Garnier Micellar Cleansing Wipes Review

We have had a busy time prior to lock down with a few weddings and similar events.. so needless to say lots of makeup and lots of needing to take off the makeup. I always take off my makeup if I’m home I double cleanse but if I’m away from home or wearing a lot of makeup like I would to a wedding I like to use wipes so I have been working my way through the wipes.

I grabbed these and some Nivea ones. I must say they are on par with the Nivea ones.

I needed two wipes per removal process just to get everything off and ensure wipe was wet enough to remove my full makeup and eye makeup. It really coated two full wipes with the mess from my face. It would be nice to use just one but no.

So it’s a matter of the wipe being A bit small or not wet enough to remove it all to start with.

The scent was fresh I am a bit disappointed with most wipes scents to be honest. I find them a bit plain and not nice.. it’s really just an ok scent whereas I would prefer a lighter scent or none at all especially when using around my eye and nose area.

It really took a lot of pressure and rubbing to use these I would rather in future use a flannel and cleanser I think. I went for convenience but it wasn’t too affordable when I add on the fact I was using a few wipes at a time.

Convenient but pricey. Much prefer a micellar by itself or a cleanser. Use 1 for a clean and 2 (at least) for makeup removal and a clean.

I absolutely love the convenience of pre soaked make up remover wipes!! I wear a lot of waterproof makeup and thick matte foundation. I tend to need minimum 2 wipes for base makeup then I need to actually fold it over eyelashes to scrape mascara off. However in saying that I struggle to find a makeup remover that I do not need to do this with!!!

Price wise these are good as they are very affordable. I did find however that I had to really wipe my face a few times to get the product off. I use and love the micellar water in this range, but this wasn’t really the same! Also dried out very quickly

I use these as my go to way of cleaning my makeup off when I have no time to use a foaming cleanser. It removes makeup instantly, is gentle on the eye area and doesn't leave my skin feeling dry. The pack is small enough to slip in your bag for emergency repairs but the tissue unfolds to a good size to cover a wide area. I highly recommend these.

These are by far the best cleansing wipes , I’ve tried cheap ones expensive ones, big ones , small ones. But these keep the perfect amount of moisture and make cleansing a breeze!

I picked these up on special to try as they were significantly cheaper than my preferred choice and having used miceller water before I thought they might do the trick.

The wipes are soft and easy to use but a little drier then I expected. They claimed to be gentle for sensitive skin which I believe they are however I did find they required a lot of rubbing to remove heavy make up which has the potential to irritate. 

They are affordable but I wouldn't use these again because I think there are better wipes on the market.

I had purchased these hoping for a portable and convenient version of the amazing micellar water. But this was not it! I found these wipes dry, and did not live up to their liquid version. They did not remove all my makeup and I still needed to clean my face after two of these. For a quick refresh they would be fine but I would just use a baby wipe for that for a much more cost effective alternative.

These wipes are touted as being loaded with moisture, but sadly that wasn't my experience.

I love micellar skin products so when these came on special at my local supermarket I thought I'd try them as a comparison to my regular wipes.

The wipe fabric was a little coarser visually than I expected but still felt soft to touch. It also didn't feel particularly moist which surprised me, as that was what the packaging suggested.

I had to rub quite hard to get my makeup off. I was only using a light-medium coverage foundation, so having to rub to get it off was quite an unusual, almost disconcerting experience for me. In the end I had to use 2 wipes to remove all my makeup, leaving me frustrated as I wasn't used to having to double up.

Although having to use 2 wipes and rub much harder than I expected, my skin was not irritated and felt soft to touch. They did the job, but they aren't a brand I would use again. I feel like a product that is touted as having moisture, should actually have it. These wipes didn't. Gentle, yes but moist, no.

I love a good cleansing wipe and for the price these were ok.

The wipes were nice and thick and they removed makeup pretty well, although I did have to use around four wipes for a full makeup. They felt nice and gentle, I had no redness or tingling after use which I can have with strong cleansing products. I found I used my normal micellar water on a cotton pad to remove my mascara, the wipes took a bit much rubbing there.

My biggest dislike was the residue feeling left behind. I'm yet to find a wipe that doesnt leave any residue but these left my face feeling particularly sticky so I always followed up with a cleanser.

I found them ok and very gentle, but I've gone back to my usual brand which removes my eye makeup with more success.
