SugarBaby Glow Your Own Way Micro-Needle Facial Roller

First up packaging doesn’t really appeal, pink and silver which looks a little old fashioned. Don’t know what you are buying from the front of box. Gadget is similar size to a large ladies razor, plastic silver handle. Quite cheap looking. Instructions only on outside of box, no pamphlet inside. Using gadget it feels like prickly heat or mild goosebumps. Works like a spiked roller aerating a lawn. After 8 days my face feels hot from the inside, but not hot to touch. It feels softer but prob from the extra cleansing and moisturising as recommended. So far I find little to make me want to use this gadget long term.

…not going to lie, the name of this just automatically got Fleetwood Mac stuck in my head! So starting off on that good note:

What I loved: the packaging! An embossed matte box felt really lux and something a little special. This roller comes in its own clear storage case and it was sealed - especially in this current climate and as this product contains (tiny) needles, it felt sterile and safe to use from the get go.

The product: honestly I can’t say whether it has done much for my skin - but that’s not to say it’s bad. Rather, I expect this is more of a long-term skincare routine situation to see noticeable results. It didn’t hurt to use at all and hasn’t irritated my sensitive skin so far. So that’s a win in my book!

Will I keep using it? Sure - it hasn’t had any negative effect. However I will likely use it more on my hair than skin - I had read somewhere that rollers like this can help stimulate hair growth. So dual purpose makes this even better!

I was definitely very excited to try the mirco-needle facial roller and it was an interesting experience. This instructions say to just lightly roll it over the skin without too much pressure - this is barely felt at all and almost has that feeling of something that would make your face itchy, so don't worry if you think it'll hurt. For the amount of time that I've used this product, I don't know if I'd say I've noticed a huge difference in my skin, it does look a bit clearer, but I think the fine lines have not improved. However, I do have high hopes that the fine lines will start to disappear and I have that faith from the way my skin feels the next morning after using the micro-needle roller. My skin feels soft and so much plumper, this happened just after the first use and continues to happen, which is why I'll continue to use this product as I love the way my skin feels afterwards. I do recommend it, and it's worth trying.

A Beauty Vault purchase, I was super intruiged to try a microneedle home option. This SugarBaby roller seemed like a good starting point, and I am so glad I got it! It comes in a White & Pink box which has good info, inside is a hard plastic case to keep the roller in. The tool itself seems quite cheap looking, and is about the size of a personal razor. The instructions are very clear about use in regards to how often, way to do it, cleaning skin and ensuring the micro needle roller is cared for to avoid infecting your own skin. First time I used it was a night, I trialed just one side of my face, the back of one hand, and my decollatage. skin went a pink and felt quite hot on my face and chest, but not uncomfortably so. The needling itself, a little prickly, but didn't really bother me. Popped an overnight collagen mask on that I'd been using awhile, and went to bed. The next day I had to double take in the mirror. The side of the face I had treated looked so different! Plump, smoother, more alive somehow, fresher. I actually thought this was how I'd look if I was airbrushed. While results only lasted a couple of days, after using 2-3 x a week for a month, I am starting to see longer term improvements. Skin seems to repair more easily, no longer looks so tired, the crinkly look of my sun-damaged decollatage has gone, plus I've noticed small patches on the backs of my hands have started to look smoother again. While it isn't reversing age and sun damage, it is improving the texture, vitality and appearance of my skin. A great tool that I'll continue to use until I need to upgrade to another.

So I’ve only been able to use this 3 times in the review period due to courier delays (thanks covid!) but I found after rolling my skin my serum absorbed easier, moisturiser went on smoothly and while I got some tingling “pain” it wasn’t uncomfortable. My skin was red post using it but that was gone by morning. I’m intrigued to see results over a longer period of time. I will definitely continue to use as I’ve seen excellent results on other people from using these and excited to see what it does.

I have been using this roller every three days as directed and as instructed have been rolling each direction up to five times on all the recommended areas. My routine consisted of cleansing, patting dry and applying serum and then immediately used the roller, resisting the temptation to press in and just letting the weight of the roller be the guide. I am glad that I didn’t press it in as the gentle rolling method recommended on the box was just enough to puncture the skin allowing it to absorb the serum and then the night cream. Even so my skin did slightly redden and tingle a bit for about 30 minutes - alerting me to the fact that I had used it correctly and also realising why the under eye area is off limits ! Already my skin is starting to feel well nourished and tighter, and some of the finer wrinkles are looking hydrated and less obvious, plus a welcome glow that I haven’t seen for a while. So, would I recommend it to a friend - yes I would as even though its early days I can see a very welcome improvement and more to follow.

I was selected through beauty review to give this little boss a try! I will say at first I was a bit scared, I’ve never used anything like it and thought surely it would be a little bit painful? Then I thought.. No pain .. No gain! Boy was I wrong it doesn’t hurt at all! It definitely feels a bit tingly after but not sore! I cleanse my face then applied a night time moisturiser on! I did it every 2nd or 3rd night. In the morning my skin felt amazing and looked smooth still. I’ve noticed my acne scars are also not as dark strangely enough! I’d highly recommend trying this, I can’t wait to see what the results are the longer I do it.

I am loving this dermal roller! The sleek silver design is very chic. The potential benefits of dermal rolling are immense and I'm excited to see if I will get the great results too. I have used this roller twice and it's super easy. After rolling in a criss cross fashion by skin was red and inflamed - I was crossing y fingers that it would not be the case in the morning! Luckily, redness had passed and I was good to go! I am yet to see any real difference to my skin so will continue to use twice a week and see what happens in a few months time.

If I'm being honest, I was a bit scared at first because derma rolling sounded daunting but after reading the instructions and watching a few videos I gave it a shot.

In the time I've had to test it I've used it 3 times, this is to stop overuse and damaging your skin.

I cleansed and used a night cream before my first rolling. It felt like the cream did penetrate deeper. The next day my face was noticeably hydrated all day with a subtle dewiness. I couldn't help feeling my face, it was so smooth.

The second time, I added an essano collagen boost serum before rolling.

The third time I included the combination of the serum and my night cream into the routine. Serum before rolling, night cream after.

I think this is actually an amazing thing to do once in a while, I'm converted. I feel like my skin texture has improved. You will probably need more than 3 goes before any drastic improvements to wrinkles or skin tone. I hope it will eventually reduce my sun spots.

At first I was a bit intimidated by this, I was worried that I would push too hard on my skin or not hard enough etc... but my worries were unfounded. It's absolutely fantastic to use. I have big pores on either side of my nose which have always been a problem for me and I have notice a huge change in that area which I'm so happy about it. The difference is very noticeable, especially under foundation. My skin is usually very combination but now it's taken on a lovely... for lack of a better word... youthfull complexion. My skin looks and feels so much more healthy and full of life. I couldn't have asked for a better result. Cleaning the roller is so easy, I just use a bit of alcohol and let it dry. The handle is a great design and easy to hold which makes using it very simple. I didn't think this would do anything but I was proven wrong which I'm so glad about.
