Broke me out!

I picked this up in the Oasis flash sale for $5! Such an amazing deal so I decided to grab 2 of them and give them to my mum if it didn't suit my skin. I love the black and purple packagaing, my 2 favourite colours.

Consistency wise it is quite thick and it smells nice. I have sensitive skin and thankfully got no stinging or redness when I applied. I used a small amount and massaged all over my face, it didn't dry down and made my skin feel a bit tacky which I absolutely hate.

The next morning when I woke up I unfortunately had breakouts! Ugh! So for me this cream is just too rich and doesn't agree with my skin. I have passed them on and glad I only paid $5 not the full price which I think is $40.

Nice but not enough

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this advertised on Facebook for $15.. Yep $15 apparently they put too much chamomile in the batch but honestly chamomile isn't a bad scent, so it didn't bother me in the slightest.

The packaging of this moisturiser is odd, it comes in a soft squeeze tube with a pump top. It annoys me because somehow I have managed to lose the lid that fits over the pump so now it can't stand upright.

This moisturiser is a slightly pale yellow coloured cream it's not overly thick. I pump out four pumps, It's easily to spread over your face, it absorbs easily and leaves my skin feeling soft.

When I wake up in the morning my skin needs more moisture. It didn't really do anything extra special especially for a night cream I did expect a bit more. Or maybe it's just not suited to my dry skin. I probably won't repurchase because I need something extra for my dry skin

An oasis of sleep

I'm always weary of night creams, because I'm never quite sure how it is that my skin knows what time of the day it is. But when I'm tired, and the week has been long, there is nothing I like better than piling on a night cream and sleeping my worries away. This night cream is thick, and spreads easily, although the smell is a little stronger than I would prefer. It's definitely not an offensive smell, and reminds me of the times that my beauty therapist is putting a mask on my face during a facial, so it leaves me feeling like I'm about to be pampered for a hour or two. Alas, it also dried out too fast on my face for me, and I had the urge to reapply again quickly. Perhaps I hadn't put enough on at first, or maybe that was a true sign that I needed to use it more often to replenish my tired stressed skin. While I'm still not convinced of the night vs day cream and what your skin knows, I can say that this cream shouldn't just be saved for night. I put it on during the day after a mask, and it kept my skin feeling fresh. Besides, if it can revitalise my skin while I'm asleep, then I'm sure it can do it while I'm awake and working hard :) I'm still not a firm convert to night creams yet, but I'm keen to keep trying and if the price is right on this product in the future, then I'll be sure to pick up another bottle to use. It's a bit of a splurge but we all deserve a gorgeous beauty sleep - treat yourself, you're worth it xxx

Tips: Perfect as a night cream, or a day cream (where you don't need to be in the sun because there isn't any SPF in this), this thick lotion also loves your neck and decolletage areas. I found it to be really good on the back of my hands and tops of my feet as well - after all, they're areas that need treating often too.

Current Night Cream

I have mixed feelings about this product, yet I continue to use it as I really like it.

Okay, first off - the formula is quite thick so you don't need too much - and it's quite easy to control how much you want.

The smell isn't pleasing, but it's not overly awful. It doesn't smell like anything in particular, mainly just an unpleasant smell probably of different oils.

It leaves my skin feeling a tad greasy after I apply it, but the next morning it's super soft, so even though I hate the filmy layer it makes on my skin I don't complain because it absorbs through the night and my skin feels so much better in the morning. It doesn't make my skin oily as you'd think it would either.

I have wrinkles under my eyes and I use it especially for that, but I haven't seen a difference at all in their appearance. They're still there, glaring back at me.

The price isn't too ridiculous as it lasts really, really long, and it's made in NZ which I love, I just don't know if I will buy it again as it doesn't do what I want it to do.

Underwhelmed

I expect big things from Oasis, but this wasn't their most exciting product I've tried. I was interested to see they make only one night cream for all skin types, and in fairness I would say it was about right for my combination sensitive skin - neither causing spots, nor leaving dry areas. The smell was pleasant (something Oasis is pretty consistent with!) and it was easy to rub in. Did it do the job? Yeah. Was it a standout product compared to other night creams I've used? No.

Tips: As with all Oasis products, go to a retailer and ask for a free sample before you buy. The samples are generous and the pots are great to refill for travel!

Saw it here first

This is a brand I wasn't particularly familiar with until I saw it on Beauty Review.

Seeing the high rating here convinced me to give it a chance and I am glad that I did. It has a lovely fragrance and an easily absorbed and applied texture.

It is not too thick or overly oily.

In terms of whether it works, I currently need to try it for a bit longer and more consistently.

Most days, I fall asleep before I get a chance to wash my face and apply this.

In saying that, in the time that I have applied it, I am happy with the result

Smells like apples!

I received a decent sized sample of this from Oasis Beauty and really enjoyed using it. It has a lovely apples smell and is thick. When I put it on I really feel like I am putting good healthy things back into my skin. I often put this on when I am dehydrated, even during the day, just to give myself a bit of a vitamin injection! I would definitely buy a full size, apart from the fact that I'm using a full rosehip range and really want to give it a good go!

Oasis Beauty Sleep Night Cream

This is a lovely night cream whcih leaves skin feeling refreshed and repaired. I apply around my eyes at night to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and bags. It has a relatively thick consistency with a cucumber type smell, perfect for restoring and refreshing the skin around my eyes overnight. It leaves skin very very soft and smooth.

A soft night cream

I have particularly dry skin around my nose and chin and while this cream has not instantly hydrated these areas for me, it is a nice and light cream to apply before bed. It is able to be applied to the whole face without making it oily which is especially good for me as my skin isn't all over dry. It has a lavender scent which is calming before bed and helps my brain get into "sleep mode". Is it one of the better night creams on the market? I'm not sure but it is definitely a product that is nice to use

Average Night Cream

I was actually hoping for a little more than what I got for this product to be honest. It’s a good cream, but I wouldn’t say that it stands out above other night creams.

The fragrance is pleasant and the cream is nice and smooth to apply. It leaves my skin feeling soft and well hydrated without being too thick or oily. The pump bottle makes it easy to use and is more hygienic than other night creams that come in tubs that you need to stick your fingers into.

There’s nothing wrong with this product as such, but as for results, I didn’t really see any in terms of rejuvenation or strengthening the skin as claimed. I’m not entirely sold on the price of this product either. There are many night creams out there that could do the same at a more reasonable price.
