach for it as much.

Pretty cheap for how long it lasts for, I have had mine for over a year and easily still half full.

I have dry sensitive skin and lips that can get wind burnt and chapped in the warmer weather, so this product does live up to the claims of soft hydrated skin.

Tips: If you don't like sickly sweet overpowering scents, go for the 'frangrance free' option.

Yum yum!

My tried the vanilla and macadamia one, and it smells amazing! As a lip balm it has a really smooth texture and leaves your lips feeling really soft and creamy, am tasting good! :b I find that most lip balms make my lips all rashy due to some sort of reaction, but these Nivea ones don't have that problem! So they are perfect for sensitive lips! The only downside is that the lid can sometimes be hard to remove, but it's not so much of an issue! I'm not usually impressed with lip balms that aren't in the form of a wind up stick, but this one is definitely amazing! And rather cheap for what it is too! It lasts a long time, definitely worth purchasing :)

Love!

I am a lip balm addict, so I have tried most on the market. I bought this when I saw it on special at countdown – Vanilla Macadamia one.

I really love the scent and texture of this, but using a finger to apply is not the cleanest, most hygienic method. The lid is also a bit tricky to get off sometimes. Having said that, it’s what’s inside that counts! This is a super smooth, moisturising and long lasting lip balm. I apply this in the morning after doing my makeup and acts as a really good, moisturising base for lipstick. If you put it on at night before bed time you’ll wake up with soft smooth lips. I just love this product!

Tips: Use before bedtime so smooth soft lips in the morning!

My Everyday Lipbalm

I adore this stuff. I don't like the scented ones very much, they smell awesome but I find they don't have the same level of moisture in them as the Original one. But with the Original, I use it on a daily basis. I exfoliate my lips twice a week and that combined with this and twice weekly applications of my lip treatment and I have gorgeous, soft lips. Even before I bought those other 2 products I had very dry lips, especially after I got put on medication for my acne which dried me out everywhere. I'm always trying out new products for their smell, but if you don't care or even don't LIKE scented products on your lips, I would highly recommend this. It does dry out a little bit after a while, but nothing unbearable.

Tips: Keep on you at all times, even if your lips aren't dry.

Great lip product

I have tried the caramel and macadamia flavoured Nivea lip butters and they smelled so good! I really want to try the raspberry smelling one but I don't know whether it's available in New Zealand, I haven't seen it. It's the most moisturising lip butter/balm I've ever used. I'm absolutely going to repurchase soon.

Soft kissable lips

I am the first to put my hand up and admit that I was a lip balm junky. I've always had issues with cracked, sore and sometimes bleeding lips and have tried every lip product under the sun to try and fix the problem. But with no success...

Until I came across a gorgeous looking tin of Nivea Vanilla and Macadamia lip butter at the local supermarket. I was tempted to buy it mainly because of the delicious sounding scent but also because I've found Nivea products good in the past. And I'm so glad that I did as it has made the biggest difference to the state of my lips.

Firstly, the smell is amazing and the tin is full of a rich, creamy white butter that feels incredibly soothing on your lips. I'm not a huge fan of lip balms or butters that you have to dip your finger into, but this cute little tin does fit nicely into your purse or desk drawer at work which makes it very convenient.

Unlike many of the lip products I've tried, this product doesn't leave my lips feeling like they've been coated in a heavy, greasy slick but instead feel more moisturised with just a thin layer of slick on top. The moisture lasts longer than any other product I've tried and it took less than a week for my lips to completely heal and moisturise - something that had been causing me trouble for years. In fact, it's now at the stage where I only need to apply the lip butter twice a day to keep my lips feeling soft - once in the morning before applying my lipstick, and last thing at night before bed.

This is one of my 'holy grail' products and the pile of backup tins in my makeup drawer is testimony to how much I rely on this product.

Tips: Keep a tin beside your bed and apply last thing at night before sleeping to wake up with soft, healthy lips.

The key to soft kissable lips

These body butters are great for hydrating super dry lips, they leave your pout soft and moisturised. The only down side to them is they are really thick and creamy and personally they leave a white residue on my lips so it's not ideal for in the handbag while in the go. It is great to use at the start of make up application so when you get to applying lipstick it has already soaked in and you have a nice smooth base for your colour. Also awesome to apply every night before you hop into bed so you wake up with soft gorgeous lips

NIVEA Lip Butter

I was given this product a few days ago & I'm liking it a lot! I like to put lip balms on before bed and when I get up each morning, and sometimes throughout the day in cooler weather to prevent dry lips. This will definitely be my new go-to lip balm for my routine as it is super buttery/creamy and smooth.. I love the formula as it is so moisturizing! Also like the packaging as it is simple - I definitely prefer this packaging compared to something such as chapstick! Really keen to try out the other scents :)

Tips: I applied a thin layer of this lip butter under autralis velour lips (which can be really drying since it's matte) and it helped so much at keeping my lips moisturized!! :)

Weird white cast on lips.

The interesting scents/flavours really sucked me in but this product has a really weird texture and colour that leaves your lips feeling really greasy and looking really white. I look sick when I use these lipbalms. I've tried the macadamia nut scent and the raspberry one and they have both been horrible on my lips. I would give this a pass and just stick to the normal Nivea lipbalms. The other thing that isn't very good about these is that you either need to use your fingers to apply the balm to your lips or you have to awkwardly smeared it on holding the tin- not to mention it goes over your lips and onto your face when you do it the latter way..

Super Soft Lips

I love this product. It makes my lips super soft and smooth. I find that I get really chapped lips when I play sport due sweat. So this product replaces all the moisture in my lips.

It doesn't give a white cast like some products do. It's quite shiny which can be annoying sometimes but other than that it's great. It doesn't have a weird taste like other products I have tried.

The packaging is great. I like the fact that it comes in a tin because it's easier to gauge how much product is left. It is also harder to lose as I always lose lip balms that come in stick form.

I've been using this product for 3 months now I have only just been able to see the bottom of the tin. This product lasts a very long time.
