I first used this in my early 20s when my skin was luscious and plump, and used it for about 5 years. I then started noticing my skin drying out after using it when i was in mu late 20s but continued to use this as it was my favourite cleanser. I started to notice as my skin changed that i felt tight and dry afterwards. Im not sure if it was a change in formulation or if it was a change in my skin but have since switched to a cream cleanser that feels more moisturising. Id recommend this for young skin, but remember yoir skin changes as you age!

Tips: A little goes a long way with this product
I really loved this gel cleanser as it doesn't dry out your skin when you use it as a lot of gel cleansers do. You don't need a huge amount and it has a refreshing smell with a touch of mint coming through. It doesn't foam up a great deal which I think people associate with cleaner skin but usually I find the foaming cleansers strip your skin of their natural oils also which this one doesn't. it does say it has a natural exfoliant in it which I feel adds to the smoothness of your skin after use.
Tips: For a bit of extra exfoliation, use in conjunction with an exfoliating cloth
Upon opening the box the first impression was wow the bottle is glass, and the inside of the box is so pretty. I love that the bottle is glass and it looks nice on my bathroom shelf. The smell is a light sent and definitely not over powering. The clear liquid is the consistency of regular pump soap and is easy to dispense one handed using the pump on the bottle. I liked how it felt on my skin and how it left my skin feeling once rinsed off. I was impressed with how easily it removed my makeup. The bottle is a good size and as I didn't seen to use a lot per wash it would last a long time.
Such an easy to use product and smells so good! When the bottle turned up it felt luxurious and expensive (it is Trilogy after all!) and is pricier than I usually use. But it felt like a treat.
The pump dispenser bottle makes it easy to get a good portion of the gel out, rather than having to fiddle with screw top lids etc. And I found that one pump was more than enough to get the job done. This is probably due to the gel formula rather than a liquid or cream. I tried this gel on both wet and dry skin and felt that it worked better on dry. No idea if this is right or not!
It rinsed off easily leaving my skin feeling nice and clean. But the best thing is the smell. That alone made me feel refreshed.
Tips: Try using on both wet and dry skin and see which you prefer
Everything about this product screams luxury. The packaging, the heavy glass pump bottle. The cleanser has a botanical smell - its not overpowering, nor does it smell over-fragranced, it just smells like you'd expect from a natural product.
The gel cleanser is thick and 1 pump is plenty for the face and neck. Any more than 1 pump and you'll be wasting product.
This feels instantly clarifying - as I used it on my oil prone chin I could feel the change in skin texture immediately, its really cleansing and refreshing.
I've been using once a day in the shower and feel that my skin is definitely balanced and even, the oily t zone is kept oil free all day and my whole face feels smooth and clean.
Great product, zero complaints here!
I really love this cleansing gel. It left my skin feeling incredibly refreshed and light. I love the smell, its like a really refreshing scent that bounces all round the shower when you use it. The bottle also looks quite nice sitting in the shower. It foams up quite nicely and the little bubbles feel like they are dancing over your skin. I highly recommend this cleanser.
I'm a fan of this cleanser and I've been surprised by just how much I've enjoyed using it each evening to clean the day away. It has a pleasant, fresh smell, comes in a hefty glass pump bottle, gets up a nice lather without being soapy, and isn't harsh on the skin.
The recommendation for combination and oilier skin types makes sense. I have combination skin and I found this cleansed both the oilier and the drier parts of my face nicely. I didn't experience any irritation or dryness during my trial of this cleanser. If your skin is dry/ sensitive, Trilogy has some lovely, gentle cleansers in their range which I would use instead.
A double-cleanse is always the best option if you've been wearing make up but this product removes an impressive amount first go. I followed with a serum, light moisturiser, and facial oil and found that to be just what my skins needs.
I would purchase this product and can see it being a mainstay in my bathroom- top quality product!
Tips: After massaging this into my skin I let it sit for a couple of minutes before rinsing- just to really let it do it's thing!
This cleanser was MADE for my skin!
I have slightly oily areas, notably my chin and nose, the rest of my skin is I guess fairly normal? The problem I encounter with products tailored for oily skin is that they tend to strip back my normal areas and take them into the dry zone.
The cleanser is just incredible - it has a scent that adds to the shower experience. It leaves skin feeling balanced and really clean - without being too clean.
I really love the glass bottle and pump - one pump is more than enough to cleanse the face so it'll be really economical.
Oily or combo folks....this range is for you!
Bought this on special at Farmers bit pricey but thought i would give it a go after reading reviews on here. Dark brown smoked glass bottle, (thought it would be a lot bigger). Nicely Packaged and bottle looks classy! Clear thinnish gel used 2 squirts in wet hands rubbed into a bit of a lather then applied to wet skin. Rinsed well with warm water. My skin felt amazing and no reaction, as i have sensitive oily skin my skin literally squeaked as i was rinsing off never had that before with a cleanser and cleared up majority of my spots. Been using this for less than a week so really impressed so far. Have been using another gel cleanser, La Roche Possay, but does not live up to this one. Highly recommend! Will try oil next - any recommendations?
Tips: Be careful as glass bottle
This cleanser claims it is non stripping, but even with my very oily skin I found it to be too drying. It almost felt like it was drying my skin out without cleansing properly if that’s possible. The packaging is a very nice glass bottle with a plastic pump which is incredibly aesthetically pleasing. One pump is way way too much for one wash. One full pump from this bottle would be enough to wash my entire body! One half to even a quarter pump is more than enough, any more and it doesn’t lather properly. It smells very strongly of lemon myrtle which I really didn’t enjoy but thankfully it doesn’t linger at all. The size of the bottle is amazing! I love how much there is and it justifies the price. The cleanser itself is a gel consistency and it is easy to use the pump.
I’m honestly quite disappointed I didn’t like this cleanser. I love the packaging and the size and the brand, just not the actual product. I would not recommend this to a friend.
Tips: Only half or a quarter pump is necessary.
