NIVEA In Shower Body Skin Conditioner For Normal to Dry Review

i liked this product a lot. the size is pretty generous for the price, and the smell isn't in my face too much.

i rubbed it in like a normal lotion, but in the shower! and when i got out i simply dried myself and dressed and carried on with my day.

i didn't think i needed heaps, i probably used more than if i was moisturizing outside of the shower though. but again, friendly price point and new world often have this on sale.

I got this in one of my Black Boxes and found it quite a lovely scent. It takes a little longer to complete my shower routine but leaves my skin smelling fresh and clean. I have such dry skin and find that this product doesnt quite suit my needs. Nice product if you arent in a rush but a little too much effort for me at 5am!

I picked this body conditioner up at a sale and thought it would be a great idea, I don't moisturize myself as much as I should so why not do it in the shower? And if it feels luxurious than I'd be willing to spend the time. It wasn't. I ended up having to use so much of the product and while it did feel lovely and velvety, once out of the shower and dried off I didn't see any improvements to my skin. Even the soft feeling you get after using a bar of soap wasn't there.

I received this in my black box and only used it as directed the first few times but after that I just mix it with my normal body wash and it leaves my skin feeling soft, it is annoying that once it starts going down it gets harder to get some out.

I just realised when BR posted on Facebook that I haven't reviewed this absolute gem that I tried last year! Cannot speak highly enough about this in shower moisturiser. It actually works just as well as a regular moisturiser (if not better because you don't feel all sticky for most of the morning)!

So obviously the disaster was not in relation to the product. This product is the goods and I need to get my hands on more. The disaster was in relation to my clumsiness! I dropped my precious bottle (it is a little bit awkward to hold I'll admit) and when it hit the shower floor I actually got a big whole in the side and all the goodness came pouring out! Haha. I was travelling at the time and (kid you not) carried the moisturiser that I managed to save in a snaplock bag for a week before I decided I had to part with it.

Moral of the story = give this stuff a go. It really worked for me!

I am a big fan of this skin conditioner. I'm lazy (read my other reviews) and I can never be bothered to moisturise my body normally. This product gives me no excuse to have dry skin anymore. Just whack a small amount on your body, have a quick rinse and towel yourself off as usual.

I don't even use this product everyday in the shower (I'm THAT lazy) however I have still noticed that my skin is smoother and the scent is pretty pleasant.

I agree with the other reviews that any residue on the shower floor makes it extremely slippery.

I had heard great things about this product so I was pretty excited to try it (thanks Black Box!). It is a really great idea and it saves you a lot of time.

But... I can't bring myself to love it because it seemed so wasteful. You need so much of it and it, well, washes off. The packaging is such that you can't get out the last bit of product. The packaging is really bulky and heavy, even when the product is finished. I'm trying to move towards more environmentally-friendly products so this one made me squirm a bit.

On the other hand, Nivea doesn't test on animals - yay! - so they're ahead of many other brands.

Would I recommend this to someone else? Yeah, in context I probably would. Will I buy it again for myself? No, I won't.

I had high hopes for this product, but it just didn't live up to my expectations in terms of moisturising my skin.

The bottle size was excellent, and easy to use, with the lid at the bottom and a squeezy bottle so you could get the product out easily enough (very handy while dripping wet in the shower, only one hand needed). It has a lovely frangrance, not too overpowering. And the time saving factor was a huge plus in my books, the only downside was it just didn't provide the moisture levels I'd have expected from a Nivea product. It felt as though I was washing all the moisturising qualities down the drain while rinsing. So close yet so far.
