I got this in a Christmas cracker gift set at a make up sale so it worked out as $2 a satchet, which is much more affordable than the RRP. The mask comes in a generously sized satchet with very busy looking packaging, there's a creepy looking face with honeycomb for eyes. I liked that the masque is cruelty free, mostly natural and vegetarian friendly as I am trying to make more ethical product choices.
The masque has a heavenly creamy vanilla and honey scent and it was such a pleasant smell to have on my face for 15 minutes. The masque was quite thick in texture like a moisturiser cream and had subtle grainy exfoliants. I only ended up needing half the sachet for my face and I was using a generous amount. I had ti apply this and rub into my skin to exfoliate as per the instructions which was a bit weird for a masque. The masque felt really cooling on my skin and it was pleasant to keep on there for 15 minutes, not irritating or drying at all.
The mask was quite thick so it took a bit of effort to wipe off fully without leaving too much residue. My skin was left feeling gently exfoliated and smoother, I could feel less texture and congestion in my pores. My skin overall felt plumper and really conditioned.
Overall, this masque was lovely to use and left me feeling pampered with plump and hydrated skin so I'd definitely use it again.
I received a sachet of this in a gift pack. Unlike the other mask sachets this was one that I could use daily so I thought it would be really gentle. The mask smells delicious like cocoa butter and vanilla. It's creamy when you apply it. You apply it with wet fingers and scrub your face for 1-3 minutes, you leave it on for 10-15 minutes and then rinse it off. I like to rinse my masks off in the shower so makes less of a mess and I don't have to use a face cloth and save on laundry. It rinses off fine in the shower with no residue and my skin fell clean but a bit dry, since it's not one of those moisturizing clay masks. It has jojoba beads which is my fave natural manual exfoliators. But unfortunately, the beads aren't concentrated enough for me to actually buff my skin smooth and really "polish" it I feel like the grains are spread out a like half a cm apart when I apply the scrub and so there are small patches that aren't getting scrubbed. Because I like my scrubs to have a more concentrated amount of manual exfoliants I wouldn't be purchasing this when the sachet is finished.
Tips: Personally I found this a bit harsh to use on my skin daily and I don't have sensitive skin. So I would suggest trying this twice a week and see how you skin gets on.
