Clinique Anti-Blemish Cleansing Bar for Face and Body Review

I am such a huge fan of this product. I first tried this when I was using the Clinique Anti-Blemish 3-Step program and was recommended it by one of the Clinique counter ladies as an alternative to the Anti-Blemish Cleansing Foam as she said it was essentially the same formula but in bar form.

I really love the packaging of the bar, it's larger in size than a standard soap and comes with a branded soap dish with lid to store it in when you're not using it. This keeps it from getting soft in the shower, gathering soap scum and wasting product. I also found it really handy to travel with.

The cleansing bar is softly scented and smells just like the cleanser. It lathers really easily, I used it both on a loofah in the shower to combat bacne, as well as lathering it between my palms to cleanse my face.

I've used both the cleansing bar and the foaming cleanser and I found it works just as well as the foaming cleanser but you get a lot more use out of it. After washing with it, my skin felt really clean and fresh but not overly dry like some acne cleansers can leave your skin feeling. I also found it was one of the most effective products in clearing my acne.

The only downside to the Clinique Anti-Blemish range I found was it is a little more pricey but considering how well it works, it's definately worth it! I have been through a few of these so far and would continue to repurchase. I would recommend the cleansing bar to anyone with acne-prone skin looking for a gentle but effective product.

Consistency - This product is a bar soap which foams up nicely.

Application - At first I thought it was strange to be washing my face with bar soap, but it lathered up nicely in my hands allowing me to effectively wash my face, I have also used this alongside my olay regenerist face brush at times and it worked well also.

Usage - A small amount of this product goes a long way. The small trial sized bar lasted around a month of everyday use.

Price - This product is a little more expensive than most cleansers I have tried in the past however it would last a long time.

Packaging - The bar was stamped with clinique on the top which was nice, the full size bar comes in a soap box to store it in.

Results - I did enjoy using this product, it cleaned my face effectively without leaving that tight stripped feeling to the skin. It didn't completely get rid of my blemishes but did help keep new ones away.

Skin Type- I have very fair combination, blemish prone skin. I get an oily t zone but other areas of my face often get dry.

Repurchase - I will definitely consider repurchasing this product when my current one runs out, however I may stick to supermarket cleansers while I remain on a student budget.

This bar is FANTASTIC!!

I looks like a bar of soap but is bigger. Also, it comes in some pretty excellent packaging, so you can take it away with you without too much mess!

I think that even though its a bit pricey, it lasts a really long time because you don't need to use much.

It also didn't give me that dried out feeling on my face like a so many other facial products do. My skin felt really fresh and soft.

Definitely something worth trying, guys. It really is fantastic!!!

I love this, Recieved a sample kit of this whole 3 in one set and I love the cleansing bar. (still using my sample) which shows that a little goes a long way! And the full size product comes in a cool dish to keep it clean and also prevents any product getting wasted and is perfect for travel.

Even though the bar seems pricey it is a bigger size than an average bar of soap.

I found that you needed to cleanse makeup off first as this is more of a deep cleanser rather than a makeup remover. And then use this soap, just lather up on your face and wash away and my skin felt amazing!

I also have really sensitive skin and found that my face wasn't as red as it is with a normal drug store cleanser. and if you follow up with the other two steps of this set your skin is fab.

I had really bad pregnancy acne before using this set and found it had cleared up in only 3 days. Which reminds me I need to begin with this again!

I love this bar! such an amazing product to use to clear and cleanse the face! its also really gentle and works well in clearing up skin!

This is my everyday cleanser. I originally purchased it because I liked (and still do) the idea of a cleanser in a handy bar form. I love it! It is a bit expensive, but because it's so large (the size of a large bar of soap) it lasts an incredibly long time.

It's incredibly easy to use, lathers up just like soap!, and is very good at removing eye make up.

I love that it comes with a handy little case for travel. Makes those weekends away that much simpler!

I got this in a sample size when I brought a few other clinique things, I thought that this would be great as I love the rest of the stuff from here but sadly it didnt really help my face, all it did was make it drier than my face usually is which sucks, and made no difference to the blemishes or preventing them, i think that there is better out there for the price. my face did feel a lot softer after the use of this though

Great product, it doesn't dry skin out or sting if you have blemishe or irritate if you have sensitive skin. It's long lasting and reduces and prevents blemishes.It has cleared all my blemishes and I would go a day with out using it (and the rest of the three step kit)

Received this as part of a trial set from Clinique counter, never would have dreamed of purchasing myself. The idea of washing my face with soap just seemed insane

The sample has lasted me three weeks so far, so seems really good value.

The bar is super foamy when using, and somehow is non drying. Face is left with no tight feeling.

Product has no perfume or scent which doesn't bother me either.

The bar of soap is a little difficult to travel with or use in the shower. But as it seemed to clear up and slow down blemishes, I can live with it.

I truly love this bar. I would never thought to use a bar of soap on my face. Leaves my skin feeling really clean and fresh. Really gentle on the skin which is great. It did help to clear my blemish away and leaving my skin looking good.

I would definitely consider trying this product again and it is worth trying out. High recommended.
