Fresh and bright skin after 15 minutes of relaxing

Having never tried a tissue mask before I was excited to try the Garnier Fresh Mix Tissue Mask with the Vitamin C shot and intrigued by the packaging. I had to read the instructions multiple times - the algae tissue mask is dry in a top compartment and you fold the packet a couple of times and squeeze the liquid into it before applying it to your face. Even with this fancy packaging it was still a wee bit messy (lots of liquid) but wasn't sticky and smelt amazing as all Garnier products do. I'm used to face masks where I can pace around the house and continue to do other things but enjoyed relaxing for 15 minutes with this one. I wiped off any remaining product which didn't absorb and my skin felt lovely and soft and looked fresh and bright.

Tips: Pick a time where you have at least 20 minutes free of distractions to relax with this on your face.

Garnier Fresh Mix Tissue Mask Vitamin C

I’m a face mask junkie so was super stoked to be a part of the trial team for this product!! Was a bit weary though as over the last few months my skin has been leaning on the combination/oily side of the spectrum. This mask claims to be hydrating so wasn’t sure if it would be a fit for my skin type but was keen to give it a go anyway! This is packaged differently to most sheet masks in the sense that the mask bit and serum bits are separate. In order to use the mask, you have to fold it in thirds then push the liquid upwards into the mask compartment. Once the sheet seemed to be fully soaked, I ripped open the packet and managed to manoeuvre it easily onto my face. The holes where your eyes, nose and mouth are meant to be are very generously sized so no issues with the application. I then left the mask on for 15 minutes. This is a vitamin c infused mask which claims to moisturise, brighten and even out the skins complexion. As I was waiting for the mask to do its magic, I realised the scent of it wasn’t at all bad. It’s not overpowering and even though there was so much serum infused into the mask, I couldn’t tell if there was a scent at all. Taking off the mask was super easy. It slides right off without any issues either. Initial reactions were very positive! My skin looked brighter and seemed to be a bit plumpier than normal. I did feel a cooling sensation as well. I waited a few days before writing this review as I wanted to see if it changed the appearance of my skin at all. I did notice that the day after I used this, my face did seem a bit oilier than normal and I ended up getting a couple of pimples. Now I don’t think that the mask is to blame for that - it’s just not the right type for my skins current needs! Would I buy this again? Absolutely but in a type that suits my skin. I love the concept of having the serum and sheet separate until it’s time to use it.

Tips: I ended up using the leftover product as a serum all over my face then left it on overnight. Woke up to super soft skin!!

Simple and easy

I was pleasantly surprised with this mask. It came in a split pouch keeping the serum separate from the mask. I wondered how messy it was going to be to use, but literally had no mess. Folded pouch as instructed and the serum flows into the mask area of the pouch. Tear open and pull out the mask. So easy.

I haven’t used this style of face mask, o lay using the creams you apply direct to your face so was a little sceptical. However, the tissue mask was easy to put on and ensure my face was fully covered. I was concerned that it might drip, but it didn’t. It felt nice and moist, not drying at all, and had a nice smell too.

So easy to remove, no mess (again) so that’s a nice change from trying to get a usually face mask off. My skin was so dry that there was not much serum left once tissue mask as removed. I thought I might need to wipe off the excess but there was hardly any so I finished off my face treatment with a quick face massage to work the serum right in.

Straight away my skin felt much more moisturised and smooth. After 24 hours my skin still felt much more moisturised than it usually would. I would definitely buy this in the future. I’m now converted from the old school face masks to these tissue ones!

Tips: I would definitely recommend massaging in any excess serum after you remove the mask. Get as many nutrients in as you can.

Glowy

I picked up a few Garnier masks when on special at the warehouse. The packaging is interesting as you press down on it to release the serum onto the mask. Once covered you open it and place on your face. An odd feeling but most masks are. Once done it does leave a lot on your face so you may want to remove a little but ensure you leave most of it on and gently pay into your skin. I found it left my skin feeling lovely. Don't know if it would make Any lasting difference but it's great for a quick burst

Tissue Mask – Hydration Shot!

Interesting face mask concept, and I feel it’s slightly fiddly and gimmicky - I’m also not a huge fan of having to read and follow instructions.

