essano Superfoods Certified Organic Cinnamon Face Exfoliator Review

This was my first essano superfoods purchase. I'm liking this purchase!

I'd read that the cinnamon fragrance can be strong with the range, but I didn't find this product at all strong - in fact hard to identify specifically if the label didn't tell you it was cinnamon. The cinnamon scent is there in a 'pleasant but subtle cookie baking' type of way, so it's quite subtle.

The exfoliant is gritty but a creamy product, and the grit doesn't dissolve as you work it into your skin, which I really liked so you can keep massaging it in and it continues to do it's thing until you decide to rinse it off. It wasn't scratchy, but wasn't subtle, so I felt like it was actually removing the dead skin cells and refreshing my complexion.

I think for for those that like something a little more than a gentle scrub but not too harsh, this exfoliant is lovely as you feel it getting to work. My skin type tips to the dry side but my skin didn't feel dry after using this, and I did LOVE the softness and brightness of my skin afterwards. I'm impressed.

In short I really liked this exfoliant. Ticks every box.

I am currently using 2 variants from Essano Superfoods and one of them is Organic Cinnamon Face Exfoliator. Me and my husband both loved it because it is so gentle to our skin, cleanse so well and leaves the skin really soft. I also love it for the fact that it has amazing ingredients. Moreover, it removes the makeup very well in first wash otherwise normally I would wash my face twice with other cleansers. I will surely use it again.

Exfoliates are one of those things that are either used up entirely until the last squeeze or its pushed back to the back of my beauty cabinet until further notice, luckily this was my main squeeze for months to follow and wasn't acquainted with all the other fellow disappointed products.

Going back to November of last year I was at my local grocery store scouting for a new exfoliator to help scour the dry skin from my face and hopefully restore a bit of life into it as well. ( Was I asking too much?) Looking at all of the exfoliants, there was at least 20 different ones, so I narrowed it down to the Essano range , which I have enjoyed so far, there were a few different types but I chose the Cinnamon one because I was interested to see how this would feel on my skin since cinnamon smells and tastes amazing, I wanted to see what it would do with my skin.

After washing my face with warm water, I use a $1 size amount on my fingertips and starting at my nose, I work my way up to my forehead, down the sides of temples towards my cheeks and chin, it is lightly scented and the formula is creamy which fuses into my skin leaving just the tiny grains. This scrub is gentle and it doesn't feel like its removing much when it actually is. I like to use a warm cloth to remove the scrub from my face before washing it with warm water. Afterwards my skin feels slightly tighter, smooth to the touch and it looks brighter. I use this at least 5 times a week, and I love to do this before I do a full face of makeup, it makes applying foundation effortless.

It was such a relief to find an exfoliant I could rely on, I have repurchased this already.

Smells divine. Feels lovely on my skin. Leaves my skin so smooth and fresh. Both my teenage girls use this product too. It's a winner in our household.