However, once on, this was a very relaxing way to sit back and relax and enjoy the cooling, jelly-like feel of this mask against my skin. After 15 minutes, I removed the mask and massaged the excess moisture into my face, as the instructions advised. My skin felt very hydrated, and there was no stinging or redness, which is something I have experienced in the past when using other masks – I do have sensitive skin. Immediately afterwards, I was left with fresh, hydrated feeling skin and my face did radiate. I am writing this review after only having just used it, so I can’t confirm that it did after one week what it claims to do, but right now my skin feels lush and super hydrated.

Would use again and would recommend – especially during summer time when my skin has usually seen too much sun.

Tips: A treat for the face after a day at the beach!

Fresh Mix Tissue Mask

i got picked to review this (thanks!) ive always wanted to try one, but with having eczema one my face im always very cautious when using new products. but i wanted to give it a try. the packet is all in one, mask at the top, serum at the bottom. following the instructions was easy, fold it into 1/3's and then squeeze the serum into the area where the masks sits. it says to wait till all the serum is absorbed but after almost 5 mins it hadn't so i took it out. it was slimy and kinda gross feeling, but since i had to review it, on my face it went. it took me a few minutes to get it into a good position, all though it didn't fit my eye area very well it was still manageable. it was on my face for 15 minutes, after that the packet says to take if off and you can either wipe off or rub in the excess, so i rubbed it in. and i have to say im pretty impressed! my skin doesn't often feel soft (because of the eczema) but it did! it feels rejuvenated, like it hasn't in a long time. im so pleased with it, i will be buying it!

Tips: have a cloth or paper towel on hand for drips

Garnier Fresh Mix Tissue Mask Vitamin C

This was a really fun mask to use - I really liked the idea of mixing the serum with the dry sheet mask so that it was "fresh"!. The mixing process was really easy and well-explained on the back of the pack. The sheet itself was super easy to put on, however it was really dripping wet as there was a huge amount of serum in the packet! When I was finished with the mask, I didn't find that my face was left feeling too sticky when I removed the mask, as I sometimes do with sheet masks like this. My skin felt super smooth and soft and looked a little brighter after using this sheet mask, though I'd need to use it a few times to see if it really did produce long-lasting results! I did really enjoy this mask though, and would definitely re-purchase.

Tips: Follow the step-by-step guide on the back of the mask to mix the serum with the sheet mask before opening. There's a huge amount of serum in the pack, so you may want to save some to use in your skincare regime later!

Interesting and Fun to Use!

I've avoided tissue masks in the past - too messy and sticky, and unfolding them is a nightmare - but this mask was really fun and pleasant to use.

The mixing is simple, and you get oodles of 'serum' to infuse your mask with. Mine was dripping. I used the excess on my neck, decolletage and shoulders.

The mask smells pleasant and feels relaxing and cooling. I looked like something from a horror movie, and was glad my kids didn't wake up and see me looking all scary haha.

I left it on for 20 minutes, I felt no irritation at all, but it did feel like it was doing something, so that was reassuring I wasn't just wasting my time.

After use my skin was red and glistening from excess product. It was that 'just had a facial' look. The following morning, my skin was smooth, soft and glowed. Seriously, I looked good. A teacher commented on my beautiful skin at the school drop off, so safe to say I am really happy with the results.

The reasons for not marking it 5/5 - I think these will retail for $5-$6, so encouraging use 3 times a week is expensive.

There is quite a bit of product left over, which feels wasteful.

Otherwise, if you have dull skin, that needs a lift - give this wee intensive treatment a go. Bet it surprises you!

Felt good would recommend!

I had never used this type of mask before so wasn’t really sure what to expect. It is bit of a fad to work. I found it tricky to get the folds right so you got all of the liquid out and onto the mask. But the mask saturated really well so next time I wouldn’t worry so much. The mask fit my face pretty well and where it didn’t it didn’t matter as there was so much liquid that you I still got a great coverage. It was comfy to wear and so I left on longer than the recommended 15 mins. It also had a nice smell so was nice to wear. My skin felt great while wearing the mask and after. It felt hydrated and helped with some dry skin on my nose from dryness with being in the sun. I did one like how it was so drippy that I ended up with some of the liquid in my mouth. Will use again as my skin felt great after. So much better than a normal mask I use.

Tips: Bit messy to use. Ended up with liquid al over my hands, face, mouth and neck. Think it would be easier to use a second time. Would not worry about trying to get all of the liquid out of the packet as there is a bit too much.
